I just don't get why this guy hasn't been on the field. With the way are offense is playing and all the balls T.O. drops why not pout him out there more. For some reason ever since we drafted this guy i have had the feeling he could be a star and all he needs is that one shot. I don't know do you guys agree or????????????

6.5 million reasons why TO has been out there not Johnson. However with Owens injury i think you see Johnson and hopefully Hardy out there.

I agree that he should be given a shot and with Owens hurt, he will probably get it. He had two TD's last year and showed some promise. I don't think that Hardy will be fully ready to start coming off the PUP, but they need to get him in there too and see what they have. Josh Reed's going to be a free agent at the end of the year and T.O. will be long gone by the time mini camp rolls around. At this point in the season the Bills need to start playing the younger guys and find out what they've got (or lack). That way they're in a better position to know what to draft next year.

Agree, we should have traded T.O. when we knew we were'nt a playoff team. Let's see what we have for next year even though we don't have a QB capable of getting them the ball. Evans will be here, I hope they resign Reed. Let's see what Hardy and Johnson have. Parrish will likely be gone unless the new regime likes him. I would like him to stay as a fifth or sixth receiver. If Nelson does'nt put on some weight and can't block he could make a nice large receiver. We should not draft or bring another receiver until someone can throw them the ball. A large TE would be nice.

You mean a sign-and-trade?

Considering that any team could have signed TO as a free agent, and no one chose to outbid us, it's very doubtful that anyone would give us anything in the draft for him. He certainly hasn't done anything to increase his own trade value while here!

That said, I agree with your overall thought process. We should start getting our younger guys out on the field. This is a rebuilding year. As next year will also be.

Well, sign for training camp and season ticket sales, then Trade

As for Stevie "Hall of Fame" Johnson, if any of the other GM's in this league saw even half the potential or ability in him that the fans here do, he would have never made it past the first game on the practice squad

it was reported that at the deadline, Baltimore called the Bills wanting to make a deal for TO, but Buffalo told them he wasn't available and they were happy with him

Not necessarily. Had we moved him before the deadline, his new team would have the right to slap the franchise tag on him at the end of the season.

We definitely should have moved him. It would have been a win-win for both teams and player. Another screw-up by the guys at One Bills Drive.

I have a hunch TO wanted to stay. Days off/light practices no accountability for performance. It's easy playing for DJ.

Seadog, I love the picture on your profile, man!

I think the problems are so large, that to pin them on 1 aspect alone would be entirely reactionary. Blowing up the offensive line and replacing them with rookies and cast-off's was not brilliant. It may have needed to be done, but the Walker botch really hurt the line. I do believe that Levitre, Wood, Butler, and Hangartner are an improvement over what we had. But this year it is clear that they are overwhelmed.

The receivers can be blamed. How many passes has Owens dropped?

We also can't forget that Van Pelt was thrown the keys to the offense the week before the opener. I am hoping to see an overall improvement now that Van Pelt has had the bye week to clean things up.

Fred Jackson has been the sole bright spot.

Owens will be gone (thankfully), and I too hope that Reed is brought back. He is a poor man's Hines Ward. Parrish will likely be gone. I would say that it is time for Hardy to justify his his draft position and also time for Johnson to show us what he has.

I read some writer's bit on ESPN earlier this week. The fellow stated that TO has been thrown to 50 times this season, caught 23, and leads the league with 9 drops. :wallbash:

BTW, Red...thanks for giving us your takes on the Redskins. Always nice to read comments on another team from someone that watches them.

Not jumping on you personally my friend, but are we back on this topic again? Seriously? :wallbash:

I know, isn't that so clever? Let's have you and SeaDog explain to us what a Socialist is without using wikipedia and how exactly Obama fits the description of a socialist. I love how George Bush embarasses the US around the world for eight years and Republicans are like, "gotta stand behind the president no matter what" and then the moment Obama gets elected they are ten times more hateful toward him than Democrats ever were toward Bush and the dude hasn't even done anything yet. SeaDog. Get outta here with that s**t. Why don't you go back to Wyoming County, go hunting with your toothless Uncle, go and yell at a Town Hall meeting that you want your country back and then go to an Evangelical mega-church on Sunday.
