It's the same strategy as 1/6 - "Sicknick killed by insurrectionists" or Rittenhouse "killed black people." They know that the emotional impact of the initial (false) story is what will stick with most normal people.

And again the question needs to be asked: our laws and Constitution are set down in black and white, forever inscribed into our nation's founding documents as well as acts of Congress. I laughed pretty good at me as a golf coach. The situation is somewhat reversed, but it still applies. I don't deny that adverse life circumstances can affect standardized test scores. I deny the idea that these factors affect all people in the same, measurable way. We can throw statistics around all we want but growing up poor and going to a high school with no AP curriculum doesn't bring the same amount of "adversity" to each person, just like being ugly or pretty doesn't affect everyone the same way. Kids of the same age can grow up next door to each other, each in a four person family that includes a single mom who is chronically unemployed, and not experience the same amount of "adversity." Yet according to the chart in the article they would receive the same "adversity score." The other issue with this is that it's really just a preening virtue signal from College Board. Colleges can ignore it if they want, they can use it if they want, but at the end of the day it has no effect on your actual combined SAT score (similar to the writing portion they added some time ago), just like it won't have any effect on your ability to do well in college. Colleges also already have ways of capturing this information in their application process (like they capture writing ability with the admissions essay). College Board doesn't care if a poor black child gets into Harvard, they care about their image in our hyper-PC culture. If they cared that much, they'd give away their SAT prep books by the dozens at "undermatching" high schools. One's math and reading scores on the SAT and one's ability to do well at university both come down to three things, in my estimation: brain power, willingness to prepare/put in the work, and quality of previous education. Exactly one of these is up to the student. Sucks to suck, life isn't fair; but adversity, measurable or not, doesn't prepare you for the academic rigor of higher education, and it certainly doesn't prepare you to pay off the massive debt that comes after you flunk out.

As has already been point out, racism is a faith-based explanation that doesn’t survive scrutiny or controls for commonly attributed effects of racism, such as SES. And once again you’ve failed to engage with all the data. Not only are blacks imprisoned and arrested at rates higher than one might expect given their population share, they also victimize people at a higher rate than their population share would predict based on victim statements. This removes the criminal justice system from the equation, including police and prosecutorial bias.

Read my posts ITT. Engage the data. Victimization surveys reflect similar ratios as incarceration data. They are data from victims of crimes regardless of the outcome of the criminal justice system in regard to the crime. "Racism" is your all-purpose, faith-based rationalization for every interesting disparity in race-based data in America. And again, your "racism" boogeyman seems to not affect black women nearly as much as it does black men in regards to criminality. That seems odd since they're both black. It also skips over the fact that Hispanics as a group have actually decreased their arrest and incarceration rates in recent years. But that's an unwelcome distraction for those who make a living peddling the sacrament of "anti-racism." Read it again. 2600 offenders were black when the victim was black. Need to add 514 (white victim), 39 (victim of other race), and 24 (victim of unknown race) to that number.

I'm well aware of the numbers. But the OP is talking about a specific subset of crime and the victimization burden thereof. That you want to pull the wool over people's eyes doesn't change the numbers. Whites are about 5 times as numerous as blacks. But the number of victims of white on white crime is not 5 times as high as the number of victims of black on white crime. Curious! Additionally, from my earlier link:

I've provided both homicide data and violent crime data generally (excluding homicide, but we can add the UCR stats to the NCVS stats if you want quick and dirty math). The NCVS is violent crime other than homicide, in 2019 that split was 84/16 black on white/white on black. The UCR homicide stats split was 70/30. Homicide being rarer than the other violent crimes the final figure will be closer to the 84/16 than the 70/30. But in both cases the victimization burden is much higher for whites than for blacks when speaking on interracial crime.

As I implied but did not explicitly state: the NCVS doesn't capture homicide victimization because homicide victims are a tough interview. And again, you aren't engaging the OP. He stated "violent crime." Which is what I addressed. But in regard to homicide, in 2013 there were 598 homicides in which the races of both victim and offender were known and one was black while the other white. You’ve been trained for years to ignore things like this or write them off as outlier situations by the media and your fellow mainstream “conservatives” for decades. If you even mentioned the fact that black people could ruin any random white person’s life just by posting video of said white person objecting to a black person committing crime against them, you were cancelled and shunned.
