  1. I hated reading "The Catcher in the Rye" in school. Holden Caulfield was a lazy punk who needed a good butt kicking. Boo hoo, life is tough. Get over it.
  2. Odds are he'd be watching a Harry Potter movie with BOTH hands on the wheel.
  3. You could just make a rectangular cake and make the picture with the frosting. Check out these pictures. http://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com/family-guy-cakes.html
  4. The network should run it between ads for Victoria's Secret and GoDaddy.com.
  5. Jerry Sullivan is not a reporter, he's a columnist, which means he offers his opinions on situations, not just objective facts. That's his job, and as long as it sells papers, he's doing his job of creating a debate for and against his opinions. It's an opinion maker's job to elicit an emotional response. So as some of the post reflect, he's done his job. He's not there to be a Bills cheerleader.
  6. That will never happen. The best we can hope for is a cardboard stand-up of Cowher at the press conference. Ralph will thank him for showing up to give his support to the new hire.
  7. I hope he gets drafted by the Oakland Raiders. Let him take that message to the Raider nation. You ever notice that when a religious player does well, they praise God for guiding them and helping them succeed. But when they have a bad game, they never say, "God abandoned me today, I was really let down that he didn't show up to support me".
  8. He forgot about the facelift that made him look Asian. I heard that Ralph wants to save money by hiring Dick Jauron as DC.
  9. Big difference in responding to a disaster in our own country and a foreign island country. There was a lack of National Guard resources because many of them were in Iraq. You could helicopter troops and supplies into New Orleans without waiting for days if they were available, you can't helicopter to Haiti.
  10. Maybe this is the opportunity in the long term to rebuild Haiti into a more self-sufficient country. We can't do it alone, but as usual the U.S. will have to take the lead. Even from an immigration standpoint, we have to give those people a reason to stay in Haiti and not have a mass exodus of boat people to Florida.
  11. If they had nothing, they would already qualify for government aid. It's for the working poor and middle class who try to make ends meet but need some help so they don't go bankrupt from health bills. And since the conservatives don't do anything regarding health insurance when they're in charge, I guess it will take a liberal.
  12. The initial $100 million in aid to Haiti Obama announced is for the basics like life-saving equipment and food. I've already heard Rush criticize Obama for jumping on this issue quickly to get a political advantage. I suppose he would prefer he sit back and wait a few days. Then a local radio conservative today said he wouldn't help them, it's time they learned to take care of themselves.
  13. Who's defending him? Just because he was right about Iraq doesn't absolve him from this. OJ was still a great running back. His behavior since doesn't change that.
  14. He thinks Avatar is a liberal/communist propaganda film that promotes the global warming/conservation agenda. He also thinks Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs promoted living together outside of marriage, and Aladdin promoted acceptance of Muslim jihadists.
  15. Once California legalizes marijuana, everyone there will mellow out and not care who marries who.
  16. Glad to see a right winger admit that FOX lies.
  17. Like Rick Lazio is the answer. I don't care if he runs, just as long as Andrew Cuomo also runs.
  18. Big deal. That's how I pay my mortgage, car payments, utilities, and insurance. You can set up almost any bill to be paid with a direct withdrawal from your account. More efficient and on time. Add health insurance premium for those that choose that option to the list.
  19. Present--Robert Di Nero / Johnny Depp Deceased--Marlon Brando / The Three Stooges Present Foreign--Russell Crowe / Mel Gibson Foreign Deceased--John Candy / Peter Sellers
  20. We don't need to hear about your preferences in the bedroom. Now what's the answer to the toilet paper question?
  21. As a kid they were: It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World Jerry Lewis movies As a teen they were: Animal House Slap Shot Young Frankenstein As an adult they were some I didn't appreciate when I was younger: The Odd Couple (Mattheu/Lemmon) The Producers (Mostel/Wilder) A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum Office Space Space Balls
  22. Mohammed would have been treated as a martyr and the religion would still have flourished. And sombody already beat you to Jesus, so that wouldn't make a difference. If there was no WWII, the U.S. would never had become, or would have delayed in becoming, the economic and military superpower we became. An alternative would have been to go along with Patton and integrate the regular German army into pushing back the Russians out of Eastern Europe, which could have prevented the Cold War and proxy wars we were involved in after. But would the cost of more soldier's lives been worth it? Or at the very least have a healthy and strong FDR who could have forced a better deal with Stalin. How about protecting John Kennedy so he was never assassinated. I would have liked to have seen how events turned out if he had continued as president.
  23. A couple weeks ago Peter King was pushing for the Bills to hire Frazier as head coach, and Mike Leach as OC. Do we really want another low-key defensive coordinator who was a defensive back? Been there, done that. Unless he could bring Pat Williams and Jared Allen with him, i'd rather take my chances with a coach with an offensive background, where we need the real work.
  24. The real embarrassment will be if they ask Mark Tressman to interview and he turns it down because he'd rather stay in Montreal.
