  1. Over. I think the worst they can do (barring no major injuries) is 9-7. I'm looking at 11-5 this season otherwise.
  2. What if VY looked great against the Steelers, then came in for Fitz sometime in the regular season and looked abosultely awful?
  3. I'm glad Brohm is gone. There's so many 'what if's' out there from the past. If the Bills drafted Ngata instead of Whitner.... If Flutie started the playoff game vs the Titans game instead of Robosack... If Steve Johnson caught the ball in the Steelers game in OT, the Bills wouldn't have been able to draft Dareus... etc...
  4. Don't get me wrong, both AW & Gilmore have been burnt for big plays. I think the front 4 is going to be great this year and will do their part on defense, but the LB's and secondary won't be able to finish the job, at least right away until they develop, which could take half-way through the season or longer, and that's what concerns me.
  5. I think it's going to take some time for AW to develop into a solid corner. He was oft-injured last year, so that slowed his development. I don't know if putting him in right away as a starter this year was a wise move by the coaching staff.
  6. Good points! I wonder if the same things can be said about Bradham & Carder coming in at some point in the season.
  7. I've noticed that with Mario. I'm just hoping that he's taking it easy in preseason, due to his prior injuries, then turns up the intensity in the regular season.
  8. Not disagreeing that, but he did make some plays as well, especially having an INT that he took back for a TD against Brady in the first meeting with the Pats.
  9. The biggest concern I have is with our secondary, it is filled with 1st & 2nd year players (not including Wilson & Byrd). I think it's going to take at least to mid-season, maybe until until the end of the season for the secondary unit to develop & start coming together as a group. So far, I haven't seen anyone on defense (including LB's) turn their heads around when the ball is in the air, and try and make a play on the ball. In two separate games, both Barnett & A. Williams were in position to make a play on the ball, but failed to turn their head around, which resulted in a completion for the opposing offense.I was hoping McGee would have been ready by now, because the Bills will need his experience in the backfield. Also, I'm concerned that cutting Drayton Florence might come back and haunt the team early on this season. Granted, Florence is not the same player that he once was, but like McGee, the Bills need some veteran experience in the backfield until the young guys get up to speed.
  10. If teams didn't rest their starters, the Jets wouldn't have made it to the playoffs, but sometimes that's all you need is luck. The Giants barely made the playoffs last season and won the Superbowl. I give credit for the Jets making it to the AFC Championship game that year. The playoffs is a brand new season.
  11. "(Love it though, they made their bed this year!)" I agree 100% The Jets tried building an immediate winner like the Cowboys & Redskins and got as far as the AFC Championship game twice (I agree the first year was by luck). Now, they have to rebuild, but they're still doing whatever it takes to remain in the spotlight and have the media focus a ton of attention on them, just so they can sell tickets.
  12. Rex has proven to be a good defensive coordinator, but his HC skills are now coming into question, especially since going 8-8 last season. But in regards to Rex & the GM, the NFL is a "What have you done for me lately" league, and I'm not the only one blaming the GM for not getting enough offensive weapons: http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/08/28/jets-head-coach-rex-ryan-on-hot-seat/?module=HP11_headline_stack "This isn't all on Rex," NFL Network and NFL.com's Steve Wyche said Tuesday morning on "NFL AM" when asked of the head coach's precarious predicament. "This is on (general manager) Mike Tannebaum, who put that personnel in place, who signed some guys to some contracts that have become prohibitive. They don't seem like they have a lot of depth in a lot of areas; the talent really isn't there."
  13. I'll give the GM credit, he brought in good caliber talent, and the Jets went to the AFC Championship game twice. But, like Promo stated, he brought in "unstable talent - Me first players". I heard reports that the Jets players were unfazed by the losses in the AFC Chamionship game, and were out partying afterwards. The Jets were 8-8 last year, and look to be worse this year. After going 8-8, the GM needed to do more than just bring in the Holy Diver [Tebow].
  14. You're right, previously their GM brought in a lot of good talent, but I was referring to this year. The Jets first string offense did not score a TD in the preseason, and the lack of offensive weapons is showing. Plus, the RT spot is a disaster area for them.
  15. Between Rex's antics, and their GM's failure to bring in more talent and the offensive side of the ball, that team is ready to implode.
  16. While I was getting ready for work, I was watching NFL A.M. on the NFL network. They played about a minute of Jets fans calling in on a national radio show, just completely bashing their team. The one I enjoyed the most was when a fan said "They brought in a guy that was a failure at head coach, and now he's our offensive coordinator"...Classic!!! Here's the other highlights from that segment: http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/08/28/jets-head-coach-rex-ryan-on-hot-seat/?module=HP11_headline_stack
  17. Good analysis of the starting unit. I think the starting defense did a great job up until the final drive before the half. One thing I wish Bills defenders would start doing is turning their heads around, so they can make a play on the deep pass. I've seen numerous Bills defenders in position to make a play, but failed to turn their head around in time, resulting in a catch for big yards.
  18. They both looked awful, but Vince has 1 TD drive in the preseason compared to zero for Thigpen. Either way, the backup QB position does not look good.
  19. When the Bills played the Broncos in preseason last year, they looked like crap. When the Bills played the Broncos in the regular season, they beat the crap out of them. It's preseason.
  20. Another week, another terrible showing by the backups
  21. Bills definitely need to draft a QB next year. If Fitz doesn't have a much improved season this year, then the Bills will have to draft 2 QB's, with 1 being in the first round.
  22. Choice is looking very good so far
  23. Since I ordered "preseason live" on the internet, I decided to check out the 1st half of the TB/NE game. TB had a couple sacks on Tommy Boy, followed by more QB pressures. The TB defense had a nice deflection on a Brady pass intended to Gronk in which rookie S Mark Barron ran back for a TD. I saw on the NFL network, both Tommy Boy & Belichek were pissed at how bad the O-line was and how they performed on offense.
  24. Nope, you're not alone. Looking forward to seeing Dirty Sanchez & The Holy Diver running for their lives against the Bills front 4. "TeeeeeEEEEEEEE-BOW....WHHHHOOAAAAHHH NOOOOOO!!!!"
