Just because the Toronto group is confident, doesn't mean they are going to win. It's still Pegula's to lose. Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 2m Though some outlets have reported Golisano out of derby, other sources say still interested. Unsure if he bid today. Plays by his own rules.

http://www.wgrz.com/story/sports/nfl/future-of-the-bills/2014/09/08/buffalo-bills-formal-bidding-process/15298051/ Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 2m Multiple sources involved with Bills sales process believe this can be wrapped up by the end of the week, maybe by Wednesday.

Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 2m Pegula bid is in. Trump bid is in. And I'm told the Bon Jovi/Toronto group is quietly confident it can pull off an upset. Tim Graham @ByTimGraham 3m Multiple bids submitted today for Bills. Trust's target price higher than $1 billion the Browns sold for in 2012 almost certainly to be met.

WIVB News 4 Buffalo @news4buffalo 3m RT @LaurenBrill4: Source says 100 percent Donald Trump making a final bid but he isn't going to over bid.

Seantrel Henderson will have to bring his "A" game next week against Cameron Wake next week. I just saw the highlights from the Patriots/Dolphins and Wake had 2 strip sacks on Brady.

Official Fire Danny Crossman Thread
Jerry Jabber replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Special Teams was horrendous last year. Today it looked much improved. -
I had concerns about the O-line going into the game as they we're put together not even two weeks ago. I figured there would be issues opening up holes in the run game and thought Manuel would take more hits/sacks than what he did. It's going to take some time for these guys to gel, but I expect to see the O-line progress each week.

Good, Bad & The Ugly...Week 1
Jerry Jabber replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The offensive play calling was good in the first half. In the second half, it seemed like Hackett reverted back to his preseason play calling. McKelvin had an up and down game. I was very impressed with Corey Graham and hope to see more of him in the starting line up. -
I agree, but let's enjoy the win today!

Marrone yells to Russ "go ahead and fire me"

Maybe Brandon & Whaley will fire Marrone at the end of the season and promote Schwartz to HC and Pepper Johnson to DC (please fire Hackett also!!) -

I remember when I posted this thread and got some negative comments saying I was making something out of nothing, blowing things out of proportion, etc… I’d like to hear back from those geniuses now…still don’t think there’s a problem at OBD? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/170096-turmoil-brewing-between-marrone-and-whaley/ “Mike Rodak @mikerodak 1h Marrone was clearly upset about something. Had some choice language reporters could hear from sideline. Whaley threw up arms in response. Mike Rodak @mikerodak 1h Marrone, Whaley, and Brandon having an animated conversation as Palmer, Manuel, Tuel warm up.” -
Nope. Even when the lease runs out at the Ralph, the NFL relocation fee is around $400-$600M. So if the Bills sell for $1.1B, a new stadium will cost anywhere from $700M-$1B+, then add on the relocation fee, so the Toronto group would be looking at paying between $2.2B-$2.7B+, and that's if the league approves of the move which takes only 9 NFL owners to say "No."

Michael Grange @michaelgrange 37m The Toronto group bidding for the Bills needed to be crazy to win it. They're not and won't: http://ow.ly/B5XdI John Wawrow @john_wawrow 7m odd, the guy chiding Buffalo media on reporting Golisano bidding on #Bills writes bids are due this week. Well, no. Monday is not this week.

I asked Chris Brown from buffalobills.com about the possibility of Brandon Spikes getting a contract extension and got my question answered on the Bills website: "So far through the preseason games, the Bills run defense looks a lot better than it has in years. I feel a big reason for that has been the addition of Brandon Spikes at MLB (and of course, Jim Schwartz as DC). I know Spikes signed a one-year deal with the Bills in the offseason, do you see the Bills offering him a long-term contract extension sometime during the season? I would love to see Spikes re-signed as I feel he’s been a great mentor to the younger players on the team, as well as being a great MLB. Thanks!" "CB: There’s no question that Spikes is a guy that younger players follow. They respect his instincts for the game. To further illustrate that I’ll let LB Ty Powell explain it himself. “Me and Preston Brown are usually side by side, following Spikes and stuff,” said Powell. “Spikes has a lot of knowledge of the game, he has great instincts, so we just follow him around.” The young linebackers on the roster are just trying to soak up whatever they can about playing linebacker in the NFL from Spikes. As for an extension I would expect that to be a wait and see situation, but the run defense is probably the most encouraging thing about this team to come out of the preseason." http://blogs.buffalobills.com/?icampaign=blog_header Hopefully, the Bills will give Spikes a contract extension at some point during the year, as I feel the Bills could have a dominating group of LB's for many years to come (especially when Alonzo comes back healthy).

If you live in the market of a different NFL team...
Jerry Jabber replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get the Foreskins and the Ravens games living in Northern VA. I could care less about the Foreskins but do watch some Ravens games during the year. In general, I am a fan of football and will watch any game that is a good competitive one. Still, nothing beats a Bills game, especially watching it with a group of Bills fans (highly recommend Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA). -
Perception of the Team. From an Ex Bills Fan
Jerry Jabber replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are a good QB and good OC from being a contender. I'm expecting to see Orton starting at some point this season. While it took to the 5th preseason game to get the O-line settled, it happened way too late as it's going to take some time for the O-line to gel. Seeing the O-line unable to open holes in the run game and seeing Glass Joe get hit against the Lions backups was not a good sign. If Marrone was smart, he'd can Hackett ASAP. I feel the defense has improved, same with Special Teams, but the offense has regressed significantly which will be the reason why the Bills will fail (again) this year. I'm going with the 14 year average of 6-10 (again), give or take a game or two. Sorry, no blind optimism from me (until Pegula is the new Bills owner). -
Week 1 predictions: Bills @ Bears
Jerry Jabber replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 30 Bears 27 Glass Joe (excuse me, Manuel) struggles all the way into the 3rd quarter then finally gets going. Bills win it with a FG to end the game. -
Will Marrone get fired before the season and Schwartz take over as HC?

Turmoil brewing between Marrone and Whaley?

I'd love to hear the conversation now between Marrone & Whaley after the stink fest tonight. -
