That was a great play by FredEx -
Ted Nolan stated he would like to talk with Doug Marrone and the Bills coaching staff once the Pegula are officially the Bills owners: http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-Nolan-is-excited-that-this-is-his-team/19933682 "Nolan was asked about the Pegula’s buying the Bills and he has an interesting way of looking at it, “The one thing I mentioned to them is maybe there’s a chance we could meet their coaching staff because I think all sports are intertwined and you learn different things from a different place so I’m looking forward to getting to know the Bills coaching staff and take some ideas from them and they could take some from us."

If it's written by Jerry Sullivan or Bucky Gleason, I don't even bother reading it as it's just a complete waste of time. From Jerry telling Terry Pegula that he needed to listen to him when he bought the Sabres, to Bucky being pissed at Pegula for not apologizing or saying anything at all about the Penn State scandal (which Terry Pegula had no involvement with at all), these guys are just two pathetic jokes that need to be fired!!

Does anyone at the Ravens PR dept. think?

When does Nintendo come out with "Ray Rice Punchout?" -
Since 2003, we’ve seen the Bills start off hot, then fizzle out at least three times: 2003 – Beat the Pats 31-0 and started off 2-0, only to finish 6-10 2008 – Started off the season 4-0, finished 7-9 2011 – Started off the season 3-0 including a week 3 defeat of the Pats, and finished 6-10 I’m enjoying the ride so far, but I’m not getting drunk off the kool-aid just yet.

Thanks for posting that. Do you know if a video has been released showing the entire pre-game ceremony? That would be great to see. -
I heard this last night on WGR that our two Clemson guys, Spiller and Watkins had a combined 317 all-purpose yards (between running, passing and kickoff yards). Those stats are very impressive. While some have questioned Marrone for putting Spiller on kickoffs, I felt it was a smart move as Spiller could be the Bills best return man since Terrance McGee was handling kickoffs. Watkins came very close to having three touchdowns’ yesterday; one was swiped away by the Dolphins defender and the other was a bad throw by Manuel. It’s nice to know that the Bills finally have more than one explosive playmaker on their team. Hopefully this is just the start to many more explosive plays from the Bills.

Hackett too conservative in the red zone?
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The offense did a good job of scoring 22 points yesterday. They faced a good Dolphins defense which held our run gam in check for most of the game. It just seemed that you knew what Hackett was going to do after a while in the red zone, run it on 1st and 2nd down and then throw it on 3rd down. I understand what Hackett is doing with Manuel by calling a conservative game plan to limit Manuel’s mistakes, but he should try and mix up the play calling a little better in the red zone as it’s too predictable and too conservative at times. -
Graham was awesome yesterday and by far the best player in the secondary yesterday. Great signing by Whaley!! RCOHEN, I know Gilmore got beat by Wallace for a TD, but it's hard to knock him for that as Wallace made a highlight reel catch.
-
I’ve read in all the articles today (as well as on WGR last night) about the Bills red zone woes as they struggle to score touchdowns. I’m not sure why Hackett is so conservative when it comes to the red zone? It seems once the Bills get in the red zone, the offense runs two run plays (usually on 1st and 2nd down), then passes on 3rd down. I only saw Mike Williams targeted once in the end zone and didn’t see Scott Chandler targeted at all in the end zone all game long. It would be nice to see Hackett call some more pass plays to his bigger targets in the end zone.

Good points goBills1, but you will have people here such as “Why So Serious” that will tell you Gilmore’s play in preseason is nothing to be concerned about because historically Gilmore’s been a good CB.
-
Graham and Kyle Williams had the INT's, McKelvin had a forced fumble and had a pass bounce off his chest (no INT). It seems McKelvin played better under Pettine. IMO, he's regressed significantly from last season.
-
Mr. WEO, I watched the game and saw McKelvin get burned often during the game. I didn't realize Cutler threw at him 14 times (and he gave up 10 catches), that's a big problem. Last year, McKelvin looked solid as a CB, but in the preseason and in Sunday's game he looked bad most of the time (minus the fumble and in OT when the ball hit him in the chest).
-
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but after reading the article this morning from the Buffalo News which stated McKelvin was targeted 14 times and gave up 10 receptions, that was a big eye opener.

http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/forum/1-the-stadium-wall/ “McKelvin led the Bills with a team-high 13 tackles, but that’s not ideal for a cornerback. According to analytics website Pro Football Focus, which charts every play of every NFL game, McKelvin was targeted 14 times in coverage by the Bears, giving up 10 catches.” On Sunday, Corey Graham had a great game filling in for Stephon Gilmore, while McKelvin had an up-and-down day. Graham had an interception and three passes defended against the Bears. It looks like Gilmore will be back in the starting lineup on Sunday. After being targeted 14 times and giving up 10 catches, it’s apparent the Bears were exploiting McKelvin. While McKelvin is listed ahead of Graham on the depth chart, I feel the Bills should start Graham opposite of Gilmore and give him more reps in the game over McKelvin, otherwise it could be a long day for the Bills secondary on Sunday.

If there's no proof of what's in the NDA, then answer this, why did Morgan Stanley reject JBJ's first bid, then told them to talk to Jim Kelly to make his bid more "Bills Friendly?"
-
I take it you haven't been following the sales process closely. The Bills trust was set up by Mr. Wilson before his death composing of Mrs. Wilson and other Bills front office management with the intention of selling it to a person/group that will commit to keeping the Bills in Buffalo long-term (beyond the current lease). The Bills trust had it's bank create a very strict Non-Disclosure Agreement stating it would not sell to a person/group who it felt would move the Bills out of Western New York.
-
JBJ does not have the money to bid $1.5B. In order to be controlling owner of the Bills, JBJ has to bid at least 30% of the final price. JBJ's net worth is $300M, so the most his group could bid is $1.2B. Also, JBJ has made no assurances that his group will keep the Bills in Buffalo beyond the current lease with Erie County.
