Why so negative after winning season?
Jerry Jabber replied to artmalibu's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We can thank Marrone for hiring Pettine, then Schwartz to replace him. And that's about it. -

Whoever it is, they've made another post on "why so negative after a winning season." -

Once the uncertainty of who the Head Coach will be has been resolved will determine the mood in here. -
Tim Graham's interview on Buffalo Rumblings

You're missing the point, Brandon went on emphatically two years ago that the Bills would do an exhaustive coaching search by which they would leave no stone unturned, but only interviewed about three candidates. From what Graham is saying, once Brandon and Nix interviewed Marrone, they basically stopped searching for other candidates, so in essence Brandon contradicted himself when he made that statement. The coaching search that the Pegula's are doing now is an exhaustive coaching search where they are leaving no stone unturned, which is what Brandon and Nix should have done two years ago. Tim Graham stated in his interview that Marrone's agent did a great job of marketing Marrone as well as hyping him up like he was this hot commodity that many NFL teams coveted, but in essence, Marrone was a .500 coach (meaning average) and there wasn't a market of teams vying for Marrone's services. IMO, that's duping a team. For your other points, I agree with you about the "opt out" clause as there were a lot of uncertainties with taking the job. To me, it's not that big of a deal. The big deal to me was Brandon ranting and raving about how the Bills image has been tarnished, and he was going to leave no stone unturned, but only interviewed a few people for the job. -
Tim Graham's interview on Buffalo Rumblings

Graham did mention that Marrone's agent did a great job of hyping Marrone up (by stating the Browns were very interested in him) when the Bills were interviewing him which is why Nix/Brandon were sold on him, even though he was about the second or third coach they interviewed at that time. So, that exhaustive/leave no stone unturned search that Brandon talked about two years ago was a bunch of garbage as they were infatuated with Marrone after his interview, as well as being duped by Marrone's agent. I think what the Pegula's are doing is very smart as they are new to the game and they want to make sure they are making the right move for the franchise. -

According to Graham's interview, Marrone would read posts on twitter from reporters and would chew out the reporters for anything he deemed as negative. -

If you have 37 minutes, I recommend listening to this interview with Tim Graham of the Buffalo News. According to Graham, the Pegula's were P.O.'d at Marrone the he wanted a contract extension for him and his staff, and did not offer him a contract extension; Marrone was not a nice person, he read everything on the internet and would chew reporters out for things that they posted; Terry Pegula will pick the next HC, Whaley is doing the coordination on the search, Brandon is sitting in just as an advisor, Overdorff is not involved in the HC search. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/videos/2015/1/7/7499869/video-buffalo-bills-head-coach-search-tim-graham -

Scathing article in NY Daily News on Marrone
Jerry Jabber replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've got no doubt's about it's accuracy either. I'm glad someone stated all the negative facts about Marrone and I hope it impact him in the future. I'm just curious as to why someone like Graham, Buscgalia, Sullivan, Carucci, Gleason, etc… didn't write something like this after Marrone quit on this team? -

From what I've been reading on twitter by the Buffalo media, none of the information provided by Mehta is new, so if that's the case, then why wasn't this information made public by the Buffalo media when they supposedly knew about it? -

Schopp actually said he wished the Bills got annihilated against the Patriots. It's an embarrassment to listen to a Bills post game show and hear a commentator say crap like that. -

I think a lot of people on here don't like most of the guys on WGR, especially Mike Schopp. I made the mistake of listening to him after the Bills win in Foxboro, and Schopp stated he wished the Bills got annihilated. -

I have to agree, especially with how Brandon ranted two years ago that the Bills brand was tarnished, and the Bills FO would leave no stone unturned finding a HC that is aggressive and will dictate the game. -

Good question. Now that St. Doug, The Quitter, is gone, will the Bills bring back Mike Williams? -
All I can say is "**** Marrone!" So, he was really bothered by the Buffalo media, combative with players such as Jerry Hughes as well as combative with Bills GM Doug Whaley, then on his way out trashes the organization. This guy has a lot of issues and shouldn't be a HC in the NFL if he is going to act that way (sounds like he'll fit in with the Jets).

Marrone was upset at the Buffalo Media

Marrone is a combo of Dick Jauron and Gregg Williams. Marrone played as ultra conservative as Jauron and had the attitude of Williams. -

When Marrone was hired, he said the coordinators he brings in will be experts in their field. While we can say that about Pettine and Schwartz, and maybe Crossman this year, there's no way anyone can confidently say Hackett is an expert at being an OC. With that being said, how much credit should Marrone get with this year's 9-7 record? Should he get credit for hiring Pettine, Schwartz, and getting players to help out Crossman on Special Teams? One thing is for sure, he is a former offensive linemen and former OC and the offense, especially the O-line has regressed significantly. -

Does Schwartz stay if he's not the HC?

With Polian coming in sometime this month, I wouldn't doubt that Reich is the new HC. -
Adam Benigni @AdamBenigni 16m16 minutes ago as for @viccarucci report Marrone was upset with local media. @BudPoliquin told me at time of hire Marrone had "thin skin"... (1/2) Adam Benigni @AdamBenigni 15m15 minutes ago (2/2) suggesting he might have trouble dealing as NFL head coach. If he was P.O.'d at the Buffalo media, I can't imagine how he'll fare in a larger market, such as New York.
