  2. Is this some scheme to divert attention away from the HORRIBLE Thigpen?
  3. Teaparty trying to get a ban on wonderlics yet?
  4. Errr, that 3 trillion is a conservative official figure dating back to 2008. For the those saying that I threw in a stereotypical response... I sure did! Stereotypical trolling requires stereotypical responses! The Republicans spend and the Democrats clean up, been that way ever since...
  5. I think I may actually go and put Thigpen in the surprise cut thread... Sure he isnt getting anytime and his receivers have been dropping a lot of balls but he is slow getting the ball out himself, seems to focus on single targets; seriously doubting his vision as well. Problem with judging him is that we know by what crap he is being protected.
  6. It got moved to the tradingpost: http://forums.twobil...e-trading-post/ Ps. I'd love the tickets but am a couple of flight hours too far away :/
  7. RFC 1855: Netiquette Guidelines:
  8. Correct, he got us both Barnett and Morrison!
  9. That's nothing compared to the 3$ Trillion Bush threw at Iraq purely based on related oil motives...
  10. Holy cow Spiller his score is a huge shocker... o.O
  11. It's blacked out.
  12. Checking Hairstone as swingtackle in order to enable cutting Ed Wang.
  13. *oopsy* my bad. Kinda makes you think though... we got more in return for Lynch then for Evans.... o.0 ? Armchair GM has him on his list? Main reason is because we have so many lbs plus a lot of draft spots invested.
  14. Hmmm if I look at that schedule from a Houston Texans perspective based on my knowledge of the 2009 seasons I'd be drooling over that schedule. Things change...
  15. Dont forget Huggins has proven himself as ST player as much if not more then Corto has, granted he was off the radar last year due to being IR-ed. Wilson can also play FS, imo better then at the SS posistion tbh. Aiken will be a victim of the numbers game, I think the coaches have stated that they like Rooseveldt for his ability to catch it all his experience from last year added on top of that wins him the position over Aiken (if there is a posistion to be won). Bottomline is the list is as good as I can argument it to be but it does contain gambles. I have Danny Aiken beating out Garrison Sanborn for the LS job which is more based on early camp info then actually judging his play myself (plus he is getting the same amount of reps as Sanborn does another indicator that the battle is still very much on). Not having a ST guy on there is another as was pointed out, isnt 9 lbs a bit much (then again with 3-4 and 4-3, rotation, grooming and veteran talent attracted I could not see it be done with less. OL depth is thin, with crazy competition going for LT/LG. Will we indeed just carry 2 TEs, last year we still took 3. I went 6 CBs but does the quality of our secondary really warrant that choice? Saturday will tell it all. I do firmly believe that I have nailed at least 50 out of the 53 though. Btw: Hairstone taking reps at LT tomorrow is an indication that Wang may indeed be on his way out; if Hairstone proves himself as viable swingtackle then Wang is out with Levitri emergency depth at LT if Hairstone is allready filling out RT due to Pears being out. I wonder if Levitri has lost his starting guard posistion to Rhinehart. A lot the coaches may be doing here atm might be related to being able to solve injuries from within the OL group itself instead having to call in a new PS kid from another team week in and out.
  16. Basicly any 2010/2011 draft pick round 6 or higher should count as a surprise if you claim to be building your team through the draft.
  17. It may well be that Gailey uses this option for fair assesment of his RB's during preseason.
  18. 1. We win at least one game versus the Pats* this year. 2. We'll make the playoffs. 3. Merriman stays healthy.
  19. Defense wins championships; it all comes down to Merriman staying healthy and our secondary to proof their reputation as solid combine that with Fitz showing increased ball security and we could get a lot better results then anyone expects and expected. It's a good season to bet on the Bills which could lead to high returns, however a bet is a gamble in the end. We really dont know where the Bills stand untill the season starts we might have the best defense in the league, yet they may as well be giving up penalties like crazy. Did we improve on Defense? No doubt about it. Did we improve on Offense, No, but the group has stayed the same almost completly and we'll be starting a QB that is prepared for the season for a change. The o-line shift-a-lot-let's-try-your-momma-at-lt-next has me worried though, not enough stability and way too much tinkering.
  20. At the cost of who? Batten? With respect to FA acquisitions and guys that were drafted by this regime I'd say the following 9 are pretty much locks to make the team... Andra Davis, Kelvin Sheppard, Chris White, Chris Kelsay, Nick Barnett, Arthur Moats, Danny Batten, Shawne Merriman, Kirk Morrison. Then I allready discarded Coleman who is ahead of both Batten and Eddins on the depthchart.

  22. Speaking for jw without his consent... He wrote an excellent article about the trade which was highly critical it contains everything he wants to say about it. Now if I only could find the article again... O.o With help of Google: Original trade piece: http://www.azcentral.com/sports/cardinals/articles/2011/08/12/20110812buffalo-bills-baltimore-ravens-trade.html Follow up piece / state of the Bills article: http://washingtonexaminer.com/sports/nfl/2011/08/buffalo-bills-still-work-progress#ixzz1VtBnt36q Quote: Nix has provided varying explanations on the Evans trade. Initially, he described the move as one that will allow Buffalo's younger receivers to develop. A few days later, Nix attempted to put the trade behind him by telling The Associated Press that there were a lot of things that went into the deal that he couldn't elaborate on publicly. Nix didn't handle trade talks, leaving that job with Jim Overdorf, the team's salary cap specialist and senior vice president of football administration. What's unmistakable is how Evans' departure shed light on much of what's gone wrong. Read more at the Washington Examiner: http://washingtonexaminer.com/sports/nfl/2011/08/buffalo-bills-still-work-progress#ixzz1WcehJNqV The article caused quite a stir and there should be a huge thread about it linginering about on the board. jw was asked/begged for comments/clarification but declined stating that all he had to say about it was in the article.
  23. While I would LOVE to add both Felton Huggins (who may be sneaked to IR again with his concussion) and Jon Corto I simply believe current ST rules makes it too costly to carry more then a LS, Kicker and Punter. Jon Corto is a converted LB (undersized) without experience at SS. Then keep in mind Nickel, Dime and Prevent packages and you'll need 5 CB's plus 1 on your roster. If you look what the coaching regime did last year then you'll see that they carried 6 CBS and 4 Safeties. Now if they trust Corto enough to be able to handle a SS spot in Dime and Quarter packages then I see them dropping Rogers to the PS and keeping Corto. So basicly it's a toss-up which depends on the coaching philosphy. Personally I'm a firm believer in using CBS to cover WRs and rather compromise by having a CB cover a TE over carrying an extra SS resulting in a SS covering a WR. Another solution could be to have WRs fill that role if such is needed. Rogers being a draft pick of this regime tipped the scales for me into selecting him over Corto. We traded Lynch for "only" a 5th... Wang has been injured all last year so this really is his rookie year, he's defenitly a project but I dont see them giving up on him yet. Especially if you take the build through the draft philosphy at heart. Then again your assesment that he has looked horrible is pretty much spot-on; he may indeed clear waivers and go to PS in which case I see his spot filled by Howard.
  24. Jeah I was struggling with that especially with just 2 TE's... I wanted to keep Jasper on the roster though. More I think about it more I think Jasper will be cut, he's just too raw atm. Waive Jasper and add Rooseveldt. Aiken still goes to PS. Updated quoted roster to reflect change.
