  1. Word is Ruvell Martin was resigned...
  2. Happen to have a link to that article Senator?
  3. Surprised to see so many votes for Fitz, he also had some rough drives. Jackson was very very good consistently and Bell and Chandlers were the big surprises imho. Personal vote went to Jackson, over 100 yards rushing against KC is just very very good.
  4. Don't really care but ok... In general I like reading his columns, specifically liked his start of the training camp one recently that springs to mind. I often find his columns an entertaining realistic read with a pessimistic tendency, something recent history certainly warrants. While your opinion may be (or seems to be) that everything he writes is garbage and not worth reading mine is the opposite, cant say I always agree but he certainly has a sharp eye on the Bills and I do like his sense of humor. HIs Twitter on gameday was entertaining as well http://twitter.com/#!/TBNSully to quote one "Could Fitz be on his way to 30 TD passes? No bet with Jeremy this year to run in my underwear!"
  5. Key is the word think. It's the paper version of imho (In My Humble Opinion). Wasnt he completly right when he said that's a lot of questions? Were the Bills not a bad team last year (imho a bad team that was showing flashes of promise)? Did we not lack overall talent and depth? Truth be told, as much as Jerry gets exposed to the Bills he should see and have seen the change/rebuild on defense that took place; question if that unit is ready now, question if it will be a top unit, see the positives and see the negatives and bring an opinion about that, as the draft focus next year will most likely focus on the offense 100% (with the exception of a CB maybe). If you are going to call him out for being a negative nancy than call him out for saying bad team trying to become average (instead of bad team trying to become good). Honestly, you have been a Bills fan for long enough, tell me, did you not even for one second think going into the second half receiving the ball with a 20 - 7 lead, we can still loose this / give this away?
  6. I think some people make the mistake of thinking a column (opinion piece) is the same as a journalistic article (verified sources, indisputable content). John Wawrow writes journalistic articles, Sullivan writes opinion pieces as such Sullivan qualifies as writer more so then journalist, however the term journalist (*cough* Fiox News *cough*) has been dilluted over the years to the point where both of them qualify as a journalist nowadays in the eye of the public at least. Bascily Sullivan could be a forum poster that is paid to post topics, with the difference being that he does so in the BN. Compared to some forum posters Sullivan is an eternal optimist.
  7. To me it looked like KC gameplanned away from Merriman, Cassel consistently rolled away from the side Merriman was on.
  8. He himself said that he was fine on his twitter after the game: shawnemerriman Shawne Merriman RT @ThtGuyMatKaczor: @shawnemerriman hey buddy you okay!? #weneedyou #billieve (all good already preparing for the Raiders)
  9. Now you are being the one who is cynical.
  10. Bottomline is that no one knew how good the D really was/is (and in all honesty we wont know untill after NE* and have a better grasp after Oakland) and everybody who followed camp and preseason can tell you that the o-line was a mess (well the tackle situation). This team had a lot to proof coming out today, they certainly showed a winning spirit (it was almost like KC and the Dick Jauron Bills had changed jerseys pregame). KC, coming out after a good season where they made the playoffs only had stuff to loose playing against the 3rd worst team in the NFL of last year. The staff still says we're in rebuild mode, the team looked that way too especially with trading away our top talent WR for peanuts, missing out on the big OT acquisistion and being unable able to retain one of our team captains at LB. The LB situation improved but that was about all there was to say for sure going in. Can you really blame the local press for being skeptical after all these years? Also we only played one game, ONE! Does our defense look like the real deal, sure does. Our offense looked decent enough and certainly managed to put up the numbers on the board but also failed to capatilize a couple of times giving KC room to get back in it which against a team like NE* could mean you'd be looking at deficit. There is enough to be positive about coming out of KC, going into KC there were a lot of question marks. Oakland will show us if it's more then a momentum thing. NE* will tell the story wether we are ahead of schedule/on the way back to the playoffs or not.
  11. Wow is their moderator 12 or something?
  12. 3 or 4 runs for a loss on 2nd down and only a few is NOT good; the TD run looked nice though. Problem with Spiller is, he seems to be so easy to stop... Once he breaks 3 he's dangerous. Sadly 3 out 4 times he goes for a loss.
  13. With all due respect KC was a playoff team last year!
  14. Lol, I was soooo thinking that too...
  15. Le't us hope it's due to the shortned preseason and he'll start to show some improvement towards the second half of the season.
  16. Spiller looking as bad as he did last year btw...
  17. Nelson was announced started next to Johnson for this game.
  18. Kelsay having a heck of a game though!
  19. Pears looked horrible on that sack, Bell looked good against him allnight. Hope Pears gets it together...
  20. He allready is mate...
  21. Hanggarther for sure... just look at the depthchart for the o-line... we're asking for trouble there.... LT Demetrius Bell LG Andy Levitre Chad Rinehart Colin Brown C Eric Wood RG Kraig Urbik RT Erik Pears Chris Hairston According to the depth chart; no backup at Center, Left Tackle or Right Guard... Wow... I assume the reality is, but still: LT Demetrius Bell Andy Levitre Chris Hairston LG Andy Levitre Chad Rinehart Colin Brown C Eric Wood Andy Levitre Kraig Urbik RG Kraig Urbik Chris Hairston Colin Brown RT Erik Pears Chris Hairston Should have been: LT Demetrius Bell Andy Levitre Chris Hairston LG Andy Levitre Chad Rinehart Geoff Hanggarther C Eric Wood Geoff Hanggarther Andy Levitre RG Kraig Urbik Geoff Hanggarther Chris Hairston RT Erik Pears Chris Hairston
  22. 82 has always been the number Martin likes. BTW nice WBXIII story here: http://findarticles.com/p/news-articles/columbian-vancouver-wash/mi_8100/is_20050612/kittner-leads-amsterdam-admirals-bowl/ai_n51309143/

What gives... Glad to see Brown, Aiken, Jasper, Dotson are on it. Nesbitt makes sense too. PS looks like a PS for a change, guess thats the good news; all are guys that are going through a posistion change or have shown great upside. /discuss Edit: Ah, thx mods, was surprised I didnt see a thread about it... didnt look well enough I guess.
  24. Guess im happy with Martin on the team, another former Amsterdam admiral onboard. Little known fact; Martin was key on that team in helping win their first ever World Bowl after a 10 year final drought. Coincidence? Think not! Super Bowl here we come. In reality, coaches must have tons of film on him as hè was Gibran his goto guy plus there is plenty of nfl film on him combine that with practise and viola.
  25. Wow 2 surprises there with Martin and Eddins making the team
