  1. Gailey said they gameplanned for this one; if the jags were playing their base packages like we were last week.... Well you know... preseason and all...
  2. I remember playing Fire that season and saw that Freddy was out for the game; immediate thought was sweet Thats a W in our bag! Freddy was hands down the most impact player on that years Fire team. Man do i miss going to Düsseldorf for the away games...
  3. 28$ million says it's more likely you'll be the one serving him... Just saying...
  4. So Sad how people always mistell this story, or leave out the essential bit. Warner was picked by al luginbill, coach of nfl europes Amsterdam Admirals. Rules required that a qb was under contract of a nfl team, so luginbill shopped around the league and found a partner in the Rams. No nfl europe would have meant no Warner.
  5. He has three years on PS (2007, 2008 and 2009 and 2010 on Waived/IR) has he not? The rules under the new cba are (clarified old rules): The Practice Squad shall consist of the following players, provided that they have not served more than two previous seasons on a Practice Squad: (i) players who do not have an Accrued Season of NFL experience; and (ii) free agent players who were on the Active List for fewer than nine regular season games during their only Ac-crued Season(s). An otherwise eligible player may be a Practice Squad player for a third season only if the Club by which he is employed that season has at least 53 players on its Active/Inactive List during the entire period of his employment. Hence he allready spend 3 years on PS and therefor isnt eligible anymore. Do you happen to know the thread this was discussed in (find didnt do much for me other then find this discussion lol).
  6. Quarterback (3): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Brad Smith Running Back (3): Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller, Johnny White Fullback (1): Corey McIntyre Wide Receiver (5): Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, Roscoe Parrish, David Nelson, Marcus Easley Tight End (2): Scott Chandler, Mike Caussin Offensive Line (9): Demetrius Bell, Erik Pears, Chris Hairston, Ed Wang, Eric Wood, Andy Levitre, Chad Rinehart, Kraig Urbik, Geoff Hangartner Defensive Line (8): Marcell Dareus, Alex Carrington, Kyle Williams, Torell Troup, Dwan Edwards, Spencer Johnson, Kellen Heard, Michael Jasper Linebacker (9): Andra Davis, Kelvin Sheppard, Chris White, Chris Kelsay, Nick Barnett, Arthur Moats, Danny Batten, Shawne Merriman, Kirk Morrison Cornerback (6): Leodis McKelvin, Drayton Florence, Terrence McGee, Aaron Williams, Reggie Corner, Justin Rogers Safety (4): Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Da'Norris Searcy, Bryan Scott Punter (1): Brian Moorman Kicker (1): Rian Lindell Long Snapper (1): Danny Aiken PS: Antiono Coleman Naaman Rooseveldt Jammie Kirlew Kamar Aiken Joshua Nesbitt Lionel Dotson 2x waiverwire pickups I put Jasper on the roster as the inactive project, Jon Corto and Felton Huggins have basicly been the heart of our special teams the last couple of years, one of them could still make the team with Jasper getting cut. Building through the draft also means that they arent going to cut their draft picks, Wang will get another year. Spots I had/have doubts over are Bryan Scott, Michael Jasper, Ed Wang; I think Danny Aiken has Sanborn beat. Rooseveldt will survive the waiverwire (due to his measureables) where as Easley as 107th overall in 2010 draft is too valueable/risky to cut. Justin Rogers makes the roster simply because 9 DBS isnt enough and he's a Nix/Gailey draft pick. 5 WR's since Brad Smith basicly is #6 WR, 2 TE's since we dont use 2 TE sets.
  7. Stop putting Huggins on the PS, he's not eligible anymore.
  8. Ruvell Martin!!!!!! 2005 Amsterdam Admirals #1 receiver and Gibran Hamdan his goto guy. Went on to be the Packers their 5th wr untill after about 4 seasons or so he got outplayed bij Jennings i believe. Was Waived or traded to the Rams, lost track of him then. Great playmaker who has too many drops and has a tendency not to move in on balls, good route runner, fast but above all tall. Owns or owned nfl europe record for most tds in a single season, was on the Admirals wall of fame.
  9. Which should have been our attitude with Lee.
  10. You are forgetting to add the money that will go to high draft wrs that will be spend on finding a legit replacement as well as the player that'll undoubtly be cut that was drafted with the 4 th pick we got for Lee ... Stupid, shortsighted and plain dumb dont even start to cover the extend of this !@#$up.
  11. Sadly you might be on to something here.
  12. Bears were a playoff team due to their defense and their defense alone. Their offense was ranked 30th.
  13. It simply wont happen due to his kc/gailey connection. Also thighpen is more similar to fitz.
  14. 1. It was glaringly obvious that Evans was missed; no deep threat at all resulting in lots of 5-15 yard range plays. Might change as he's only been gone for a day but ... bah. 2. Chandler had a big ugly drop on first team. 3. Defense looks for real, impressive even. 4. O-line depth is horrible. 5. Corner looked dubious on a couple of plays. 6. Second team defense has lots of issues defending against the run, first team looked solid. 7. Levi Brown is a completly different QB from Fitz and Thigpen but looks to have made some solid progress; his second to last drive was horrible though. 8. Huggins looks good at WR, again (as he did last preseason as well), Rooseveldt does indeed grab everything thrown at him, Davis is horrible, Easley didnt look much better then Davis. Wasnt Jones his night either. I very worried staff overvalued our WR depth, cant help to think that with Evans we might have been able to surprise this year. We really need one of the guys to step up and take over 2nd receiver role in the way Johnson did last year, Huggins aside (who we only been able to see versus thrid stringers in all his preseason games) I simply havent seen the guy on our team this game. 9. Spiller showed some improvement but seems to be too easy to stop at times. Then again White was getting hammered before he could get roling as well, might be more due to o-line issues then to the respective players. 10. Overall I'm worried about the offense, playcalling does yield results and seems to mask plenty of issues, the offense was moving up the field; but it certainly failed to give the big threat feeling that the offense showed glimpses of last year; time will tell. 11. No real gems to be spotted on 3rd and 4th teams on our side so far, maybe this due to absent otas and stuff, Jasper looked to be getting a good push and penetration to the point where they were double teaming him though. Bears center with number 67 was owning our 3rd team line btw; at one point he pancaked 2 (!) of our linemen.
  15. Word is that he was ripping it during camp as well. Truth be told the Patriots* organisation is most likely the best spot this guy could have landed from a issues point of view. In anyway so far the guy looks as legit as they come.
  16. Nobody is saying he's worth a first round pick, I could care less about what his so called trade value is. Point is why would we trade away our best receiver UNLESS we get compensated well enough. I could live with a 1st round and 7th round pick as compensation but not with ANYTHING less then that and even then I think it hurts us more then it will gain us. Why in the world would we want to trade away a guy we selected as 13th overall, that wants to be here, is true to his draft posistion, draws double coverage, is a teacher and leader to the other young unproven WRs and so on and so on... One of the few first rounds picks that actually worked out and stuck with us, let's get rid of him cheap as well as we dont need any first round talent for longer then 5 years.
  17. 1st and a 7th, oterwise F*** O**! Or as Sal said it well, the trade is not worth the value in return.
  18. I put on my Hamdan shirt and go and set behind my laptop... then again i live in the Netherlands. From my Admirals days I remember being anxious the day before the game and the entire day leading up to the game, couldnt get there early enough.... Ow boy do I miss that feeling.
  19. I honestly believe we might surprise this year and if we indeed we could go far.
  20. Lee is not going to get traded, if not for production he's the teacher within that group.
  21. Gamepass gives you that but then in HD.
  22. Question: why in the world would we even keep Maybin, or do we need to pay his contract regardless? (im in the I dont even see us getting a 7th for him)
  23. both yahoo and nfl are run by a company called neulion, i suffered through quite a bit of issues on their end causing me to miss 4 games in 2009 season (well the live coverage of it then), then they autorenewed my account for 2010 even though i never gave them permission to do so. I couldnt get a single dollar off for renewing this year.
  24. Also i remember Gailey saying something about actually gameplanning the pre-season games because they couldnt do anything else during the lockout (towards the end of it).
