Allen is every bit as good as Mahomes. What Allen does not have is a version of himself on defense like Mahomes has in Chris Jones who takes over and makes game changing plays late in the 4th quarter in big playoff games. Also, have you watched Mahomes most of the last year and a half? He has sucked in at least half of those games.

That's not Big Nickel... Big Nickel is when you have a larger safety type player essentially playing as a 3rd LB. We play nickel as our base defense because Taron Johnson is such a good run defender in the slot it allows them to typically match up well enough to play with lighter boxes so they can play 2 high safeties and disguise coverages.

Interesting video about this stuff... Essentially on D, they say that we usually play a "Nickel Over Front" aligned to the strong side almost exclusively and that allows teams to create scripted plays starting games that let them have early success. Then talk and show some adjustments they make within it that helps them improve significantly as the game goes on.

Saleh is hired by the Packers as a consultant
Big Turk replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Surprised he just didn't take the time off...he is still getting paid...unless there was no offset language in his contract, which means he is getting paid AND getting more money from the Packers. Otherwise he is essentially working for free since he will have his pay reduced from the Jets by whatever the Packers are paying him. I mean I get it...he has always been great at what he does and for the first time in his life he probably feels like a failure at his job. Wants to prove he isn't and get the bad taste out of his mouth ASAP. -
Exactly...this isn't really a thing. Except maybe on TV or in the movies. If the coach needs to get players pumped up to be professionals and do their job they probably got the wrong players and the players probably are in the wrong profession.

I am assuming the "3rd element" was not satisfied until he made a "football move" of some sort or got a 3rd foot down and that the ball started moving during the process of that happening. Only thing I can think of but I agree...it should be a TD once it crosses the front plane of the goalline with 2 feet down and possession.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

Everyone is playing dinged up this time of year to some degree or another That's the same as I said in the predict the score thread! 😎 -
Samuel is much more than a gadget guy...he is a viable #3 WR in the league, unsure why Brady hasn't gotten much out of him or used him in that role more. He got a lot out of him in Carolina, not so much yet here. Yeah, he wasn't...but when he is it will make things even easier for him. He is starting to figure things out and is starting to look like the player the Bills thought they were getting.
-
Cooper is going to open things up for Coleman so much...he now gets the #2 CB instead of the other teams #1 CB... This offense might be more dangerous than ever before with the mix of weapons they have and how good they are with the run game.

Weekly football pick em sheet, against spread ???
Big Turk replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
Falcons looked good? They got blown out at home by the Seahawks. You sure you aren't thinking of someone else? Honestly these are all tough because you are playing with a lot of unknown variables thrown into the mix for each game. Mayfield down his top 2 WR's and we have no idea how that will neuter the offense or when. Can they make something work for a game or two before DC's catch up with what they are doing? No idea. Tua coming off a long absence and no guarantee he stays healthy for any length of time. Essentially he is series to series. Rattler has mostly looked meh. Had a good game or two but he looked terrible against Denver and the Chargers D is better than theirs, at least in terms of not allowing points. Chargers can't score tho, but the Saints defense is decimated by injuries so is this the game they put up some points? I would honestly stay away from all of them. Sometimes the biggest win you'll have is knowing when to stay out of games, similar to when daytrading and staying out of the market. -

It's simple...guys get more comfortable in their roles and playing together with each other. Happens all the time over the course of the season with the Bills and throughout the league. There are a lot of new faces on D all playing together for the first time. Gonna take time to gel...being out of position by a yard or two or slow to react to something by a half second can make the difference between plays being made and not being made. -

They kicked the Pats ass with Brissett...Maye might cause them some more issues although he will likely not win the game for them either. -
Yes...Williams has been good but he still has some issues. Milano if he comes back and plays anything close to what he was is still well ahead of Williams in terms of ability, especially in coverage.

So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
Big Turk replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you are trying too hard. Dallas didn't want to pay him top dollar, so they traded him to the Browns. Browns have a trash QB situation...funnily enough, Cooper exploded after Watson got hurt last year and Flacco started throwing him the ball all over the place. Browns know they are going nowhere this year so they wanted to recoup some assets. -
Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Big Turk replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
This does not seem to be anything other than some weird personal vendetta you have against Reid because I can't think of anyone who has spoken badly about him and if there are it hasn't been many...most former players love the guy and have effusively praised him as have most other coaches that worked with him. -
Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Big Turk replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs drafted Skyy Moore in the 2nd, Mecole Hardman and Xavier Worthy in the 1st...seems like they aren't very good at selecting WR's. Which is head scratching considering Reid is an offensive mastermind who you would think should know as well as anyone in the league who would fit well into his system. Rashee Rice in the 2nd and Tyreek Hill in the 5th have been by far their best WR selections under Reid. Others: Tremon Smith 2018 6th Rd - 0 receptions Jehu Chesson 2017 4th Rd - 3 receptions, 25 yards Demarcus Robinson 2016 4th Rd - 232 receptions, 2706 yards, 21 TDs in 136 games Chris Conley 2015 3rd Rd - 221 receptions, 2926 yards, 15 TDs in 123 games -

"New Yorkers who are 21 years or older have the legal right to possess, use, and purchase marijuana. Specifically, individuals can carry up to three ounces of cannabis or 24 grams of concentrated cannabis for personal use. There's no need for a medical card to acquire these amounts for recreational use." -
I think you mean you'd take Cooper?

Is there anywhere that doesn't have legal cannabis these days? In Buffalo it's hard to drive more than 5 minutes without seeing a place selling it. Have literally 4 places within a 5 minute drive of my house now opened up.
