Hard to believe this is the same guy drafted behind EJ Manuel in the 2013 draft class that was so bad on the Jets and has now parlayed it into another $43 million for 2 years. Kudos to him tho...he looked in the mirror, realized he wasn't the person or player he wanted to be and decided to work hard to make a change and continue working hard even when it seemed like it wasn't paying off for him the first 4 years or so. He got his chance in Seattle and he has played pretty well since then. Not elite, but pretty good. Always like to see success stories like this...he earned it thru his actions when it was so easy to go the Manziel way.

Douglas was a liability last year, IMO.

Hard to score? What games were you watching if you thought that? There were a few times they needed to get revved up, but basically once they got in rhythm they scored just about every possession until the end of the game afterwards.

Beane seems to be able to get these value extensions done and I honestly have no idea how he does it so often

He was somewhat of a raw prospect who only played a few years of football and was a former basketball player. IMHO, his ceiling is far higher than where he is now.

Ty Johnson is a straight baller...every time he touches the ball something good happens. And he has the best sliding catch game of any PLAYER in the NFL period which is pretty damn impressive for a running back, not even a receiver. Some of those catches he has made are almost not believable.

No, those contracts were nowhere near the level of the Browns who basically destroyed the market twice. Both the Bills and Eagles were within range of what would be considered to be fair based on the player and the previous contract high at their position. Browns literally took the market and obliterated it.

Browns screwing the league over AGAIN by setting a ridiculously high market for a player. First they did it with Watson, then they did it again with Garrett. Owners probably would like to kick them out of the league again if they weren't such an easy W on their schedule.

Cook is 3rd in the NFL in yards per carry since he entered the NFL(min 300 carries) and 2nd in yards per reception(min 40 catches) for all RBs. Those are elite per touch numbers and I think justifiable for getting paid. What difference does it make if a guy has to have 80 more carries and 30 more receptions to get the same numbers? Effectively you are putting more tread on the tires and having more opportunities for injuries for worse production.
