What Does "Due Process" Mean?

Nope, it's still valid in rural America to a large degree. Only kidding yourself if you think it's not. -

I grew up in a nearly All-Black neighborhood on the East Side of Buffalo in the Kensington-Bailey area not far from the Kenfield and Langfield projects and Ken High. I was one of 3 white kids in the neighborhood. I'm not the one, B, I promise you that. I'd probably take a good long look in the mirror. I probably had more minorities living on my street than you have interacted with in your lifetime. -

There is no argument. It's pretty crystal clear. the Supreme Court has ruled repeatedly it doesn't matter if they are from El Salvador, Mexico, East Jahunga, The Moon, Mars or Venus. Once they are in the US, lawfully or not, they are considered a "person" under the Constitution and are afforded the same Due Process that anyone else, including American Citizens, have. You may not like or it agree with it, but that's what the Constitution says and how the Supreme Court has interpreted it---more than once. -

When the rest of the world calls us "Dumb Americans", it's legitimate and for a reason. Because it's mainly true. Won't love it when food, restaurant and hotel prices go thru the roof tho. And if you think they have increased "a lot"...just wait, you haven't seen anything yet. -

The rich Republicans support it because it will allow them to take or buy up distressed assets from the middle class for pennies on the dollar enriching themselves further while making the rest of the country poorer. And when you are poorer and figuring out how to live day to day, you don't have the energy to fight against oppressors...at least not for a long time. -

Yes, but when it starts being THEIR rights that are infringed on, let's see how they cry. This is the reason why you never allow this stuff to happen because it becomes a slippery slope...at first it's illegal immigrants, then it's political opponents, then it's anyone who doesn't kiss the POTUS's ass and say he is the best thing since sliced bread. Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. Once you are allowed to take away due process for ANYONE, it isn't a big reach to take away due process for EVERYONE. -
What Does "Due Process" Mean?

"Due process" is a constitutional guarantee that protects individuals from arbitrary or unfair treatment by the government. It appears in both the Fifth Amendment (applying to the federal government) and the Fourteenth Amendment (applying to state governments), and it essentially ensures that the government must follow fair procedures before depriving a person of life, liberty, or property. There are two types of due process: Procedural due process – requires fair and proper legal procedures (e.g., notice and a hearing) before the government can take away someone's rights. Substantive due process – protects certain fundamental rights from government interference, even if procedures are followed. Are illegal immigrants guaranteed due process? Yes, illegal (or undocumented) immigrants are guaranteed due process under the U.S. Constitution. This has been upheld in multiple Supreme Court cases. One key ruling is Zadvydas v. Davis (2001), where the Court stated that "once an alien enters the country, the legal circumstance changes, and they are entitled to due process protections, even if their presence is unlawful." Another important case is Plyler v. Doe (1982), where the Court struck down a Texas law that denied public education funding for children of undocumented immigrants. The Court reaffirmed that the protections of the Fourteenth Amendment apply to all “persons” — not just citizens or lawful residents. So, even if someone has "no basis to be here," once they are physically present in the U.S., they are still considered a “person” under the Constitution, and they must be treated fairly under the law — which includes due process protections in immigration proceedings, such as hearings before a judge and the right to appeal. -
You are being distracted by them trying to make this is a political "war". But this is done for misdirection purposes, just like Travolta's character in Swordfish talks about. There is no political war. This is a financial war. Namely, the rich doing what they need to with the economy so that distressed middle class assets will be snapped up for pennies on the dollar by them when it is all said and done. Americans are too busy arguing and fighting among themselves like children on the playground over this dumb ass bullsh** while they are fleecing us all while nobody is looking. And if you don't know what side you are on in this financial war, rest assured it will be the losing one. The people who are going to win have known about this for many months if not years now. I worked for multiple large global banks, I have many contacts still there. You have been warned. Hopefully you prepare yourself properly for it.

We don't trade up to #1 and take Vontae Mack... No matter what.

With Tua you are getting a guy who just isn't good enough unless he has elite talent all over the offense to prop him up. He will never raise anyone else's game he requires them to raise his. How this is even debatable at this point is beyond me based on his performances in games that actually matter against good teams. Tua's ceiling at this point is wildcard losing QB. I will take Maye all day over Tua because with Tua you are NEVER winning the division while Allen is in it. Maye might have a chance one day. I would rather take a gamble on his potential than to already know I have a guy that isn't good enough other than to keep me in mediocrity over the next decade. -
The literal definition of a landslide from the Oxford Dictionary: an overwhelming majority of votes for one party in an election. "winning the election by a landslide" Claiming something is true when it clearly isn't at best is disingenuous, at worst is delusional. Change your name to Alice and move to Wonderland. Oh, I understand it perfectly fine. It's the same understanding of it that any dictionary provides, which is: an overwhelming majority of votes for one party in an election. "winning the election by a landslide" What would you call someone who was told by their leader to try and tell you it's bright and sunny outside when it's pouring rain? Probably a cult because clearly it's apparent to anyone paying attention to reality what the truth is/was. So to be in denial of reality while supporting someone else's "alternative facts" clearly screams cult.

Actually I could just go back to 2020 when Joe Biden won by a "Triple landslide" based on your logic since it was 4.5% of the popular vote. Or to 2012 when Obama won by 3.9% or to 2008 when he won by 7.5%. Any of them are far more of a "landslide" than this was and all of them happening within the last 17 years. Go re-learn history. And no, I am not claiming that any of those were landslides...just by your definition, which is baseless and is not supported by any definition of the word, they were much more of one than this was.

100%. Maye is far more talented than Tua. Tua needs to be propped up by everyone else and at the end of the day doesn't perform well against good teams due to his limitations in physical attributes. Essentially when teams tell Tua "Ok, we are going to take everything else away, you beat us." he can't. Maye has no such limitations and he will easily be better than Tua within the next 2 years. -
Don't quite understand the nonsense about this being a "landslide" when in fact, it was one of the closer races in the last 30 years. Trying to convince yourself of something even tho facts don't support it makes it seem more like a cult than anything else where anyone who doesn't show overwhelming support is some "insert random idiotic name du jour". A landslide is what happened when Reagan defeated Mondale where he won the popular vote by over 18% and the Electoral Collage by over 500 votes. Winning by 1.5% of the popular vote - note even a majority mind you, and 86 electoral votes is hardly anything "landslide" worthy except in delusional people's heads that refuse to live in reality.

Different Era. Trying to compare stats from the current era to that era is nonsensical. Aikman and Young are in the HOF as well with fewer yards than Kelly

Probably so, they have the best QB out of the other teams and Vrabel is a good coach, but their ceiling is 8 wins this year.
