  1. That's true. He had to correct himself that many times after he said it was a first down. Was happening all night long.
  2. He has people in his ear...or don't you know how broadcasts work? Also after having done it tens, if not hundreds of thousands of times throughout his career calling games, pretty sure he should be mostly accurate with those...at least in every other game I have heard him or any other announcer call they have been. Not this game.
  3. This is exactly what I was saying...it wasn't just on that one 3rd or 4th down play, it was throughout the night. Nantz was incredulous by the 3rd quarter as to why the refs kept marking the Bills short when he would call first down. Happened at least 7 or 8 times. Never seen that happen as frequently as that game...it was ridiculous.
  4. When his elbow lands, the entire ball is across the line, watch the slow replay that's posted. The better question might be why were the Bills constantly being marked short by a foot or two of first downs all night when it appeared they got enough for the first down? When Nantz starts complaining about the spots constantly being moved back after he says it's a first down something seems a little strange...been watching football 40+ years and can't say I've ever seen that happen THAT many times in a game to the same team.
  5. The thing that stands out to me is that Reid looks like a "pancake eating muthaf***a"
  6. And another one chimes in that the spot was BS. Dean Blandino, rules analyst for Fox says he believes Allen has the first down and said the judge who had a clearer picture of the ball shouldn't have ceded his spot to the guy who has Allen's back in view and not the ball. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/dean-blandino-believes-josh-allen-152414088.html
  7. All 3 games in the playoffs the other team scored on their first drive.
  8. Well when both announcers and the rules analyst who happens to be a multi Super Bowl reffing former NFL referee and was head of officials for quite a while says it was BS, it's probably BS.
  9. Expecting an extension of Dawkins/Allen to free up cap space and release of Miller...can get to a point we have over 30 mil in cap space with just those moves...I' sure Beane has more up his sleeve tho.
  10. It wasn't only on those 2 plays, it was a consistent issue where even Nantz was incredulous eventually that he kept saying the Bills pick up a first down and then had to correct himself and say "the officials are marking it short!". Happened at least 7 or 8 times. Never seen it before. A few times? Sure. Almost every time it happened? Never.
  11. This seems almost too far fetched to believe... They said the reason there wasn't one like there is almost after every game is that none of the reporters covering the game asked for there to be one. What?? You mean NOBODY wanted to figure out what happened with that 4th down spot or even worse why the Bills kept being marked a foot or two short when it seemed like a clear first down in every other game I've watched this year, including the play before the 4th down play to Kincaid? Something doesn't smell right. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/inside-the-pool-report-process-which-wasnt-activated-as-to-the-key-play-in-bills-chiefs
  12. They were complaining about spots a lot of the game actually...there were at least 7 or 8 times where Nantz said the Bills picked up a first down and then almost in shock had to correct himself and say "the official is now marking him short!". Cannot ever remember a game where the ball consistently was being marked short of first downs for the Bills almost every time. Watched Bills games for 40 years and haven't ever seen anything like that and definitely never heard the announcers incredulous as to it continuing to happen over and over.
  13. I mean who really has? They will likely win 3 straight Super Bowls and 4 of the last 5.
  14. If the bar is being set at "he has to go because he can't beat Reid in the playoffs", well I mean, nobody beats Reid in the playoffs. So literally every coach in the NFL should get fired then. He has beaten Mahomes/Reid more than any other coach. We need to just do it in the postseason. Will we, who knows? Firing someone who actually does beat him when nobody else in the league does seems a little short sighted.
  15. A little better spot fdom the refs who always seemingly give every possible advantage to KC in games would be helpful. Don't think I have ever seen announcers wondering how the ball is marked short of a first down *again* as Nantz and Romo were last night. It happened like 7 or 8 times throughout the game...appeared to be an obvious first down, then the official spots the ball and somehow it's a foot or two short. Nantz was calling it into question and then must have been told by the network to relax because he stopped doing it. Small things that give the Chiefs small advantages done over and over again eventually lead to just enough for them to win in these games. Last year, that was on us and the D being beat to hell. This year...still on us but c'mon...never seen the ball marked short so many times in a single game on what appeared to be obvious first downs. Would it have made a difference? Who knows...all I know is that it definitely didn't help.
  16. You mean other than when they made plays?
  17. Brady is 35. I would be willing to bet that Brady is better than Reid was, by Reid's own admission, when he was 35. I have no idea how some of you operate but in the real world, like at your job, you understand that when someone is new in position, there will be some growing pains at first until he gains experience. There is no place where you succeed without failing first. Failure is your best teacher if it's used properly. Firing someone who leads the team to franchise records for touchdowns and points is the height of idiocy and the definition of knee jerk reaction. Sorry, not sorry.
  18. You don't need to be a coach to not massively overreact to the last game. My God man, step back from the ledge. Embarrassing. Go back to playing Franchise mode in Madden
  19. Thank God you aren't GM. Knee jerk reactions don't do any good. Nobody in their right mind is firing Brady after what he did after his first full year with this offense.
