Why? Haven't we seen the D give up opening drive TDs very often then give up very little the rest of the game? Saints will struggle to get past 20, IMO

Bills could score every possession it looks like. Doubt Saints come anywhere close to that.

But they also have counters off them like that Kincaid TD against Miami last week where they faked the bubble screen to Shakir, got the D to bite and then threw a TD because they vacated the area to come play the fake screen

Don't be bummed. The man has to earn his spot. This isn't one of these poverty teams in the NFL that hands out welfare jerseys on game day to "see what a player has" that hasn't actually earned it.

The run D has been fine in the other 2 games if not actually pretty good. The big concern isn't the run D, it's the run D against certain opponents. Also, it's mostly irrelevant because there are only a few teams that pose enough of a run threat to be able to beat the Bills running the ball...most teams the Bills will happily let run the ball because they simply won't be able to score enough points that way to win.

He has played pretty well the last 2 weeks...I think you may be a little biased based on what happened the first week. Clearly there was a reason he didn't play much last year after coming back from injury. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what we feel he has "earned" or hasn't "earned". None of us has observed every practice, been at the facility to see him in meetings, in the weight room, studying film, etc... Considering the secondary, and especially safety, is a key position on D and that McD will not put players in he doesn't feel like he can trust, it would lead me to believe that he has seen enough of what he needs to see that they are going to let him learn on the job for a bit because he has demonstrated that he can be trusted enough in their eyes.

Good teams force players to earn their spot no matter where they were drafted. Bad teams give players spots based on where they were drafted rather than how they are performing.

It's actually designed to do the opposite. Make the kickoff relevant again instead of an extended bathroom break or time to be scrolling thru your phone while the kickoff goes out of the endzone.

Apparently we have seen the first way teams are now trying to get a real advantage by kicking the ball into the landing zone... Rams kicker has perfected what is similar to a knuckleball in baseball, where it has no spin and dips and swerves wildly, except with a football and it's oblong shape, the movement is more pronounced. This "knucklekick", effectively is designed to either cause the ball to dip and hit the ground in the landing zone before getting to a returner and then bounce strangely which forces a scramble to try and pick up the ball before actually returning it, or causes the returners to bobble and drop the ball frequently when it takes last second dips on them... Something to really look for around the league now as the Rams seem to be leading the charge with this and it's been highly effective...they have 6 kickoffs already where they have tackled the returner inside the 20 as a direct result of this tactic.

I've got it...how about the Bills simple refuse to snap the ball on offense and see if they can set an NFL record for the longest game ever today? We can see what the ref does when he has to keep marking the ball half the distance to the goal when it gets inside their own 1 yard line. Will he break out the magic index card to measure? Why? I don't know, and I don't give a darn! Trying to logic with OP leaves you like this apparently...

The Bills are equally happy to kick a team's ass whatever way they are asking them to do it. And equally adept at it.

He was injured most of training camp and just came back so that probably has something to do with him coming along slowly.
