Williams looked terrible in pre-season as a Rookie, and not much better when the regular season started...He did however come on late last season and played really well...In fact, it could be argued that Williams was The Bills best Defender at the end of the 2011 season...He may just be a guy who needs to get warmed up a bit...I'm going to hold off on any type of judgement at least until I see him in a few regular season games...He's got a ton of potential...

Football Simulation - Bills over Jets WK 1
KOKBILLS replied to Rockinon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm 50% at best...The Jets have handled The Bills physically for a couple years now...If The Bills can't win the trench-battle, they lose this Game...Plus it's a Road Game...I do think The Bills are the better Team...But week #1 is a funny week...Anything can happen... -

Seriously? You do know who is throwing the Ball to those Pats receivers do you not? What do you think David Nelson's stats would be if Brady was on the other end? -

I agree we need to be a more physical running Team...And no question the 5 receiver sets may be used a bit too often by Chan...Still...It does not change that, for the most part, this has become a passing league...You have to have balance of short, intermediate, and long pass plays with screens and everything else mixed in...And Chan is now charged with finding that balance...No one said it would be easy right? -

Excellent Post! You hit the nail right on the head concerning Fitz... And agreed...If The Bills want a Franchise-type QB they are going to have to be aggressive more than likely...And that does not come without risk...But it would seem 2013 would be the time for it...The core of the Defense is in place for years to come, And the Offensive Line is certainly not terrible...Sure The Bills could use another decent WR...But an accurate,Franchise-type QB will make any WR look better...Franchise QB's don't tend to fall into The Bills lap unlike The Steelers, Colts, Panthers, and Packers of the world...So Buddy will have to be prepared to make a big move...We'll see I guess... -
Did the Bills really reach for T.J. Graham?

I'm sure you're not suggesting that NC St was better off without Wilson...Are you? Graham got better, but I'm pretty sure having Wilson at QB would have helped him even more... -

It's interesting...Not that I disagree with any of your individual points...But you left off the most obvious...Fitz has been an average, to slightly below average QB with an average, to below average arm since he's been in the NFL...He has improved under Gailey no question...But overall the improvement has been streaky at best...Fitz brings problems with him that Teams with elite QB's simply do not have to deal with... The #1 problem the Bills have on Offense is Fitz...Not that they can't win when Fitz is at his best...They can...But when he plays to his average it's rarely good enough...And that just is what it is... -

We'll see...Time will tell...But IF Wilson turns into a Top 10 QB, and Fitz continues to be...well...Fitz...There is no question The Bills are going to take some lumps for Drafting Graham ahead of Wilson...Heck they had extra Picks...They could have made something happen and come away with both Wilson and Graham...We're only talking about moving up from the 4th to the 3rd...It's not that hard, and it does not cost a ton... -

Guys who looked okay last night and who didn't
KOKBILLS replied to bowery4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well...They're trying to get him experience at the Mike no question...He really lacks overall play time, and it's a new Defense to boot...But that Kid...I don't know...Nothing he does tells me he's ready for what is to come...A decent MLB should have a Pro-Bowl head start behind this line, and Shep gets blocked, or takes himself out of too many plays...It's a concern...No question about it...He should be dominating in Run Defense minimum...And it is not happening...Not yet at least...But it is only pre-season week #2...We'll see... -
Just listened to SiriusXM NFL guys at Dolphins camp...

And The Bills are basically the same Team they were in 2011...The Fish still have Brandon Marshall...So it's definitely relevant what happened twice last year to an injury riddled Bills Team... The only thing those two Games will do is motivate The Bills to concentrate and get some much deserved pay-back in 2012...Unless of course we suffer similar injuries again...I'm sure The Fish will have a chance if Levitre is back at Center again... -

So what's Brady going to do in Buffalo against the Bills Defense THIS year? And how would The Bills have held up with the 2012 Defense and a 21 point lead in New England?...The Patsies are not invincible...The SB proved that...And all good things must come to an end in time...Not saying necessarily that this will be the year...Just saying...

KOKBILLS replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly... Arizona can avoid a black-out by selling 10,000 less seats than The Bills, even though they are based in Phoenix which has a City Pop of close to 1.5 million...Just make it the same for every Market...That would be a BIG step in the right direction IMHO... -
Seriously Eball, lighten up Bro...Life's too short...And this thing is funny...

any news on torell troup?
KOKBILLS replied to MARCELL DAREUS POWER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear ya Bro... And realistically, if we're going to look at the Troup Pick vs another player, should we not be looking at Terrence Cody? The Bills were going to take a 3-4 NT...They reached a bit for Troup, and Cody has been rock-solid for the Ravens... Anyway...Not sure if you saw this article in late May...Troup's Redemption... -

I'm afraid to get too excited...But a bit of the old Merriman and this D will be pure nasty on obvious Passing situations...They better get ready for a TON of draw plays this year...

No one would question that about Gilmore IN COLLEGE...But this is not College...And not everyone in the NFL who played option QB along the way is going to be able to do it well in the NFL...Add to that fact Gilmore is a CB...He is a player who was Drafted 10th overall to play Defense at an area of immediate need in Buffalo... Also add to it that The Bills, unlike other NFL Teams, have multiple options at QB if they wish to run the wildcat...Thy may very well have one of the best wildcat QB's in the NFL in Brad Smith...And Vince Young is an incredibly gifted running QB...There is simply no need to consider muddying up the Kid's Rookie Season by adding him into a mix that is already pretty crowed, while taking away from his ability to concentrate on one of the toughest positions to master in the NFL... It just makes no sense...No offense...But it makes no football or common sense...
