  1. It's guy...And I'm not sure what your problem is...But you're being a douchebag...So I'm done with you...
  2. Sorry...I don't say this much here...But you're clueless if you can't recognize how well Carrington played in 2012...He's a 3-4 DE...It's not a stat driven position...And if you're just looking at stats then we're done here because you're obviously not seeing what is going on...
  3. Carrington played a ton in 2011 and 2012...Before his injury he had played in 44 straight games as far as I can tell...I know he played all 16 games in the Defensive-Line rotation in 2012...He was starting in 2013 before he got hurt...There is plenty of sample for Carrington...And most of it is good...He was arguably our best D-lineman in 2012...
  4. No doubt about it...Three QB's in the top 8 is the best case scenario for the Bills in this Draft...
  5. I That's pretty close to the numbers overthecap.com has as well... Vikings are about $41 mil under too... Of course the Bills would have been in really good shape were it not for the $11 million in dead money from the Fitz and Anderson deals...That same page says only three teams have more dead money ($12.07 mil) than the Bills (Panthers, Chargers, and Saints...) and the Cowboys are real close ($12.034 mil)...
  6. I don't know...Maybe I just tend to look on the bright side of life?... Or I'm painstakingly naive... One or the other...
  7. See...Now I really want him to come back...This I've got to see!!!
  8. I think vast majority of Scouts rate Manziel higher than Bortles...And I mean the vast, vast majority...The thing that will push JF down is the fact that you have to have a plan for him and he's not going to fit every Offense whereas Bortles is more of the prototype...But I'm getting the vibe from the people I follow closely, and I think K-9 will back me up on this, that Bortles is getting beat up a bit in the evaluation process, and most people feel he would have been better served by staying in school...On the other hand most feel JF is ready for the NFL, but he's such a unique totally different QB it scares some off him a bit... Here's a little quote from 30 year NFL Scout Greg Gabriel on Johnny Football..."Overall, Manziel is unique. He is not for everyone. The team that drafts him has to have a plan and play to his strengths. He is not nor will he ever be a conventional pro style drop back passer. While Manziel lacks ideal NFL quarterback size, there are top quarterbacks in the league that also possess less than ideal size. Drew Brees is list as being 6’0, but he isn't. Russell Wilson is under 5’11. If I had to compare Manziel to another NFL quarterback I would say he is part Wilson, part Brees and part Brett Favre. It obviously remains to be seen if he will have the success of those players."
  9. I guess the big question is...If both are available...Will the Bills go Evans or Ebron?...I know that fans will prefer Evans...Heck I think I prefer Evans...But I'm 100% happy with either to be honest...100%... Bullough is REAL intriguing...I don't think there's any way he slides to the 7th like some have projected...But if the Bills truly want to get a "downhill thumper" I think he fits that roll rather nicely...And even if you take him in the 5th he'll be dirt cheap...Before his suspension you would be hard pressed to find a kid with a better resume as a team leader than Bullough...I think the kid is a bit lost since the suspension and has not handled the situation well at all...He needs a team to take a chance on him and show him some love...
  10. Well...Believe me I understand about a lot of these internet "scouts..." But Jeremiah at least has a resume that can be tracked and authenticated...
  11. Daniel Jeremiah, who scouted for 3 different NFL teams, has Bridgewater 9th, Manziel 10th, and Bortles 18th... We all know QB's get overdrafted...So...I guess we'll see...Depends on desperation, need, etc...
  12. I guess it all comes down to how they value Bridgewater, Bortles, and Manziel...This was the QB class everyone was waiting for last year...All 3 QB's are graded pretty high...Personally I like Bridgewater a lot...Bortles has been called a poor man's Andrew Luck by some...It just depends... I hear what you're saying though...Personally I would take Robinson over Clowney...I do think Robinson has Orlando Pace capabilities...Clowney scares me...I follow Gamecocks football pretty closely after living in Charlotte NC for 20 years...The kid is an absolute athletic freak...But he can completely disappear at times too... But anyway...IMHO if you don't have a QB that once-in-a-generation player is not going to get you too far...At least not far enough...
  13. It will be for certain... This draft is so deep with talent in the top 10 outside of QB it is going to test the resolve of a few GM's...No question about it...But I keep going back to the fact that if you don't have a QB, it's any...and I mean any NFL teams first priority... Houston is the perfect example...They have their pick of the litter...They already have a decent Defense that could return to dominance with a little tweaking...As it was they were the 7th Defense overall, and the 3rd ranked Defense vs the pass last year...But obviously their Offense was a mixed bag, and their QB cost them more than one game...The Texans roster has some serious talent, especially on Defense, and there is no way they expect to be picking this high again any time soon...You have the rarest of rare situations...You have the ability to Draft 1st and take any QB you want, when QB is your #1 need, and arguably there are three QB's to choose from that could be taken at #1 overall...So you want to Draft Clowney? Why? You pick again at #33...There will be plenty of D-Line talent available at #33 if you want one...There will not be a QB there like Bridgewater or Bortles or Manziel...I don't know...Maybe it's because I'm not 100% sold on Clowney's desire...I think it's nuts for Houston to consider Clowney over one of the QB's... I just think in this league when you have an opportunity like this you have to take the QB...If the Bills were in a similar situation and they took Clowney over one of the QB's there would be an absolute meltdown in Buffalo...And it's not like they don't pay attention to their NFL football in Houston... But who knows...We'll see I guess...
  14. Well... No offense but I think you're WAY over-thinking this if you really believe the bolded comment... By the time the Combine was over last year there was REAL, and I mean real widespread doubt that any QB was worthy of a 1st round grade...This year there are 3 prospects that almost universally have Top 15 grades...And a couple others that are considered borderline 1st-2nd rounders (which normally means they will squeeze their way into the bottom of the 1st)...And this is a FAR deeper Draft than last year...Add to that you have 5 QB needy teams in the Top 8 and I think the chances all 3 go in that top 8 are pretty good...Though I admit Manziel could slide out because he's not going to be for everybody...
  15. I just can't imagine Jacksonville passing on all 3 QB's when they can have their pick...I think that scenario is really unlikely...
  16. That's not the point I was trying to make...The point really had nothing to do with how the QB's will perform in their first year...The question was simple...If we had the QB depth charts of Houston, Jacksonville, Oakland, Minnesota, or Cleveland and we could Draft Bortles, Bridgewater, or Manziel...What do you think we would expect the Bills to do?
  17. Well...I should hope not!
  18. I'm becoming more and more convinced by the day that it will be Evans or Ebron at #9...
  19. I fully understand the need for ILB...I would LOVE to see the Bills land Jon Beason who I've always liked a lot (I lived in Charlotte for 20 yrs)...But I understand he's probably going to be a bit too expensive... The thing is...I don't believe it's as much about the need at ILB as it is about the fact (at least I believe it's a fact) that the Bills first priority is to get EJ as much help on Offense as they possibly can...I believe, and more importantly I believe Marrone and Whaley believe, that Offensive help can be in the form of a TE, a WR, or an O-lineman...And lastly I think at those 3 positions Robinson, Watkins, Matthews, Lewan, Evans, and Ebron will all be rated ahead of Mosely...I think the chances of all of those prospects being gone by #9 are zero-point-zero-zero... So anyway...No question ILB is a need whether they address it in Free Agency or not...But I simply believe that the Bills brass is determined to strengthen the Offense at #9...And knowing this is a Draft that will have some really high rated Offensive talent available at #9 is just icing on the cake for them...
  20. Well...4th Rd...But point taken...
  21. That may or may not be true (honestly I don't think it is)...But look at it another way... You've got Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Oakland, and Minnesota...Of those 5 teams there was a total of 7 QB's that had 225 attempts in 2013 (Cassel, Ponder, Campbell, Henne, Schaub, Weeden, and Pryor)...The highest QB rating among those 7 QB's was Cassel, a soon to be 32 yr old-now-journeyman QB, at 81.6...2013 3rd Round pick Mike Glennon outperformed all of those QB's...This is a poor UFA crop of QB's this off season, and you have 3 signal callers who are going to be rated in the Top 10 of this Draft...How do you pass on one of these kids and sell that to your fan-base? Think of it this way...If the Bills were one of those 5 teams...And they passed on a QB in the top 8...How would this fan-base react?
  22. I wish them the best of luck with that plan... Watkins and Gordon would be a great duo for sure...But sticking with Hoyer reminds me a little of the Bills going with Fitz...While Hoyer has certainly shown he can get the job done at times...I'm full of doubt whether or not he is going to be a long term answer...If they only pass on Johnny Football I get it...Some teams are simply not going to be high on Manziel...But if they passed on Bortles or Bridgewater for Hoyer...Well...That would be a hell of a gamble...
  23. Oh I know Astro...And I appreciate your contributions here Bro...I really do... But I've got my own formula...And mine says the Bills won't go ILB at #9...
  24. I like Ebron and would have no problem with him at #9... But no matter how many WR's we've Drafted we don't have anyone on the roster that is remotely like Evans...And Evans is the highest rated WR most likely to be available at #9 overall (I'm assuming Watkins is gone)...Furthermore WR's like Evans that play well in the NFL almost never become available unless they bring a ton of baggage with them...So it's kind of a rare opportunity to grab a kid that is really unique athletically...The same could be said about Ebron at TE as well of course...So I really have no problem with either of them in the 1st...
  25. I think Bridgewater and Bortles are mortal locks for the top 10... I think Manziel is close to a lock, but I could see him slide a bit depending on how things go in the top 7... I still feel Bortles goes #1, Bridgewater #3, and Manziel #4...I just can't possibly see those Franchises passing on the opportunity to take a QB...Especially in this Draft when your 2nd Round pick will likely land you a prospect that would have been a mid-later 1st round pick in most Drafts...To me it's a no-brainer to take the chance on the QB high...Especially when it's a big need...
