  1. After watching everything I could get my hands on with the WR's I felt were in play at #22 (Laviska, Tee, Jefferson, Mims, Reagor, Aiyuk), I have to admit to liking all of them for different reasons...But Laviska was pretty clearly the head of that pack for me based on his versatility...I mean...He was the Buffs Wildcat RB! Plus he did all kinds of stuff as the #1 WR...He's a Swiss Army knife...He really can do it all and he has decent size...He reminded me of JuJu...And I was a HUGE JuJu fan when he came out...Still can't believe the Bills went with Zay over JuJu...Anyway... Then came the Combine...I took one look at him lined up for the 40 and told my Nephew..."He looks fat"...I mean...Relatively speaking of course...Then he runs slow, we have another injury to worry about...Ugh...I just think as deep as this group is you let another team take the gamble on Laviska...And it REALLY pains me to say that because all things equal, injuries aside, I LOVE the kid...But IMHO this team can ill-afford using #22, or even #54, on a WR who can't be on the field...They're trying to win the Division in 2020...They NEED that WR group to improve big time...And any prospect's most important ability is availability...?
  2. Listened to the Clinton Portis interview on One Bills Live just now...I'm paraphrasing here...But it sounds like it was a well known fact around the Redskins that Norman was not a fit for what they were doing Defensively and no one was happy about it...The cut move was likely more about that cap savings then Rivera not wanting him, though Portis seemed to indicate Norman was done with Washington and wanted a change... I still think it's 50/50 he makes the final roster...But he could be a real nice pick up for a year if everything goes well...We'll see...?
  3. I'm missing the logic where 12 million per year for Leonard Williams is a tremendous deal...Not that I think he's a bad player...But tremendous deal? Why? It's almost 4 mil annually more than his Spotrac estimated Market value...I get that is not the be all end all...But 4 mil difference! Tremendous deal??? I don't know...?
  4. I'm waiting for that 40 to solidify my overall take on Tee...I will say this much though...I'm a bit surprised at some of the Scouting I've heard already from people I definitely respect concerning Higgins...While I absolutely agree Ruggs, Jeudy, and Lamb are the top 3 without question...I'm not yet convinced Higgins is out of the conversation as the #4 guy...During the season I watched Clemson almost every week (I live in NC), and to me Tee Higgins looked like a 1st Round NFL WR all day...I'm not saying high 1st Round...But 1st Round nonetheless...He's not perfect...he needs work...But at times he literally jumps off the screen to me...I think he's an alpha on the field, and the fact that he held off Justyn Ross to be the #1 guy at Clemson is pretty impressive if you understand how good Ross is...And there is no doubt the Bills do not have anyone like Higgins currently on the Roster... No prospect is a finished product coming in...I think this was a HUGE issue for some scouts last year concerning DK Metcalf...A player I was absolutely convinced was a Top 10 prospect...But with every prospect there is that projection...That unknown...The kid should be given the same lead-way to improve (if he has the coaching and drive) as any other prospect WR IMHO...He was a semi-dominate talent in College, and a 5 star recruit coming out of HS...No reason to believe if he wants it bad enough he can't improve his strength, technique, route-running, and effectiveness against physical CB's in the NFL...He's a talented athlete, with crazy length, and what looks to be enough speed to get some separation...We'll see what he times, but he says he's going to run in the 4.4's...Which would really surprise (me) a bit...We'll see... I'm not saying Tee has the drive needed (I did feel like that was HUGE for Metcalf last year...I never doubted his drive to be the the best)...I don't know that about Tee...Not saying he doesn't...Just saying I don't know..That's what the interviews are for...But I'm not going to beat him up that much about the Combine...It's a business decision and he did not feel ready...If he runs that 4.4 at Clemson next Thursday it's going to look like a smart decision...I do think he'll get the support he needs in Buffalo if they take him...He seems like a good enough kid...A lot also depends on what Dabo says...If he gets a real strong endorsement from the Clemson staff it will matter... ?
  5. I don't necessarily agree...But I love the quote! ?
  6. I'm paraphrasing here so... Marino said an NFL insider...a name we would all know...pulled him aside to tell him he might have to get over his lack of enthusiasm for Higgins because the Bills really like him...?
  7. So...I'm guessing Albright may be the insider who passed the same info on to Joe Marino at the Combine... We'll see I guess...?
  8. Not sure about Armstrong, but I don't think Epenesa is in the discussion for the Bills at #22 any longer...He does not fit the athletic profile for a 1st Round DE...And the Bills usually stick pretty close to those thresholds...Ed Oliver's size being the outlier...But Oliver is an incredible athlete who dominated out-of position in College... I'd be fine with Epenesa at #54...But not much before...?
  9. I'm leaning this way as well...Want to see what he runs...But I think what he gives you upside/athlete-wise is superior to Epenesa...Though I have to admit after watching Epenesa on film I was shocked he ran that slow...I figured he was a 4.8 - 4.9 guy...But 5.1??? Wow...I think it does speak to Epenesa's technique because that's zero explosive speed for a DE... I'm really intrigued by Gross-Matos...Like his length and think he can be a long-term-3-down answer for the Bills... We'll see...?
  10. As much as I would love to see a guy like Ngakoue in Buffalo I'm never in favor of trading for a top tier guy like this...You have to give up too much...Picks and $$$...One or the other is fine...Both is too much...It's different if that's all the Bills are away from competing with KC...But we all know that is not the case... It would be a pass for me unless you can steal the guy...And that's not going to happen...?
  11. I'm a BIG Laviska fan...But I took one glance at him today and said..."who is that?" He weighed in at 227...I think that's about 10 lbs heavier than where he'll be in season...He looked too big to me...There's a reason he was wearing the baggy shirt... I was VERY disappointed...Let's see what happens at his Pro Day...At this point right now, with the depth at WR in this Draft, Leviska may be in play at #54...We'll see...?
  12. Ruggs is the dream scenario at #22 for the Bills... Not only do I think he won't be around at #22, I think there's a chance he's the #1 WR off the board in 2020...Especially if he runs as fast as they think he will...He's still developing...But you're looking at a potential Tyreek Hill-type impact WR in the NFL...One small misstep by a DB and it's over with that kid...?
  13. I agree...I was kinda shocked when I read it... But he is a hell of a good LB...And he can cover...?
  14. Market Value...$13 Million Per Year... Someone knows they are about to get PAID...And they're taking it dead serious...?
  15. Agreed...It would be idiotic... And I like JP...But still...?
  16. Laviska is my guy this year...He reminds me much more of a quicker version of JuJu than Sammy...To me Sammy was anti-contact...Laviska is physical like JuJu... The injury thing is what it is...It's up to the Docs... Over the past few years my guys for the Bills have been Chris Jones over Shaq, Pat Mahomes (who I said was the #1 overall pick in that Draft...), DK Metcalf last year, obviously I wanted JuJu and we picked Zay...I had Baker as the #1 QB in 2017, but more than anything the one guy I did not want was Josh Rosen... So doubt me at your own peril...??
  17. It's a hard pass from me... I think Laviska will be better as a Rookie anyway...?
  18. I certainly hope the entire NFL values Tee over Laviska right up until the Bills are on the clock at #22 overall... That way the odds increase that the Bills can get Laviska...?
  19. I don't think the Bills are going big-game hunting in the UFA market... But the guy I would like is Collins...I think he's a great replacement for Zo, he's more versatile, and I don't think they'll have to break the bank to get him (Spotrac has his Market Value at 8.8 per year...)...Plus it hurts the Pats if we sign him...Win/Win...?
  20. He had the game won in the 1st half with those two passes... I've watched both a million times now...Slow motion...Frame by frame...And I have to stop because it makes me too angry... Both those throws were absolute money and to say Duke and Smoke let him down is a bit of an understatement... Just heartbreaking... ?
