  1. Maxx Crosby-4th round Eastern Michigan.
  2. That's the Philadelphia Eagles. They knew who they are and what they do well. And keep doing it. They also have a better D line then we do. Especially at getting after the QB. And the one intangible they play with the past couple of years is that they are well coached, and play with confidence. Their coach exudes that on the sideline to the point where you want to punch him in the face because he comes off so cocky. But the team plays with that confidence, and that is a big difference knowing you are going to win at the end of every game. We are not playing that way right now in the slightest. That starts with McDermott. He looks tense worried and concerned from the get go every week. Not a leader w confidence like say Dan Campbell. That has filtered down to Josh. We started the game with an excellent first drive. That should have continued all game with a few adjustments as Cinci adjusted. But we bogged down immediately throughout most of the rest of the game until the 4th quarter. By then we were down by 2 scores. And had the unfortunate Kincaid fumble. The offense has no cohesiveness or consistency. That should not be happening at this point in the year in Josh's 6th season. He is pressing too much. And does not look in complete control of things. That is the big difference between he Burrow and Mahones. B and M look completely calm cool and collected, like they have been playing in their respective offenses their entire life. Josh is pressing and not looking smooth and collected. Something has to change real quick else no playoffs for this team..
  3. We are going to need at least 10 wins to have a shot at the playoffs. Have to beat the Broncos and Jets to get things turned around. Then the gauntlet starts. KC Philly Dallas Chargers. And finish with NE and Miami. No gimmes. If the team was playing well I could see a 6-2 finish. But we are not. Offense gets nothing out of Harty Sherfield Murray Knox and Davis. It’s Cook Diggs and Kincaid. And now some Shakir which should have happened from the start of the year. (That’s on the offensive coaches for not making the kid a big part of the offense from Day 1 of camp. Same w Kincaid) And some Josh Allen runs which never happen in the 1st half. But start when we are desperate later in the game. Josh is still a baller. Love watching him play. But the offense is not a well oiled machine. And the passion is lacking. We barely get plays off before the 40 second clock expires. The O line is average at best. And Spencer Brown should not be on the field. He is a huge liability. Defense has a lot of injuries. And the D line has no game changers. Taron Johnson is a liability in coverage even though he is a great tackler. Just too small to cover most WR’s. Safety’s are old and slow if not tough as nails. Roster is mediocre at best. And losing Milano Jones and White was brutal. Because the rest of defense is at best average as a whole. McDermott is not going to lead this team anywhere close to a championship. His Mojo ended at 13 seconds. If we can’t turn it around and at least be competitive and a tough out every week, the whole coaching staff needs to go after this season.
  4. Beasley was great as a slot receiver. He was always open in clutch situations. Kincaid is him now. But we need a lot more from our WR’s. Gabe sucks. He is almost never open.
  5. The Chiefs very rarely play a prime time game on the road. The NFL seems to love games at night in Arrowhead Stadium.
  6. Good teams win at home and on the road.
  7. Physicality and toughness is certainly important. But this isn't 1970's Raider football where you could literally beat the tar out of your opponent. Any big time hit gets flagged in today's NFL. Just look at last nite's game and the personal fouls called on both teams for landing with full bodyweight on the QB. I think Poyer and Hyde would love to lay the wood on the Bengal's receivers. But that's just a personal foul penalty waiting to happen. But we do need to come out and play w attitude swag and confidence. And that includes an aggressive game plan from the coaches. Push the ball up the field. Make the Bengals defense chase our guys. The short passing game does nothing to put the opposing defense on their heals. Every series on offense is super critical. Play call that way. We have run the draw to Cook on second and long so many times this year. And gotten nothing from it. Take it out of the playbook. Let Josh run as much as needed. He is our x factor against a good team. The Bengals went into San Fran and played a great game. No reason we can't go into Cinci and play the same against them. And if there is any way to get Douglas Joseph and Fournette dressed for the game and involved on the field, they had best do it. Because guys like Dane Jackson are just too small and unimposing physically to compete well against a team like the Bengals.
  8. The offense looked a lot better in the first 3 qtrs last week because we were getting other players involved. Namely Shakir, Kincaid and Davis. All 3 can make plays if we use them correctly. The 5-8 yard routes we mostly run where the receiver is stationary when catching the ball make it very difficult for any yards after the catch. Hit guys on the move with passes as we did w all 3 last week especially with Shakir and Kincaid and good things will happen on offense. And the same goes for Diggs. Throwing 5-8 yard turn ins where he is stationary looking at Allen when he catches the ball doesn't do much. The DB just comes in and tackles him. Diggs is a big time talent. Hit him running vertically or running deep crosses where he can use his speed and elusiveness after the catch. And the offense has much more big play potential. One other issue. Dawson Knox. He is just talented enough to be playing a lot other than in the red zone. Guy has lousy hands, and very limited mobility. I think he bogs down the offense. And Josh for some reason looks for him far too much when he is on the field. Inside the 10? Fine he can be helpful in the end zone because of his decent size. But Kincaid is light years better as an overall receiver.
  9. Not having Milano is a big loss against Cincinnati. Get a good pass rush on Burrow. And play press coverage on their WR's. Can't give them the 8 yard pass all night because we are afraid of getting beat deep. Bills just need to play tough hard nosed football against the Bengals. I hope Douglas and Joseph are on the field. They are both good tough smart veteran players. We need to keep the score close and let Josh win it for us in the 4th quarter. Lets hope the coaching staff can come up with a gameplan that actually gives us a chance to win. McDermott teams have fallen short in big games in that respect.
  10. I forgot about him. Good call. I just looked up his stats. From 2006-2010 he put up some solid numbers. And given a lot of the crap QB's playing in the league today, his numbers would look real good.
  11. How many really good ECU players have their been ? QB Jeff Blake had a solid career. Did former Titan RB Chris Johnson play at ECU? And didn’t Zay Jones also?
  12. Jimmy G is terrible. No one wants to celebrate his b day. The Raiders should trade him for Russell Wilson😂😂
  13. Someone needs to be thrown under the bus when things go bad. That shows no accountability on anyone in the organization period. He is completely ineffectual as leader of the organization. Elam can't play a lick and its an ankle injury all of a sudden. Lets get real. This team needs to man up and stop making excuses for always coming up short. Lets have an aggressive game plan against the Bengals. And play like we owe them a beat down. McDermott being all schmoozy with Zack Taylor before the game doesn't quite set the "we are going to kick your ass" mentality that this team has been missing for some time.
  14. He looked great against Tampa. I expect him to be on top of his game against Cinci. McDermott on the other hand coached a terrible second half against Tampa. And should stay in the tent on game day.
  15. That's right that Hyde started out as a nickel corner w the Packers. I honestly knew nothing about Poyer before he came to the Bills. Both have been great players and professionals for the Bills. I wish all our free agent signings turned out close to what those two have meant to the team. At best they each probably have one year left after this season. Would love to see them go out as champions.
  16. Nothing more original then that? The guy couldn't coach a winning season in pee wee football. But what about Jimmy G. He looks awful immobile scared and disinterested. The guy has become an NFL scrub. Sit his ass on the bench.
  17. If that's the case (that they think he can't play pro ball at all) then someone needs to be canned for that kind of BS scouting. He played and started at a big time SEC program. If they watched his film, they can tell what kind of player he was. You don't draft guys in the first round randomly, who don't have athletic ability. I thought he looked solid last year. And then this season, he isn't dressing to start the year. And when he did play against the Jags and Giants, he looked like dump (as my daughter fondly likes to say). Something had to have happened to this kid in the offseason. We just don't know what it is. Hard to believe we started Levi Wallace a player of very limited physical ability for 3 years, and won't let Elam a 1st round pick even dress. Does not make sense. I would not completely write him off just yet. But someone on the team needs to take him under their wing and teach him the finer points of playing CB at the NFL level. Hyde and Poyer would be a good start even though they play safety.
  18. That's a riot. My 3 kids are all young adults. But have been Bills fans since they were young even though they all grew up in the Atlanta area. They live all over the U S now. But watch all the games. And its something we can all connect with. The same with my two brothers who live on the West Coast. I remember my daughter used to wear a Brian Moorman jersey all the time when she was young. That shows how bad we were in that era w our best player being a punter. Enjoy your son. They grow up fast. And then the mayhem will start.
  19. That’s awesome brother. I remember when my daughter was born in the 1997 football season. I am a big Michigan college football fan. When she was little she would sit in the bouncy seat next to me while I watched us go undefeated and win the National Championship. Great memory. Now she is 26 and is a big Bills fan living in Arizona.
  20. I live in Fort Lauderdale part time. Hard to sit inside all day on a beautiful Sunday afternoon if the Bills aren’t playing. But I certainly will watch some football every Sunday and follow on my phone the games I bet on. The Seahawks-Browns game was excellent yesterday to watch btw. On YoutubeTv you can watch 4 games at once. And choose which one you want sound on. For my money Kevin Harlan is the best NFL announcer. And Gus Johnson is the best college announcer.
  21. The second punt on 4th and 2 was ultra weak. Most coaches go for it there. We had momentum on our side and likely get it. Another score and the game was over. We should have won this game by 3 TD's. Offense was killing it up and down the field. The play call on 3rd and goal at the half yard line was terrible. The two 4th down penalties on the illegal contact and face mask were bad. Johnson is a good player. But he can be exploited because of his size. Overall a real good game by both offense and defense. Coaching is the weak link on the team.
  22. Shakir and Kincaid are much better weapons then Knox. I think that was obvious tonite.
  23. That's an oldy but goody. Takes me back to 1976 in 5th grade.
  24. At least we didn't resign Edmunds to a ridiculous contract. But our drafts have certainly not been good enough under Beane. Basham, Ford, Moss to name a few.
  25. I think you summed it up perfectly. The team gets no energy from its coaching staff. And they don't out scheme anyone. Josh is still a baller. But needs to get the ball to Kincaid Shakir and Harty more. All 3 can run. And Josh himself needs to run more. The Dolphins are a lot of style and not much substance. Their defense is still nothing special. But I am sure a lot of teams are saying that about us as well now. Hopefully we can get it turned around tonite and then next week in Cincinnati. If not, time to blow it all up.
