  1. What does Littlefinger do when Sansa rejects him? And she will reject him. The question is how well has she learned to play the game. She could play him to her advantage if she wanted but that would be a stretch for her.
  2. I always thought he would too, but I think Lawler broke him. He looked afraid to get hit. It had his hands stretched out in front of him any time he moved forward and then would throw a single punch then back away. It was embarrassing and nothing like the fighter I've seen for the past 6-7 years. Thompson might have beaten him anyway but Rory just gave the fight away with his tentativeness. I expected him to grind Thompson, get in the clinch, shoot for takedowns. He pretty much did nothing for 5 rounds except roll for a heal hook 3 times and lost a decision. I was really disappointed in that fight. Thompson is bad, bad matchup for Lawler. He should outclass him but Lawler does have power, all he has to do is connect once.
  3. Add Littlefinger to the list. He's is probably their greatest threat. He had Jon Arryn killed, then betrayed Ned which resulted in his death, then had Joffry killed then killed his wife. He's not exactly an ally that can be relied upon or trusted.
  4. Sansa wrote to Littlefinger asking for his help so there's a good chance he makes it. Now, who knows whose side he'll be on. He might pull a Lannister tactic and show up late and join the winning side. I also think there's a good chance the Umbers turn on the Boltons and swing the battle. There's a reason, beyond just comedic effect, that they wouldn't swear fealty to the Boltons. They were supposed to be the Starks most loyal banner men, it doesn't make sense that they'd just give Rickon to Ramsey after raising the child for the past few years because there are some Wildling invasions bothering them. It all has the feel of a set up.
  5. It's not a matter of suspension of disbelief, it's a matter of consistency. In one episode you can't have the Hound telling Arya they have to kill a guy because he has a stomach wound and it won't heal and in another having Arya getting stabbed 4-5 times in the gut and healing up by the next day because she had some soup. The show can't do anything it wants and expect the audience to accept it because there are dragons and magic. It also made absolutely no sense why Arya was strolling the town, without her sword, with her hands behind her back like she was walking through a tulip garden when she knew the Waif was going to be looking for her. One episode she's hiding in a dark room with her sword the next it's a walk in the park. WTF?! It makes absolutely no sense in the context that has been presented to us.
  6. Yeah, I don't buy this theory. I think it's much simpler than that particularly if you piece together the clues they've given you in previews. The preview to season 6 had a shot of Arya in a room (much like the one she was in at the end of episode 5 with Needle) where she blows out a candle. There's an image from the preview of next weeks episode where a bloody hand leaves a print on a stone wall. Arya knows she can't beat the Waif in straight up combat so this is all just an ruse by Arya to lead the Waif into a room where she can turn out the lights and have the advantage. The blood is fake and Arya will later reveal she had some sort of protection on that prevented her from being stabbed. People will say, "but how did she know she wouldn't get her throat slit, or killed some other way??!!" and I have those complaints about TV/Movies all the time. The answer is - it's a TV show and they're more interested in creating these bread crumb cliffhanger endings to episodes that make us tune in next week they are with any sort of realism.
  7. I agree, he is a loudmouth POS. However, Rockhold might just be a bigger douche. I laughed when he got KO'd by pillow hands Bisping. Bisping won't be able to defend the strap a single time so there's going to be a rush of guys wanting the first shot at him. I'm hoping Souza gets the first crack.
  8. After 16 years with no playoffs you'd think this joke would have died a horrible death long ago. Yet, somehow, it persists.
  9. The media acts like its better to not get to the finals than to get there and lose. Somehow it taints your career to win a conference championship but lose the league championship. Go figure.
  10. He doesn't even have a punchers chance. His best hope is to simply survive and love via decision. I don't think that happens, it'll be over in the 1st or 2nd.
  11. I have no beers in me and that was my first assumption given the title of the thread.
  12. 4 Super Bowl rings later and it appears they've been wise to follow this rule.
  13. Well, here's were not to get it Yes, that's a tattoo in honor of her father right next to her crotch. So, if you want to be classier than Paulina Gretsky, don't get their names put next to your crotch.
  14. Well see, there you go.
  15. Yeah, I'd have to agree. If TT was a high first round pick and had that season he'd be in Prisco's top half by the looks of it.
  16. Disagree, it is the case in the books. Martin coming out later and clarifying something in a Q&A doesn't change what is actually in the books. In the books, Danny doesn't burn the one time we've seen her interact with fire. Until it happens again and she says, "ouch!" or there's some exposition to say what Martin says in that Q&A we are left with the fact that she walked into a fire and didn't get burnt. I could care less what GRRM says later. That being said, I read the books over 5 years ago so if I forgot something and there is such a scene in the books disregard that entire paragraph! On a side note, I hate when author's/filmmakers come out and explain things that were in their works. Put everything you want the reader to know in the work and leave it alone. If you have to explain something you didn't do your job or you're not confident you did it well. Having questions left unanswered isn't a bad thing.
  17. We shouldn't start worrying about Henderson until the Bills' medical staff clears him. That's the kiss of death...
  18. This one I agree with you on. I don't mind them getting rid of the IV to prevent massive weight cuts but the year long ban on them is ridiculous. Nobody is cutting weight between fights, they're not protecting the fighters by doing this. That being said, a rule is a rule and if they want to compete it's up to the athletes in a sport to know the rules and follow them, even if they don't agree with them.
  19. Brienne got to be the one to end Stannis. Tyrion killed Tywin. Both of those are pretty traditional. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Theon got to be the one to finish Ramsey. Though it's likely Sansa, given her proximity.
  20. This is such a shame. While I don't think Weidman deserved an immediate rematch but inserting Bisping into the title fight makes this a card I might not bother buying. I expect Bisping to get completey demolished by Rockhold. Hell, I don't think Bisping did enough to beat an over the hill Silva yet here he is against the best in the world. Cruz/Faber isn't a bad fight, but I expect Cruz to cruise to a victory fairly easily. Faber has nothing for him standing and he won't be able to get it to the ground/keep it on the ground long enough to make a difference. The one I'm looking forward to is Holloway/Lamas, but I'm not sure it's enough to get my $60.
  21. He might end up being very good for the Bills but if he misses training camp as a rookie his rookie season is pretty much all gone in terms of getting a high level of production. There's rarely ever any catching up from that.
  22. I don't even mind most of the extra crap he throws in, even if it is only for the purpose of making the story take seven books instead of five. Usually there is enough to hold my interest anyway. The one that gets to me though, is Daenerys. Every time a chapter of hers would come up I'd decide it was time to turn off the light and go to bed (after briefly considering skipping it.) Five books of wandering the f'in desert when your stated goal is to reclaim your rightful throne across the sea is more than I can take.
  23. Can you link me to a peer reviewed medical study - not a weightlifting or supplements site - that supports this claim? And assuming what you say is true (and it's not because they cheated in the past), I guess this means that you think it's fair to have guys who are WAY past their athletic peak competing on equal terms with athletes who are in their primes simply because they get replacement therapy.
