  1. Bother to what? Grabbing a beer, flipping on the TV and spending 3 hours a week watching a game? He doesnt have to believe the team will be good to enjoy doing those things.
  2. I like at ESPN is doing this. It's a daily reminder to everybody that Brady is a cheater.
  3. That's not saying much becaus Bridgewater wasn't very good last season despite all the positive press the guy gets. He was a mid-tier starter and on the lower end of that bracket. He had a good rookie season and didn't really build on it. People are acting like Bridgewater getting hurt is the equivilent of Brady or Rogers. Unlike those guys Teddy wasn't the heart and soul of his team and they can overcome his loss. They weren't legit SB contenders withh him and they still won't be without him but they can still make the playoffs. That being said giving up that much for a lower tier starter is ridiculous.
  4. What is with this "throwing in the towel" garbage I keep seeing? Since when are reporters supposed to actively cheer a team? They're supposed to report and sometimes give opinions (depending on the piece.) They aren't fans and to expect them to be is nieve to say the least.
  5. Yeah, I never thought his fights were boring either. He was the most well rounded fighter in MMA history and I dont blame him for "playing it safe"'after the KO by Serra. Only a stupid fighter doesn't use everything in his toolset to his advantage. I do not get the dislike for the ground game by many fans. If you only like striking go watch boxing or kickboxing.
  6. The Broncos have a great D, the Bills might have a good D, we'll see. Given that the Broncos won the SB with mediocre to bad QB play I'll go ahead and go with them until they prove they can't do it again.
  7. Damn, another "EJ situation!" What's he doing now? Not standing during the anthem? Hitting his girlfriend? Using drugs? Boot stomping off duty cops? That guy is such a distraction he's just not worth having on the team anymore.
  8. True. It was the stoppable force vs the movable object. The stoppable force won.
  9. The Condit dight wasnt much of a surprise. His achiles heel has always been his takedown defense. In the past he's been able to survive but he's never faced anyone as dangerous as Maia on the ground. Gunnar Nelson, who is a hell of a BJJ practioner got destroyed on the ground by Maia.
  10. Except for Sundays between roughly 1-6, when I'm more aggravated and less happy. The rest of the week is pretty much the same.
  11. No guaranteed contracts in the NFL...
  12. Considering I've seen Rex throw exotic blitzs at teams in the first preseason game when offenses aren't really prepared to handle them, due to lack of game planning, it's not a bad move to sit your franchise QB unless you feel he needs the work. Rex isn't necessarily serious about winning but he's serious about disguising rushers and blitzing when most teams play vanilla. Not sure why people are getting their panties in a bunch about Irsay's comment.
  13. The only recent thing I'd have issue with the medical staff for is clearing Lawson pre-draft saying he wouldn't need surgery while other teams moved him down because they knew he'd need to go under the knife sometime soon.
  14. Exactly. This is good, quality gibberish, not the "worthless" kind jethro was claiming it to be.
  15. Does anybody seek a 2nd opinion if they liked the first one?
  16. Yep, and his last 3 fights had to take a toll on him. He absorbed so much punishment, it's not a surprise he finally got dropped. Of course, now Woodly is trying to duck Wonderboy, which is a shame as he appears to easily be the best WW in the world atm. Nick Diaz!!!?? Seriously? That's your call out?
  17. It didn't look like Claudia was prepared to go 5 rounds. I thought she won the first two rounds then had nothing left in the tank. And I'm not sure how you can sit through the ultimate fighter still. I watched the first 6-7 seasons or so before it just got bland.
  18. I like Tate but there aren't many fights in that division that excite me. Nunes isn't one of them. As a fight early on the card it's not bad, as the main event it's a major dud.
  19. Silva never faced the best in the world when he was in his prime and occasionally fought at LHW. So now that he's way past his prime he's going to take on the champ who also is a world class wrestler and big enough to fight at HW? This with two days notice when he hasn't been training? Ugh, not the replacement fight I wanted to see. I've always been a fan of the Spider but I don't want to pay to see him get his ass handed to him in an epic ground and pound beatdown. The only fights on the main card I'm interested in seeing are the Frankie/Aldo and Cain/Browne fights and I'm not sure those are worth my money. It was an easy buy with Jones/Cormier but now I don't know...
  20. I don't think that's her motivation for wanting to rule. She feels it's "owed" her, much like her brother did simply because of her blood. She might have a nobler perspective on how to rule, but the reasons for her years long quest to get to the throne are anything but noble. I also found it interesting that when Yara Greyjoy came before her and said her uncle "stole" her rule Danny agreed and called him an "usurper" yet he was anything but. They followed the laws/customs of their land and elected him the ruler via the Kingsmoot. So Dany thinks it's okay for Yara to overthrow the rightful ruler to the Iron Islands because he's not a good guy but when Robert overthrew a king who wanted to kill pretty much everybody that wasn't "just" and now she must get the throne back via any means necessary. I'm hoping Dany's story line has her ignoring Tyrion's advice and she ends up doing more and more evil things in her quest for power the closer she comes to accomplishing her goal. That would be an interesting twist from the "free the slaves" ruler we've seen the past few seasons. And they've alluded to a darker side of Dany on a few occasions. Stringing up the masters alone the path to Mareen and then a few episodes ago her threatening to burn all the cities down that the masters resided in, despite that it would kill lots of innocents too. I don't think the series will end with some ultimate winner of the Iron Throne. I'm guessing the humans will unite to stop the walkers but once that fight is done they continue bickering over who the next King/Queen will be, thus ultimately stating that the "Game of Thrones" is a game with no end.
  21. Reminds me of Life of Brian: "I think it was 'Blessed are the Cheesemakers.'"
  22. While this is true Dareus 2 gapped much more than 1 last season. I soent many a game watching him anchor the line on most plays.
  23. That's not really what he was doing last year. He was playing 2 gaps, which meant he had to anchor down at the LoS instead of penetrating off the snap. Granted, I don't think his role is going to change, as much as I wish it would. It's a waste of a huge man with an amazing first step to have him playing in a two gap scheme.
  24. So I guess Tyrion, Cersie, Jamie, Daenerys and Jon all survive Season 6 since the actors that portray them signed new deals for season's 7 & 8. All were pretty much givens except for Cersie whom I thought might bite it. With that type of pay, $500k per episode, I can see being really upset if you picked up a script and saw you were killed before the series finally. http://www.businessinsider.com/game-of-thrones-stars-get-pay-raises-for-future-seasons-2016-6
  25. My sack hangs in the middle, right where there is a giant hole in the toilet seat. The hole tends to be big enough for my sack to fit through. How on earth can your sack "stick" to your thigh? Even if moist, the weight of the balls prevent them from defying gravity.
