  1. I am a former college sprinter and an Allen fan, but his form in that 40 is absolutely brutal. He is so much more fluid in game. If he worked on it I'm sure you could max him out in the low 4.5's.
  2. And my point is that no matter who you wanted, they'd still have been a rookie. It's weird how many on here expected a finished product. I wanted Rosen and I'm glad I wasn't in charge. Of course the position is mental, it is probably the most mentally demanding position in all of sports. And of course he has a long way to go in that and many other aspects of learning the position, but he is not a one read QB like you claimed. I have actually been impressed with his improvement mentally and from the pocket. He has a long way to go yes, but the fact that he is improving (and doing so against damn good defenses) is encouraging to me.
  3. Except one is an 8 year vet and one is a rookie. I agree he is still raw in many aspects but give me a lump of clay with heart any day. Which QB did you want this past draft?
  4. This is simply false. Second quarter, 5:23. Allen looks right at McKenzie in the flat and processes that he has a defender right in front of him. Allen picks up 9. To your point, 10 years from now I'd rather have him dump that off and he likely will. Watch the all 22 if you can. Allen actually processes pretty well for a rookie. I would not call him a 1 read QB, especially not in the Jags or Houston game.
  5. Go back and watch it. He did look before he took off and he picked up more yards than the receiver would have. The TD to Foster was his second read on the play.
  6. I brought this up a few months back but no one remembered. That was an epic meltdown.
  7. Which was a beautiful throw. Thompson has to tuck that one away and bring it down.
  8. You see Rosen today?
  9. The "Marrone" special. Punt from the 40.
  10. Shaq is the MVP for getting LF out of the game.
  11. Milano bailed them out. D better figure something out. JA has played well.
  12. This is Marrones dream offense. For the love of everything good, please stop the F-ing run.
  13. Jessie James is there with McDonald in Pitt. Kroft and Eifert are both FAs in Cinci. I know most want us to figure out a way to get a true #1 WR, but I could see us loading up on a couple legit TEs and making them the focus of the passing game next year.
  14. Unlike WR, there should be some good options available at TE in free agency. It wouldn't shock me to see us pick up 2 and roll with them and Croom.
  15. If he kills us with his legs again I am going to snap. Make this guy throw it from the pocket and we have a chance.
  16. If they could somehow land Paradis in FA and Teller develops, we're a solid draft pick at RT or RG away from having a good young line. If if I had to focus on either o line or WR, I'd build the line first.
  17. I'd love for Allen to throw a TD against Ramsey. It's probably wise to avoid him but something tells me they will take some shots on him.
  18. We have a program here in Eastern NC that my hunt club has participated in for several years. It's good for families that need a little help with food, the hunters and the deer herd believe it or not. He took Eddie Yarbrough hunting in WNY a couple days ago.
  19. When healthy Allen was throwing to a few deep middle crossing routes per game. I'd guess many of them were right at the 20 yard level. Most people probably associate "deep" (me included) with sideline go routes.
  20. There is an old saying about walking a mile in another mans shoes. I'm all for personal responsibility and controlling your own destiny, but this seems a bit harsh. RIP James.
