  1. How about 18pt?
  2. Was at a Super Bowl party at a home of a friend of my then girlfriend, the year of Nipple Gate. During halftime was talking to some guy in the kitchen. After the game on the way home she asks me if I knew who I was talking to, I said no. She says that was Todd Hobin. I knew the name having heard of his band, but did not know that was him. Maybe 2004, I would house sit for the brother of my boss, while he was out of town for work, and watch his dogs. Through his travels for work he'd meet a lot of people. One person was Spencer Bohren, kind of folk, blues, southern music. Well, one time when Spencer was in the area, he came to the house and did a private show for just family and friends of the owner. Maybe 10 years later I was in New Orleans for work and saw Spencer was doing a show at a local art museum, so I stopped over. He actually remembered me from that house show 10 years earlier. I don't remember the year, it was sometime after I got season tickets, so after 2000, when you could still stand by the players entrance of the stadium before a game. I'm there with Cindy (rip) and we see one of the Bills front office people coming towards us with some guy. We both recognize this guy but can't think of a name. They walk by us, we say hi, they say hi back. They are about 50 yards away from us when it hits us, that was Chuck Mangione! He was there to do the National Athem that day. As tempting as it was to chase them down for a picture, I did not.

  9. Unpopular opinion? Ok... @Gugny is actually a nice guy once you get to know him. I've got several neices/nephews in those, and every weekend they got something going on. And if you're not in the right club/team, you're *****. One of my first car purchases was a 1986 Toyota MR2, bought in 1992, for about $5K. I noticed the other week there's one for sale in my area, not sure on the year, mileage, or asking price. But I started looking up what they are going for, being 35 year old cars, you'd think $1-2K. Nope. I guess because the ones I saw online are in good shape, they're going on average $7-10K.

  20. Lots of systems out there, I install and service ones for healthcare facilities, so ones I deal with would be overkill for home use, unless you feel like spending $10K or more. 70's brought up some points that I am also including in my list below... Things to consider... 1) Is it a one-time purchase price, or will there be a monthly monitoring cost? 2) Are the devices waterproof? 3) Who gets notified, does it go straight to 911, an answering service, or a family member? And what if someone does not answer? 4) User replaceable batteries, or does the pendant have to be replaced when the battery dies? 5) Can other devices be added, like a pull cord in the bathroom, or smoke detectors, etc? 6) Do the pendants alert for falls? 7) Is it home use only, or do they offer gps locating if you're away from home? I may think of other things to add later. Check with your mother's local government Office of The Aging, they may already have programs in place with companies for discounts on equipment and service. Here's one that I've installed their large-scale system, but they also do individual home systems. Lifeline | Medical Alert Systems
