  1. Schwartz had the option to stay and switch to Rex's loser defensive scheme--which was no option whatsoever. Will you acknowledge this simple fact? The minute they hired Rex it was bye bye Schwartz. I said that when it happened and I was sick and certain the defense would fall off this year. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But the Pegulas fell in love with Rex's teeth whitener and BS blowhard macho act, and here we are, dropping Dareus into pass coverage. If they had any sense they would fire Rex today, but they won't. That's what I was saying when Marone quit. Make Schwartz the HC--the defense was the strength of the team last year--and hire a good OC and add personnel to fix the offense. Instead they hire Rex, whose specialty is defense, and who is wedded to his complex 3-4 scheme, and he drives the defense into the ditch. At this point I doubt the Pegulas are going to fire him unless they go 6-10 or thereabouts on the season. I'm figuring they'll gasp their way to 8-8 and we'll have to endure loudmouth Rex for at least another half season until he gets himself fired.
  2. It's pretty clear it was the Pegulas who fell down in adoration after interviewing Rex. And it's Rex who is doing a horrible job of coaching the strong roster, at least on defense, he was given. Rex is the problem, not Whaley. It would be just like the Bills to fire Whaley and double down on loser blowhard can't-manage-a-game-to-save-his-life Ryan.
  3. At this point the only thing that is going to save Rex's rep is if he can get these guys to win five in a row. When was the last time the Bills won five in a row? It's not like it's impossible, but given the way Rex has the playing it seems so. So, Rex, how about it?
  4. The Bills will never win a title under Rex Ryan. He is a terrible coach.
  5. I hated the hire at the time and said so.
  6. My rule of thumb every season is: beat the AFC teams you play. If the Bills beat the Chiefs, Texans, and Jets, then they could even make it at 8-8. If they win one of the Eagles, Redskins, or Cowboys in addition to make it to 9-7 they should be golden.
  7. Exactly. It's not that he isn't right about one thing or another now and then. It's his consistent pissy attitude and knee jerk trolling. Life is too short.
  8. I always skip him. I usually can tell the article is written by him just from the headline. For instance, I will bet you a dollar that the piece today titled, "Taylor still has much to prove..." is by Sully.
  9. Just plain dumb thing to do. Asking for trouble. Really dumb.
  10. The season is over. Over. Over.
  11. I didn't want him here either and I predicted the defense would take a step backward.
  12. Losers. They have always been losers, and they will always be losers. It doesn't matter who the coach is or who the players are. It will never change. Years pass, players and management come and go, and nothing changes. Any time spent investing your heart or mind in this team is time completely wasted, time you will never get back, time that will only leave you unhappy and frustrated. I'm done. Call me when they win the Super Bowl and I'll apologize. I won't be waiting by the phone.
  13. Not like that throw to Watkins TT made at the end of the Patriots game that he had to leap up ten feet even to be able to touch. leaving him hung out to dry for the safety. I'm not saying EJ played great. But the double standard of evaluation here is, at the very least, interesting.
  14. Gay was getting touchbacks on at least half his kickoffs. Cundiff could not kick though the end zone and Carpenter can't either. Is that one extra spot on the roster really worth giving the other team field position past the 20, sometimes, given our pathetic coverage lately, WAY past the 20? Rex looks more and more like a guy who thinks he is smart instead of a person who IS smart.
  15. When they hired Rex I felt this sick feeling that the defense would be much worse than it was under Schwartz. I so wanted them to hire a good offensive minded head coach and keep Schwartz and his team on defense. But instead the Pegulas got all dazzled by Sexy Rexy and here we are. The best pass rush in the league last year is now 27th.
  16. Yes, he did move to tackle.
  17. EJ must know that pretty much no commentator on the NFL thinks he is anything more than a scrub. From the day he was drafted, many people were calling him a bust. At some level this has to grind him, and nothing would mean more to him than to show them wrong. Doesn't mean he will be able to do it, but during the pre-season he did look more poised, more accurate, more aware in the pocket, more willing to take his shots, more able to bounce back from a bad play. Who knows whether that translates, but I hope he gets to start tomorrow, open some eyes, and help us win this game.
  18. Whenever I think of Costa I remember this photo from his rookie season.
  19. Thoughts are with you. Dr. K
  20. I know Whaley is the GM and thus ultimately responsible for roster moves, but both of these moves reek of Rex being behind them. I cannot imagine that Whaley thinks Cundiff is better than Carpenter, or wants to play those mind games on Carp. And I think it's absolutely Rex who blacklisted Bryce Brown. The Moore over Thigpen thing might possibly be a Whaley move.
  21. It was my opinion when the Bills got McCoy that Spiller at New Orleans would outgain him for this season.
  22. If they cut Carpenter for Cundiff, they are morons. I am rapidly losing any faith I ever had in Rex Ryan's judgment.
  23. With only a few moments' exception, I breathed during the entire game.
  24. "Refute" requires you to prove that an assertion is wrong. He denied it, he didn't refute it.
  25. Lots of people are ragging on the o-line but I thought they were decent yesterday. Tyrod had time to throw, but often he held the ball too long or couldn't make the reads. Those sacks were on Tyrod as much as on the o-line.
