  1. The season is over. Over. Over.
  2. I didn't want him here either and I predicted the defense would take a step backward.
  3. Losers. They have always been losers, and they will always be losers. It doesn't matter who the coach is or who the players are. It will never change. Years pass, players and management come and go, and nothing changes. Any time spent investing your heart or mind in this team is time completely wasted, time you will never get back, time that will only leave you unhappy and frustrated. I'm done. Call me when they win the Super Bowl and I'll apologize. I won't be waiting by the phone.
  4. Not like that throw to Watkins TT made at the end of the Patriots game that he had to leap up ten feet even to be able to touch. leaving him hung out to dry for the safety. I'm not saying EJ played great. But the double standard of evaluation here is, at the very least, interesting.
  5. Gay was getting touchbacks on at least half his kickoffs. Cundiff could not kick though the end zone and Carpenter can't either. Is that one extra spot on the roster really worth giving the other team field position past the 20, sometimes, given our pathetic coverage lately, WAY past the 20? Rex looks more and more like a guy who thinks he is smart instead of a person who IS smart.
  6. When they hired Rex I felt this sick feeling that the defense would be much worse than it was under Schwartz. I so wanted them to hire a good offensive minded head coach and keep Schwartz and his team on defense. But instead the Pegulas got all dazzled by Sexy Rexy and here we are. The best pass rush in the league last year is now 27th.
  7. Yes, he did move to tackle.
  8. EJ must know that pretty much no commentator on the NFL thinks he is anything more than a scrub. From the day he was drafted, many people were calling him a bust. At some level this has to grind him, and nothing would mean more to him than to show them wrong. Doesn't mean he will be able to do it, but during the pre-season he did look more poised, more accurate, more aware in the pocket, more willing to take his shots, more able to bounce back from a bad play. Who knows whether that translates, but I hope he gets to start tomorrow, open some eyes, and help us win this game.
  9. Whenever I think of Costa I remember this photo from his rookie season.
  10. Thoughts are with you. Dr. K
  11. I know Whaley is the GM and thus ultimately responsible for roster moves, but both of these moves reek of Rex being behind them. I cannot imagine that Whaley thinks Cundiff is better than Carpenter, or wants to play those mind games on Carp. And I think it's absolutely Rex who blacklisted Bryce Brown. The Moore over Thigpen thing might possibly be a Whaley move.
  12. It was my opinion when the Bills got McCoy that Spiller at New Orleans would outgain him for this season.
  13. If they cut Carpenter for Cundiff, they are morons. I am rapidly losing any faith I ever had in Rex Ryan's judgment.
  14. With only a few moments' exception, I breathed during the entire game.
  15. "Refute" requires you to prove that an assertion is wrong. He denied it, he didn't refute it.
  16. Lots of people are ragging on the o-line but I thought they were decent yesterday. Tyrod had time to throw, but often he held the ball too long or couldn't make the reads. Those sacks were on Tyrod as much as on the o-line.
  17. THIS. I think both of the interceptions came on high passes that were high because otherwise he can't get them over the center of the line.
  18. Yes. Unfortunately, such people have been around as long as there have been people. And cheaters will use that as an excuse to say that cheating is all right, to the point that it's as if there is no such thing as cheating.
  19. They should not have cut Brown. They are too thin at running back.
  20. I think this cut was more Rex's doing than Whaley's. I don't think Rex ever warmed to Brown.
  21. I like Preston Brown, but his personal foul penalty when he put his helmet into Luck after Luck had already gone down was inexcusably stupid, the kind of play that can lose a tight game for you.
  22. I don't think Ryan and Roman have any expectation of playing Manuel this year, or intention to start him if Tyrod gets hurt. But I have a hunch that EJ will end up playing and starting before the year is out.
  23. I agree. These guys are just never going to give him a clear shot. He way outplayed Cassel in the pre-season, and now he's 3rd string? Just shows that Rex & Roman are not interested in an inherited QB. I think EJ will prove to be a good QB, but unless both TT and Cassel stink up the joint or get injured, he ain't going to get the chance in Buffalo.
  24. Worse than last year in terms of points per game and big plays given up.
  25. The first rounder in 2013 got traded down,, which led to EJ PLUS Kiko in the second round with the extra pick. Kiko got traded for McCoy. So out of the 2013, 2014, and 2015 first round picks the Bills got EJ, McCoy, and Watkins. In my opinion the jury is still out on EJ. I suppose you could say it's also out on how the other two will work out, but I don't think on the face of it this was a bad outcome.
