  1. If there's one thing that the last presidential election taught me, it's that I tend to give the voting public way too much credit for intelligence than they deserve.
  2. That's one way to liquify them without dirtying the blender.
  3. Who in hell poisons Brussels Sprouts?
  4. I remember my brother commenting that he should have jumped out of the Bronco and ran on the grass.
  5. Maybe he was spelunking.
  6. It's not much of a collection of buzzwords without including 'custom tailored solutions', 'paradigm', or 'wheelhouse'.
  7. You got me there - I had forgotten about that.
  8. It probably would have moved more quickly.
  9. As is evidenced by the barrage of tabloid sensationalism that greets us at every checkout lane.
  10. As I remember it, Johnny Chocran is the one who brought up race as an issue in the OJ trial. Until then, it was treated in the media exactly as you describe it - a celebrity murder trial.
  11. That's government for you. There's a lot of things I don't allow on my floor. I just don't feel a need to have to post a list.
  12. So I take it you didn't grow up in a home with a cuspidor and tobacco?
  13. That's actually an excellent analogy. It's all dumbed-down and bland so it will appeal to the broadest tastes, and packaged & presented to make an impression visually while having little-to-no substance. I've been a musician & songwriter for most of my life, and there's not much music that I actually listen to. Most of the time I prefer to make my own.
  14. What in the hell are you talking about? That's a really weak dodge, even for you.
  15. There's no need for you to go further because you can't go any further. You have to know what you're talking about in order to explain something, and you don't seem to know anything, so you don't ever explain a damn thing whenever you're pressed to do so. If that was ever in doubt, it was made crystal clear in the 'dangers of our new normal' thread, where you did nothing but avoid answering questions before ultimately running away.
  16. Don't be such a chud. Answer his question, for crying out loud.
  17. The funny thing here is that nobody's freedom of speech was infringed upon. The protestors had their free speech rights protected by the police, Ms Manhart was free to exercise her right to free speech, and the news organizations were free to report on it however they chose to do so. In fact, the police protected the protestors' free speech rights by detaining Manhart for attempting to disrupt their protest. People tend to forget that the right of free speech is there to protect people when expressing unpopular viewpoints, and desecration of the flag, although it angers many, is constitutionally protected expression.
  18. I just threw that out there because it was starting to remind me of the classic "it depends on what the meaning of 'is' is".

  20. Just for the record, take a look at what Merriam Webster says: Full Definition of FORBIDDEN 1 : not permitted or allowed 2 : not conforming to the usual selection principles —used of quantum phenomena <forbidden transition> <forbidden radiation> <forbidden spectral line> Maybe this will help to remove any ambiguity over word definitions. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/forbidden
  21. If you're going to compare marijuana with meth, you may as well also compare beer with liquid LSD.
  22. "I am a stranger and I do not know you or your departed. However, I saw the obit and wanted to express my condolences and to let you know that your sense of humor is wonderful," one person wrote. "Please know that we will not be voting for Hillary. Blessings to you and your family."
