  1. Has anyone noticed the start page for Mozilla Firefox lately? "What kind of information do you think the United States government should collect about you? Sort it out here, and get smart on surveillance." https://sendto.mozilla.org/page/content/surveillance-interstitial/?ref=20150414Advocacy_Surveil&utm_campaign=20150414Advocacy_Surveil&utm_source=firefox&utm_medium=snippet&sample_rate=0.1&snippet_name=5161
  2. So, he was a demonic prophet? An antiprophet? THE antiprophet?
  3. How to you fall on your head when you're lying on your belly?
  4. There's still some things that don't add up which could either help clear the police or help make a case against them. One thing that's not clear to me - I'm no doctor, but how in hell does someone whose hands a feet are bound get a broken neck from bouncing off the walls of a van? I could understand a fractured skull, but I don't get the broken neck.
  5. You may wish to wait before thanking anyone for their service - there's as much a chance that they're a bunch of bullies with badges as they are heroes. And I'm curious - what exactly have 'thugs and liberals' done to them, and what makes you think that none of them are liberals themselves?
  6. Up until now I wasn't curious if your boss was male or female.
  7. That's not any kind of victory for liberalism. You can make a case that much of Baltimore's problems are due to decades of democrat policies, but the idiots that are burning their drug store and the rest of the neighborhood aren't enjoying any kind of victory, they're simply victimizing themselves. That's not liberalism, it's anarchy.
  8. Texas is lowering the taxes here as well - the legislature is hashing out whether it will be reduced property taxes, reduced sales tax, or a combination of both. We don't have a state income tax.
  9. I haven't seen that one in years, but back in the day I used to watch it over & over because I could never remember how it ended.
  10. Hey chud-boy - if you're going to call people immature, you might want to do so with less snark and sarcasm. You'll still look like a fool, but at least you won't be a hypocritical fool.
  11. Your mistake was mentioning that you missed out on the topic in class because you were baked - an innocent, yet fatal mistake. Stoners are ill-received around here, despite that a considerable number of locals are ex-stoners. It's best to just avoid mentioning it altogether.
  12. I've heard similar accusations leveled against Disney, but never bought into them myself. As far as news is concerned, I don't really trust any news networks to give me truly unbiased news - everyone has a point of view, and some are pretty good at passing it off as being unbiased. I like to get my news from several sources, take the total, and kind of boil it all down. I get Al Jazeera America as part of my Uverse package, so I'll start tuning in and check it out for myself.
  13. I hate to admit it, but I was presuming a bias would be there based solely on the fact that the parent company is out of Qatar. What in hell did I say that gives you the idea that I'm outraged? Where did I even hint that Al Jazeera has any kind of influence at all? Review the thread - we were talking about perceived anti-Semitic and misogynistic biases at Al Jazeera America, so if you want to B word about Fox, then start a thread and rant away. On the other hand, if you're coming off the bench to fill in for gator, then you're doing an excellent job. Indeed.
  14. They have no connection whatsoever to the Al Jazeera that's funded by the Thani family in Qatar?
  15. That's what I've heard. I imagine someone around town has it on their menu, so I'm sure sooner or later curiosity will get the better of me.
  16. Austin. I've never been to Houston, except for having to catch connecting flights here & there. They sell Bison meat in my local grocery store, but I've never tried it. I'm trying to cut back on my red meat intake, and adding another to the list seems counter productive
  17. Where in Texas do you live?
  18. There's that pesky free speech again. There's so much of this kind of 'journalism' out there that your head would explode just sifting through it all. It's nonsensical and often just plain offensive, and I know you're not advocating silencing them, but we just have to take the bad with the good.
  19. I always top hot dogs with chili, mustard, and onions. Burgers are another matter - I'll put damn near anything on a burger, depending on what sounds good at the moment. Often times I'll eat a burger plain - just bread and meat. To me, if a burger is truly good, it will be delicious just as it is. I've lived in Texas since '89, and I have yet to see anyone put ketchup on a hot dog. That's as blasphemous as putting ketchup on a taco.
  20. Surely you're not suggesting that there might be cultural sexism or anti-Semitism within Al Jazeera?
  21. Ah, but the Koch brothers probably manufactured that paint.
  22. Please keep me in mind if you ever need an employee.
