  1. It's a classic. http://www.homestarrunner.com/trogdor.html CW
  2. Right, earning $5,000,000 over the next 5 years for naming rights would really reduce that percentage. Hell, even if it were $5,000,000/year, it still wouldn't move the percentage number very much. CW
  3. Yeah, I mentioned the book to my wife when they were saying, "This has never been done before!" Technically, they're right - it was just one person doing it before, and they weren't talking/living with a family of a different race. The book is also quite old, so readdressing it today is a worthy idea I think. CW
  4. Anyone watch this show on FX? Seems pretty interesting. For those who don't know, they take a white family and a black family and, using make-up, they switch races experience life like that. It's pretty interesting, although the black father is rather annoying as he tries to prove that everything is racism... Overall, seems like an interesting show. CW
  5. Good one!
  6. Well put. Then again, now adays people sign loans, papers, etc, without reading or understanding anything. Ralph's a dying breed. CW
  7. I'd like to see anyone here understand the entire CBA in 45 minutes. CW
  8. That's what I was afraid of. The commercial looked cool... CW
  9. Oh the irony of calling someone a retard, yet not using all of the words correctly yourself. Or are you going to go with the lame, "It's a typo!" explanation? CW
  10. Is it really that hard for people to post an actual link...? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2355537 CW
  11. I heard this movie was pretty bad. I wanted to see it as well, but we'll see what "real people" think of it.
  12. I think everyone should listen to what Birk has to say. The guy is smarter than 95% of the people on this board -- one of the few who could go get a real job outside of the NFL if he wanted, since he graduated from Harvard. He scored a 46 on the Wonderlic. He knows what he's talking about. I didn't get the impression that he was whining, crying, or looking at his personal situation all all to be honest with you. CW
  13. Interesting. Does that mean that video game makers (aside from EA) could use player names and likenesses in the games? The deal EA made was with the NFL and the NFLPA. CW
  14. I *HIGHLY* recommend Angies List: http://www.angieslist.com It's cheap, and then you KNOW that the person you're hiring is reputable. I used the list to hire contractors when I was finishing my basement last year and didn't have a single problem with anyone I hired. Even though my project is done now, I keep the membership for things like this - plumbing, HVAC, etc. CW
  15. I love Stop Stabbing Me. My wife thought it was lame. It's definately campy, but hey. Here's the site from the people who made it: http://www.amazingschlock.com/ They also made National Lampoon's Dorm Daze (havn't seen it yet, but it's on my list). Firefly is much better though. Also, a better DVD to add to your card would be: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BW7QW...&v=glance&n=130 You'll want to watch it after you're done with Firefly, trust me. CW
  16. My wife just finished taking a stats class for her MBA when she first saw the game, so the show was especially boring because she was giving me ALL of the math behind the game. All I remember is "expected value."
  17. Leif Larson, if I recall?
  18. We took a "Jack the Ripper" walking tour, and it was REALLY good. I don't remember who did the tour, but it was some guy who has written a book or two about the subject. Very knowledgable, great stories, and it was a great night to walk around London. Highly recommended. I'd recommend seeing the Crown Jewels as well, although you have to get there early before it gets crowded. We were one of the first people in, so were able to walk around them several times. Very cool. If you're into castles and stuff and have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket, I can highly recommend spending a night or two in Amberley Castle: http://www.amberleycastle.co.uk/ The dinners are *AMAZING,* the rooms are cool, there's only like 15-20 rooms in the whole grounds so it's peaceful. It was absolutely wonderful! Be sure to have some moeny on you to call them from the train station... We didn't know the number, so started walking and it wasn't fun.... CW
  19. I saw the show once late last year. All the models walking in with the money was the highlight. After that, you can turn it off. CW
  20. I did this last year for Rockpile and Campy, so will do it again since it was a pretty big success. (relatively speaking) As some may know, I have a bunch of Bills DVDs available to TSW members ( http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=9546 ). Well, if you want to donate to Rockpile, but want some Bills DVDs as well, here's a deal for you: If people want to contribute to Rockpile, but also want some DVDs, and are torn between the two, you can do both at once. Pick 4 DVDs for $25 (or 8 DVDs for $50), and all $25 (or $50) will go to Rockpile (ie: I'll eat the shipping costs and the media). I'm not sure what the deadline is for Rockpile, but I'm guessing it needs to be done in the next few weeks. You can either pay me directly via PayPal or check (see the thread linked above) and I'll send the money on to Rockpile at the end, or you can contact him for payment information and he can forward the DVD request to me after he receives your pledge. Either way works. If anyone's interested, PM me. CW
  21. Then apparantly you're in the wrong line of work - you need to be a scout.
  22. My mom plays the same numbers all the time for the NYS lotto - one ticket for (almost) every drawing. A week before my wedding (in '01), she was busy with wedding stuff and didn't buy a ticket. Her numbers came up, and one of my aunts got really excited and called my mom, only to find out she hadn't played it that time.... That kinda sucked CW
  23. Not to burst your bubble if you happen to win, but you can't do that... There's a yearly maximum you can put into each - 401(k) is around $14,000 (and I think it needs to be income from a job, you can't just open up your own account I don't think), and the IRA is less than $6,000... That won't put a big dent into your $1,000,000 requirement... http://beginnersinvest.about.com/cs/iras/a...ontribution.htm CW
  24. Based on the posts you've made now and in the past, I think this is definately the right move. It may not help him, but it's the best course of action for now. I wish you both the best.
  25. But... I thought the 31-49 record was because of Bledsoe?! Or is it the "cool" thing to just throw that number around about anyone we don't like? I think Shelton sucks! We're 31-49 with him!!! CUT HIM NOW!!!! CW
