  1. You can't compare taking something tangible with taking something intangible. If I use your internet connection, I'm not stopping you from using it. If I take your car, I AM stopping you from using it. Apples and oranges. And that's not even taking into consideration the fact that you're bombarding me with your radio waves. I never ASKED to be bombarded with your waves. CW
  2. You do realize that wireless networking signals are radio waves, don't you?
  3. Yes, the stat is meaningless, but it's meaningless when the DB haters say it too, so that's why I pointed it out As for the line, they had more than one injury. Plus an injury to their star runningback most of the season. And they still nearly made the playoffs. Nobody said DB was the best QB in the league, but he has gone 9-7 in back-to-back seasons so he's far from washed up. Ok, I'm done. CW
  4. Since people seem to like throwing DB's record out around here, let's look at their records as starters. Bledsoe: 23-25 = .479 Moulds: 60-68 = .469 And now to my battlecry: We've had the same crappy line throughout BOTH of their careers. CW
  5. I disagree about the blame thing - he took blame plenty of times. As for choking in big games... You could very well be talking about Moulds. How many playoff games did Moulds take us to in 10 years? And didn't he choke against the Dolphins, the game where he had over 200 yards receiving but a key fumble on the first play? Choking is a little tougher to see in a WR because they don't make as many decisions, but he was far from a perfect receiver his entire time here. CW
  6. Not necesarilly. The guy was CHARGED with a felony (hell, girls are being charged with a felony for leaving cardboard boxes with question marks on them in a few places around the city), but he hasn't been convicted yet. I havn't seen an article stating whether the case has been dropped or what the situation is though. Plus, that statute (probably) only affects Florida. It's a very murky situation at this point. Personally, if the signal is unlocked and you're accessing it from a public location (or your own home), I don't see how it can be a crime. It's no different than if someone has a radio transmitter and you hear the signal. Now if you're cracking encryption, that's a different story altogether. But I can guarantee that in that case, it was an unsecured wireless connection. Keep in mind that IANAL. CW
  7. I wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't AJ that posted it. I figured I should resume that fight with him though
  8. I think he said something like, "I gave all my kids Cowboys clothes cos I'm a Cowboy now, not a Buffalo Bill." It was along those lines. That's real classless to say something like that.
  9. That won't happen with Moulds, because EM is the one who basically demanded to be traded. Bledsoe was flat out cut after being told he couldn't have the starting job. And ball washing? That was to counteract the idiots who said, "Dru Bledslow sux!!11!11!! HE no play in NFL and retire cuz he sux!!111!!11!!! He's a STATUE!111!!!11!!!! HaahahHahHHaaaAAHHA!" The voice of reason simply said, "No, he led the team to a 9-7 record, he's far from washed up." And I hardly think DB dissed us. Moulds, on the other hand, did by saying "let me go, I don't want to play here!" CW
  10. In the middle of the night, how do you know it's only TP? They could be throwing molotov cocktails at my house for all I know! I demand justice!!! And come on, who doesn't know what a Super Mario Brothers box looks like???? Come on: http://www.qwantz.com/posterchild/ If a company used these as a marketing campaign, I bet nobody would be threatened with felonies in the name of "national security." And before anyone says, "Markters would have gotten proper permits," I'll counter with this: http://promomagazine.com/news/marketing_ne...city/index.html You trying to tell me that you'd be scared if, on April 1st, you saw a box wrapped up in shiny paper with a question mark on it? I think the average IQ in this country dropped about 30 points after 9/11.
  11. I think you're there for support of the living more than honoring the deceased. that's my take.
  12. I didn't see anyone calling what the cops did stupid -- what they're calling stupid is wanting to throw the book at these kids, even after finding out that it was harmless. The next thing you know, kids are going to get felony charges for TPing a house/tree, right? Also, this isn't really a "small town" -- it's a suburb of (I think) Cleveland. That's why I put it in quotes. CW
  13. Play a prank nowadays, and you could have a felony on your record! http://www.joystiq.com/2006/04/02/tiny-ohi...by-mario-prank/ Yes, "we live in different times now," uh huh. Whatever.
  14. I have nothing as good as your stories... But I'll throw mine in anyway This was at my last company (I got a new job last month). Anyway, the other two people in my group quit within a few months of each other (damn them.... Actually, I'm still friends with them but it DID suck for me ). The company hired a replacement. After the first couple of weeks, the guy wants to work 11am-7pm, and my (terrible) manager agrees. Keep in mind that I worked 6am-3pm, and the guy needed a lot of crosstraining on our environment. Anyway, after a few days his shift started becoming 11:30-6:30... And he'd frequently leave at 5pm or so on Fridays... To top it off, at least 2-3 times a week, he'd come in to work at 11:30 or so, then leave for lunch after about 10 minutes and not come back until 1:30 or so!!! WTF?! So while I was working 50 hour weeks, he was working 30-35 hours. Nice. Not the reason I left, but it was definately a contributing factor after living with that for 6 months. I guess I blame the "manager" more though. CW
  15. We traded down to grab Nate Clements and Travis Henry 5 years ago. Both players were starters (for awhile). Trading down doesn't necessarily mean that you won't get a good starter or two. CW
  16. Saw dozens of them flying around in Alaska a couple of years ago. Not sure if that counts though

  22. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...6237338-3700635 Can't tell if this is an April 1st joke or not... Added it to my cart and shipping is only $15! Didn't click the "submit order" button though. CW
  23. Our laws should be given latitude to change (after proper review and votes -- not purchased by lobbies, but that's another topic). However, the foundation of the ENTIRE COUNTRY should not, and civil liberties were one of the major reasons that this country exists today. You can't throw that away.
  24. Why not just treat your credit card like a debit card and have the best of both worlds?
  25. Doubtful. My wife (works part time for H&R Block) sees people who make $150,000-$300,000 who don't put a penny away in 401(k), IRAs, nothing, and they live paycheck to paycheck. Sad. Advice for college students: When you get your first real job, put 15% away in a 401(k) instantly. You'll be making more money than you made while in college, so if you sock it away before you even see it, you won't be able to miss it. If you're feeling really ambitious, raise the amount when you get a raise at your job. If you get a 5% raise, put an extra 3% in your 401(k). Compound interest is your friend, especially right out of school. CW
