  1. The Dennys in California were also practicing discrimination against black patrons in the early 90s. I worked for the company handling the claim forms, and there was some pretty bad things going on. Customers being told that the restaurant was "out of water," "We don't serve watermelons here," and other equally bad things. It was pretty disgusting. Of course, lots of the claim forms were lies from people who had never even entered Dennys before. As is the American Way, some people setup a scam where they sold you a story (the same one, over and over and over) for $20 so you could get in on the claim. Sad part is, I think that $20 was more than the claiments received (mainly due to the fraudulant claims because there was no way to guarantee that the person was lying without incurring a LOT of extra cost). Oh well... Because of that, I never go to Dennys anymore (it helps that their food sucks ). CW
  2. Lead UNIX Systems Engineer In English? I manage servers CW
  3. Well obviously you need to open one yourself!!!
  4. So you're saying becoming a Bills fan killed him....? My condolences - as mead said, Carpe Diem. CW
  5. People around here complained about Bledsoe fumbling? Culpepper fumbles twice as frequently. Culpepper also throws more interceptions. So yeah, he may have a good QB rating, but he is very erratic (which is what I said), and he wasn't very popular with Vikings fans. And you ignored the part aboput him not playing much this year. CW
  6. I took too long looking for the link, and you beat me to the punch with the Kotter comment. Oh well, at least I posted a link... CW
  7. I heard on the radio today that Ice Cube is going to star in a remake of Welcome Back Cotter... I kid you not. http://groups.google.com/group/alt.gossip....f9f4df12483df6e CW
  8. According to Vikes fans in my office, Culpepper isn't expected to even be able to play until halfway through the season... CW
  9. Culpepper is NOT a very good QB. He had a great season two years ago, but aside from that he's VERY erratic and makes a LOT of bad decisions (fumbles and INTs). People in Minnesota have complained about him since day one. Plus, talking to some of my coworkers today, they said that the reports are he won't be ready to play until halfway through the season. A QB who can't play until week 8? I'm not afraid of him this year at all. CW
  10. When MW played RT (and wasn't injured), he WAS a very good player. Watch the games. Unfortunately, he got injured quite a bit. CW
  11. Not sure i this is helpful or not, but here's a scan of a ticket from someone here who went to the game. It's autographed by Reich. http://www.fezam.com/GreatestComeback.tif The only other pics I have are screen captures from the game, which probably sin't helpful for you. http://www.fezam.com/gallery/view_album.ph...Comeback&page=1 CW
  12. Oh you got killed by the archer, how embarassing!
  13. Yeah, DTV in SD sucks, especially on a great display (to be fair, so does cable SD). Any plans on starting the basement? Or is it on hold indefinitely? Let me tell you, there's nothing like going into a dark room to watch a movie on a big screen with awesome sound. CW
  14. AD, I think you really missed the point of this thread.... Oh wait, you started it CW
  15. Just waiting for our favorite poster(s) to come in with, "His parents' igloo wasn't very expensive - it was made of snow!" or somesuch... CW
  16. Not watching the trailer (don't want to be spoiled), but does the title mean that this might be the last X-Men movie...?
  17. Very enlightening... "Sorry, the page you requested was not found. The story or page you were trying to access may have expired." CW
  18. I paid less than that for my entire HT setup (excluding chairs). Yeah, I got some great deals on some of the stuff, but still.... There's also no way that the picture looks that good with that much sunlight out there. CW
  19. Not really PPP. My wife runs a drug rehab place and I've heard tons of stories about the clients that leads me to believe that there's nothing good about it. Of course lots of people say "Alcohol is just as bad!" and they may be right (heard tons of stories about clients screwing up with that as well), but just because we legally allow one doesn't mean we should allow both IMHO. It's a slippery slope. CW
  20. I disagree with the first, but that's ok.
  21. So while people have entire pot farms on their property in Tennesse, the government is worrying about violent video games. Nice. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=42952 CW
  22. My favorite part with the black dad is that when he went into the golf shop as a white guy, and the employee came right up to him to help him out and even put his shoe on, that was because he was white and "getting respect.". When they were black and went into a store and the employees came up to help them, it was because they were black and the store was "checking them out."
  23. If you didn't see it yesterday, then you didn't see the right model. http://www.staremagazine.com/Issue.asp?Iss...138&ModelID=249 CW

  25. And if he gets hit and injured....? You'd want to run those plays in a very limited fashion.
