  1. You're thinking Roy Williams, not Mike Williams.

  3. That has got to be one of the funniest things I've seen on the ''net in the LONG time. Poor kid, I do feel bad for him, but his reaction was just priceless. CW

  8. I don't know anything about curling, so I can't really comment on that. But chess? I think it's safe to say that not many people could be a grand chess master, even if they had the interest/time. Your brain has to be wired a certain way, and not everyone is. Just because you're smart, doesn't mean you can succeed at everything (despite what they tell you in elementary school). CW
  9. Sorry to disappoint CW
  10. Someone's getting a little cocky today...
  11. Wow, am I the only one who has never played live? I usually play $10 sit-and-go tables, with an occasional $5 tourney thrown in for good measure. I actually placed 30th (out of about 750) in my first $5 tourney, and ended up winning $17. That was pretty cool CW
  12. You make stupid, idiotic, lameass posts.
  13. I wouldn't mind doing either one of those things. It'd be an interesting experience. Not something I'd seek out myself, but if someone else wanted to go, why not? CW
  14. I just started to play poker online, and it's pretty fun (especially when you win). Just wondering if anyone else here plays. If you play online, where? What types of games do you normally play? There's been some rumblings about some sort of TSW Poker tourney as well. Food for thought. I've been playing at Paradise Poker for the past few weeks. Amazingly enough, I've pretty much broken even - so learning how to play hasn't cost me a penny (yet) CW
  15. All afterwards... I'm not sure if the show was in HD or not either. If not, it would be crappy. CW
  16. Why? Because they funny cartoons that cause riots...? EDIT: Nevermind, it was a Danish person who drew the cartoons. Oh well, it was a lame joke regardless CW
  17. I do find it catchy, that's the problem. It's a pop song, and it sucks. Just sugar. "Wish You Were Here" was pretty awesome. I really liked Jordis, but I thought it was pretty obvious that INXS wanted a male lead singer. It was also pretty obvious from the third show that JD was going to win - the band was in love with him for some reason. I also hope that they get the great talent like last season. I also hope that they keep the standards up, showing us the great rockers. I don't want to see all of the failed auditions from wannabes. That's lame. CW
  18. I want to poke a sharp object in my eye every time I hear that stupid Trees song. CW

  20. I will say that I thought Rock Star was pretty good (although I hated JD). Unlike American Idol, the show focused on the TALENTED people, not the crappy William Hung types. Also, everyone on the show (as far as I remember) has really been singing professionally. For example, the girl who made it towards the end (Jordis) has been performing in a band around the Twin Cities for quite awhile. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/rock_star/performers/jordis/ At least these people have talent CW
  21. Good thing we never hear talk like that around here
