  1. I think Hue Jackson will be an excellent HC second time around. But the pool this time around is also pretty shallow. If anyone wanted to give Coughlin a look see, I don't think that'd be a bad idea.
  2. So how many seasons has Todd Bowles had with the Jets? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14446516/todd-bowles-poise-no-nonsense-approach-exactly-new-york-jets-need-nfl Look, I loved the Rex hire. LOVED IT! But about 5 weeks in when we were committing stupid penalties for no reason at all and it was costing us games, I knew we had a dunce for a coach. The only significant difference between the Jets and us are the coaches. They took our rejects (QB, OC etc) and built a playoff team. You need luck. No doubt of it. But I think luck favors the prepared. Right now this team is anything but prepared or placed in a position to win. I am sure Fitzy will break their hearts. But they'll have a shot at the SB. And that's all you can ask for. But their coach has substance. Inexperienced, sure. But he's gonna be a good one. Our orders of magnitude talented team is being fanned on the ego of someone who hasn't done anything of significance in 4 years at least. We make our own misfortune in Buffalo. C
  3. This win sucks. Doesn't help us in any way, shape or form.
  4. They probably already have Schwartz on speed dial. Dude is popular down here. That's their guy. Greggo has too much baggage.
  5. I didn't bold it. But I stand by my statement. If this team is disciplined we would have won the Giants game and possibly this game against Cincinnati. Winning the Patriots game would not have been beyond the realm of possibility. We were at home and a solid disciplined defense would have put solid pressure in Brady's face.
  6. That's what I think too. Whaley has his faults but finding talent deep in the draft or in other teams' roster - man, I don't know who else has done a better job of doing that? We just haven't had the HC to maximize talent. The one thing I'll say about Rex, he hired a great offensive staff. C
  7. I'd be shocked. Shocked if Mario Williams is on this team next year. It says here that he gets traded or cut in the offseason. Unless of course, he massively restructures.
  8. To complicate matters, I think Pegulas are going to be put in the position of choosing Whaley or Ryan *this* off season. I have a feeling that rumors of tension between coaching and GM are real.
  9. Clearly. My apologies. How should I use the term? An example?
  10. This team is undisciplined beyond belief. That's on Ryan. With minimal penalties this team is a championship competitor. I can't imagine the Pegulas putting up with this crap beyond a honeymoon year.
  11. Jerry Hughes needs to be suspended by the team for one game. Or at least not start.
  12. This team quit with 6 minutes to go. That's what happens when the D decides they can't win and can only cause stupid penalties.
  13. Also, Whaley has done a magnificent job putting this roster together, but we actually have some friggin'real coaches now. I don't think Darby's development would have been this rapid under previous coaching regimes.
  14. Really high. If Rambo doesn't kill him first...
  15. Really happy with a quality win over a quality opponent. That being said Jerry Hughes as good as he is is gonna cost us games with his boneheaded penalties. There was no reason for his personal foul on the QB. That could have gone really bad. This is a trademark of Ryan's teams, undisciplined stupid penalties. He should make it a point of emphasis with this staff this week. No way we get away with it next week against the Cheatriots** C
  16. I know. Someday. Maybe. If we eat all our veggies...#smh
  17. I'm a little concerned that this D is beginning to look a lot like Rex's previous Ds. Incredibly talented, gets after the quarterback and not very disciplined. Could be a recipe for disaster in critical moments. C
  18. Don't know if it's been mentioned. But it's a misdemeanor because the bodily harm was not severe enough. He avoided the felony charge on a technicality. http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2015/07/buffalo_bills_ol_coach_aaron_kromer_charged_with_battery_for_physical_altercatio.html
  19. On the Walton County Police Dept FB page: https://www.facebook.com/WaltonCountySheriff/photos/a.116730601492.107565.114456836492/10152863568136493/?type=1 I didn't think this was a great hire. Mostly because of of the trust that needs to exist between players and coaches. But I gave Rex the benefit of the doubt. I think this guy has some anger management issues. I was on his side until the whole "I'll kill your family" bit. Time to move on.
  20. I just read this, off Facebook. Fantastic insight. Great read. Of course, he doesn't mention the fact that he slept with his nanny, but you know he does seem wiser now.
