  1. As far as hotels in Nashville, the Hutton on West End is hard to beat. If you want to be smack dab in the heart of downtown and have the budget, the OMNI is just gorgeous. Lower budget options include Holiday Inn, Hampton near Vanderbilt.
  2. London, no question. But I live in Nashville and I have to say the Titans stadium is a beautiful, intimate venue. Have enjoyed everything I've seen here. Including a Bills game when they lost and Bud flipped them the Bird. Plus it's Music City and the probably one of the hottest towns in the country right now. C
  3. According to Tweet: https://twitter.com/FANtasyTandem/status/577106407004217345 According to Tim Graham, Dolphins have "moved on": http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-news/2015/3/14/8217057/charles-clay-buffalo-bills-miami-dolphins-nfl-free-agency-2015
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if we traded a player and picks in this year's draft for a shot at a potential #1 talent who may slip. The M.O. has changed at OBD.
  5. yeah, I think I understand that part. But aren't there benchmark dates? So for a vet, it's first day of the season. For a non vet, some specific week into the season? It just seems like paper facts until you actually keep the guy past your benchmark date. Also if you cut a guy, doesn't the balance of upfront money accelerate and hit your cap the year in question? Whereas if you don't it's just prorated over the period of the contract?
  6. None taken. I freely admit I don't understand it.
  7. It still amazes me that money can be not guaranteed and still count against your cap. Only in the NFL does that math make sense. I like the restructured deal. If I have the pre/post restructure numbers right, we cleared up $5 mil in cap room. Is that correct?
  8. They're finally getting coaches on this team to develop QBs. I like Palmer as long as he doesn't go above his pay grade. He is a great QB tutor but not much else. C
  9. La Cantfora...still amazed there is pro football.
  10. Great then come participate in a thread that now has 10 pages. The community obviously thinks this is worth discussing...again. And apparently much to your chagrin. Just quit your whining....Sheesh.
  11. It merit's discussion. The topic is very clearly denoted. Don't want to discuss? Don't open this thread. To say the guy was a bad seed here and that's why the Bills traded him - is overly simplistic. It puts the entire onus on the player per behavior. What about the organizational dysfunction that contributed to his lack of production and eventual trade? Hell, what about the state of the team? The Lynch trade was symptomatic of a bigger issue. I'm interested in what folks think about the complete picture. Maybe we can constructively look at what can make this organization and team better going forward by looking at the mistakes of the past. The truth hurts sometimes. But doesn't mean we shouldn't examine what went wrong for a player I believe who has easily been in the top 5 maybe even 3 of RBs in the last 3 years. He was incredible in college (hence the Bills drafting him) and now incredible in Seattle (their FO wanting him). He didn't do so great here. He certainly shares the blame for off the field shenanigans. But so does this organization...on and off the field. I'm glad Littman is gone. Maybe that's the start of a new era... C
  12. I think the quote was "we wanted a jitterbug..." I love CJ and Fred as people. But be careful what you wish for...
  13. Yet when the alarm was raised here, how many on this board and elsewhere - in spite of the terrible track record of the front office - said, "shut up - they scout. They know what they're doing..." Crazy, how many people went along with the insanity. Blind loyalty is just - well - blind. Now that the collective fear of the Bills moving has faded, maybe we'll hold this organization more accountable in their personnel and strategic decisions. C
  14. This to me is the central issue. What we lacked was someone or a front office team that knew how to handle the situation of Marshawn's discontent. The problem is culture. Look at Carroll's and Belichick's institutional/team culture. The Bills sucked at this. Hopefully we turn the corner now. I'm frustrated that the FO didn't manage the situation well. But I'm even more angry that they didn't get above market value for him. Especially given how often the Seattle GM was calling the Bills for a trade. This all spoke to out of touch GM and an administration that was content to keep the status quo going in spite of the lack of success. Sure,we changed coaching staff, but the lunatics still ran the asylum. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/12/13/pete-carroll-badly-wanted-to-pry-his-lynch-pin-from-buffalo-bills C
  15. For a box of tape? The dude single handed put the Seahawks on his back today. Beast mode indeed...
  16. he just cancelled that interview. He's gonna wait & see what happens w Kubiak. Per Schefter: https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/556185458297032705
  17. Follow my handle @musiccharles at former Titans players like Frank Wycheck and Blaine Bishop are worked up about Adam Schefter's Music City Miracle piece. Discussing right now. http://bit.ly/1IyxXNn
  18. Bears should hire Fox. But what does the Fox say? If they hire Marrone over Fox, the Bears deserve to suffer...It's a no brainer. If Fox was available when we were searching, he would have gone to the top of my list. My only concern would have been is health.
  19. The only down side is David Lee may stay as Jets QB coach...
  20. I wish Chan the very best. Good man. Just not HC material IMHO. But I hope our new look Bills crush them Jets ;-)
  21. Good post, John. I wish Schwartz well. He wants a HC gig and it's hard to do that in Ryan's shadow.
  22. Schwartz wants a head coaching gig. Hard to do that when even if he is the DC - the credit will be to Ryan's defense.
