  1. The troubling nuance to this loss is the one that hasn't been mentioned yet. Yes we did get it to within 5 and then 8 with masterful QB play by Tyrod. Then what? We got the football and on the first play, Tyrod chokes and throws a pick. Game over. When we really needed him to come through ... That's why to me its just a loss. No brownie points for getting close.
  2. The guy that Trent Dilfer beat out?
  3. I'd rather see if we can work a trade for Mettenberger.
  4. Yahoo also had instructions on how to watch it on TIVO which were totally screwed up. Told me to select things that weren't even there.
  5. I think "garbage time" is garbage.
  6. Not so sure the Bengals are a good model. They haven't won a playoff game since 1991 I think it is. Longer than us. They have made the playoffs the last 5 years though which I can't scoff at.
  7. We still lost. It was too little too late. What EJ did vs Cincy and what Hotrod did vs Patsies** both count as losses. If you're good with that, cool. I guess we have to say that Hotrod got us a prettier loss for whatever good that is. Really though, they were both victims of a horrible D performance in these 2 games. Whose choice was it to run in the 4th vs Cincy? I'm sure EJ was audibling out of for sure pass plays and into runs. Is that what you're saying? I'm not saying Hotrod is bad and EJ is good. I'm just saying neither of them were able to get it done in the games in discussion. Losing by 13 and losing by 8 are both losing no matter how you slice it.
  8. Yes, but the first couple of TDs until we got to where we could win (but didn't) were garbage time until we got to 8 back and the Patsies** started playing D again. Really liked the way TT tomahawked the football out of Tommy's hand. That was sweet.
  9. Except we didn't win. How many in the W column do we get for bringing "us to a point where we could win"?
  10. Consequently, they don't count. Yet, all the Hotrod Taylor completions late in the Patsies* game (which was too little too late) do. That's just how TBD works. You should know that by now Hondo.
  11. I didn't watch the whole game. I was going by what other posters said. My mistake if its not true.
  12. Cobblers children have no shoes. Ever heard that one? Means that what you do for your paid gig is not something you want to do on your own time. I'm a Web Programmer and I don't want to screw around with computer stuff when I'm not working. Least of all to watch a football game that normally I just turn the TV on to watch. Add to that that I usually TIVO the game and watch it a little later so as to fast forward through commercials which I won't be able to do. So, I can see his point.
  13. Funny, 3 TDs last week with 2 called back doesn't sound like a QB problem to me.
  14. Maybe we have a penalty problem, not a QB problem?
  15. I would love a pay per game system so I could just pay for the Bills game when they aren't on regular TV (not very often here). However, everything they've come out with to watch games has been a buy everything model. I'd be surprised if that changes. No way NFL is going to do anything to make it cheaper for you. If anything it'll be like NFL Ticket, only stream it instead. Not sure how that jives with DTV's exclusivity arrangement.
  16. That and he had the new fangled injection in his hip during training camp.
  17. I agree. I really don't see a dimes worth of difference between the two. Sure, Tryrod's got the running thing, but in effectiveness they are about even IMHO. Compare their days vs NYG and the Bungles as a case in point. Totally agree with this too. No way the Bills let a guy suck for 2 or 3 years and hang with him and give him a HUGE extension. Same goes for Russell Wilson. Coach Gailey would have tried to shoehorn him into doing what Fitz did and I don't think he would have been nearly as effective as he is Seattle. Plus he wouldn't have had a monster D to keep him in games.
  18. I support Bernie as well and I know what is meant by democratic socialism too. So now birddog is officially part of the ones.
  19. I'll do what I always do. If I don't like either major party candidate then I'll vote for a 3rd party candidate. You can't complain about the 2 party system if you always vote for one of them.
  20. This cat may be onto something. I've been to London 3 times and the jet lag is a real thing. It took me 3 days or so to get in the swing of things. I was a couple of decades older then these guys and didn't get to take a nonstop charter, but still. Flying in on Friday sounds nuts to me.
  21. Good for you Sammy. Keep up the good work!
  22. I didn't like Coach Marrone at all. I hated it when he hired him. However, until some other coach gets us to 9 or more wins in a season, he and Mike Mukarkey will be King of the Hill in regards to coaches sine Wade Philips left.
  23. I took it to mean he doesn't know where he is, just like he said.
