I have uverse. I make a yearly call, tell them I'm thinking about leaving, and then they will transfer me to the customer retention person who will offer me "the best price she can".
You gotta make sure to tell them that you're considering leaving. Until I said those magic words, they wouldn't transfer me to customer retention. Even though I specifically asked to talk to someone in customer retention.
Same call as my direct TV friends make, it's just to att instead.
