Once weed cures cancer, stops global warming, and saves the economy you guys will feel stupid about not supporting it.

He tried, but there was a tough looking 6 year old that wouldn't give up his favorite pony. And after assessing his options Obama went with the alphabet rug. The boy's parents are now being audited.

As soon as I'm done weighing my options there is a good chance I will have determined that this administration's incompetence has crossed the line and I might just shake my head at it.

Stop Michael Sam from Playing in the NFL
Joe Miner replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You can just send a PM to JA. You don't have to start a thread on every real or perceived slight against gays. -
He's turned himself into a household name when the vast majority of people would have never known who he was. His professional football career was/is iffy at best. But now he's got his 15 minutes in the spotlight. With the right agent/manager he stands to possibly turn himself into a public figure. Speaking tours, book deals, interviews, etc... He's got his 15 minutes and lots of possibilities to capitalize on it. This was gonna come out, might as well be smart and make a profit off of it.

Well we can pick nits about what late round means, but I tend to go with anything 4th round or later. To me he had a better chance of going undrafted than he did going in the first couple of rounds. I only saw a few Missouri games this year and he didn't do much to wow me. I was surprised at his SEC honors. But MU does play in the weaker half of the SEC. I actually liked his teammate Ealy better than him. If he can't play special teams I don't think he'll have a very long professional career.

He was late round to potentially borderline before the Combine, but that hasn't stopped him from being a lead story with hourly updates. It was a money move on his part, and it'll likely pay some dividends, although doubtful as much as he had hoped. The story always gets more publicity than the workouts. The NFL is just happy it has a feelgood story this year instead of a dead fake girlfriend again.

But both those two have advanced their career past Heroes. I don't think they'll be the ones making cameos.

Is not like Russ is brand new to the organization. He could have known these guys were problems when he took the job. It's possible he thought he could get change them, but hasn't found success with the direct approach, and doesn't have the power to let them go on his own. No matter the source, I wouldn't expect sudden changes. Even if Russ agrees, and has the go ahead from Ralph, he can't just fire them like this. Best you can hope for is a Nix/Whaley passing of the torch situation in my opinion.

Likely no Skylar, and no cheerleader. I wouldn't mind a reboot though. Take it slow. Build some solid characters. Don't mess around with time travel or God characters.

I think biggest bust potential is Clowney. Not saying he'll be a bust, but he's got tons of potential and some serious red flags. One interesting thing I keep seeing in his highlight reel is the number of great plays he made when he was totally unblocked . I like the look of Evans, but most receivers, even those drafted in round 1, don't make an immediate impact. If we take him at 9, and he's a part time receiver with 30 catches next year, people will be shouting from the rooftops about him being a bust. I wouldn't be surprised if they take him. He's got the measurable that gm's love, and how many guys have we recently drafted in a large part due to measurables? How many times did we hear last year, "you can't teach speed"? Will we be hearing" you can't teach size" this year? But look at the number of can't miss tackles that have been drafted in the top 10. A large number of those guys end up as busts too. Same thing with highly drafted LB's. No such thing as a can't miss guy. I wouldn't mind picking up a potential #1 receiver in this draft. We haven't had a true #1 guy since Moulds. I don't count Stevie or Lee as true #1's. You gotta take a chance on someone. And no matter who it is there will be a line of people ready to say, "I told you so" should they struggle. There will be plenty of great players there at the Bills pick. Let's just make sure we get one.

Setting up the Global Warming lies to come

So apparently we're adding analogies to the list of things you don't understand. -
Is your seat in the front or the back of the bus?

I know. But I'm betting that the prison population still lags behind the rest of the population in terms of ged or hs diplomas. I'm suggesting we start by making real inroads on getting as many people up to the same minimum level of education that we provide the rest of society. That's at least a level that people can't argue about unfair treatment since it's a level provided to everyone.
-
Why don't we start by just making sure the prison population is just as literate as the rest of society? Then we can work on getting GED's. Why are we so worried about MBA's when the 99.9% of the prison population will never get one? Baby steps.

Obama Weighs in on Redskins Name

I believe the earliest recorded usage of the term redskin comes from Indians themselves. -
Maybe Mischonne can nut up and teach Carl to be a man. Or at least give him the ass whoopin he deserves.
