By the time most of you read this
The Cincinnati Kid replied to twist_to_open's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in college and we are having our annual 40 Keg Pig Roast on Saturday. I am sure I'll be able to watch, but not sure I'll be able to remember. Someone call me, I bet I'll be able to make you laugh! Soberly I think we should trade the 11th for Chad Johnson. Peace -
Bob Matthews Article on Chad Johnson
The Cincinnati Kid replied to swede316's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have Chad any day of the week. The guy can flat out play and he usually brings with him positive media attention. He almost single handedly put the Bengals back on the map with his fun-loving and carefree antics. He might be disgruntled at the moment, but I really think that CJ in a Bills uniform would be excellent for the club and for revenue line. I would give up the no. 11 for him straight up...hes that good. I would try for CJ and a 5th for No. 11 but I wouldnt cry if they wouldnt do it. I say bring him and and let JP and Trent battle it out in July and August with some talent at the WR position. -
Nice knowing ya, Bryant Gumbel

I cannot stand Phil Simms. He is an arrogant idiot. I can't believe that he is the No. 1 for CBS. It makes me glad the Bills are a 2nd or 3rd tier team sometimes when I am forced to listen to Simms. He should be shown the door too, IMO. -
Draft only offense; QBs and RBs
The Cincinnati Kid replied to RLflutie7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we would lose a lot of games with your plan. The best way to draft is to take the best player at the highest position of need. For instance, our highest position of need is probably WR, so when its our pick we should take a WR. In the second round we would address the next highest position of need, perhaps TE. Thats how I would draft. -
I like the newest Draft Tek Sim

Dont like Ikegwuonu becuase of his rap sheet. I dont like DE in the first round either. Other than those two things it looks good. -
So what do you get for your money (or draft pick).

Thats interesting man. Cool idea. -
Maybe a stupid question
The Cincinnati Kid replied to IUBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that is more coincidence than money-for-draft-pick trade. They didnt call the Broncos and say we'll give 2.3 million for your fifth round pick... -
If we take one its gonna be in either the sixth or seventh. Ko and Dante are beasts...we dont need to be drafting a career back-up (at least while he is in Buffalo) in the third round.

I have a problem with Pittman...she is thief. Anyway, the word from Marv that he is not taking a fullback was great news. I dont understand all the hype about a guy who was only good enough to start on Rutgers (who were not anything worth watching until last year) for only a year. If we really want a guy from Rutgers, lets wait a year and grab up the real running threat from that University Ray Rice. I dont want some fullback hybrid that works hard. He is a great guy and tough guy but he isnt worth a second or even a third round pick IMO.

Maybe a stupid question
The Cincinnati Kid replied to IUBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like that has been outlawed within the last few, say 5 years, but I could be totally wrong. I know that baseball teams do it all the time. -
Whaddya think of this mock
The Cincinnati Kid replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont want anything to do with Pittman. He is a cancer waiting to happen. I would like to see Tanard Jackson from SU, and Jon Beason would be a good fit as well. Quincy Black seems alright also. I am a Tony Hunt and Kenny Irons fan. I just really dont want Pittman. -
Idaho St. QB Matt Gutierrez
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've heard he is a classy guy too. I think we need to get a third QB but I dont think that is a position where we need to be spending draft picks. We got a few guys in NFLE and there will be plenty of guys who are undrafted that will have appealing skills in the film room, which is the only place a third QB needs to excel. -
I hate Pittman, as some of you may know. I like Irons, but I think Rice would be a real nice rd. 2 pick. Lots of upside...although I dont see us taking a WR on day one.

Pos as fast or faster than Willis?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would overall have to agree with the theory that Puz is as fast or faster than Willis in a 60-70 play game. I have for a long time not placed an emphasis on 40 times because sometimes guys are just football players. Period. If a guy can play then a guy can play. I am a Puz fan, and hope the Bills go that direction in round one. I say this because he is one of the all-time leading tacklers at Penn St. which is sometimes referred to as Linebacker U. What does that mean? To me it means the kid can play football. I really think that we would very well off for a long time with either guy, but to me Puz seems more likely to be a sure thing than Willis. Thats just my two cents. -
32 killed in Va. Tech shootings
The Cincinnati Kid replied to stuckincincy's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Can you believe what happened today at VT? 32 people dead and somewhere around 15 injured in a shooting that started early this morning in a dorm and moved to an academic building. Worst school shooting in the history of the US. Its so sad, that campus is going to have a hard time recovering. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/16/us/16cnd...irginiashooting -
I was just watching some highlights and thinking about which combo of uniforms I like best for the Bills. I own a custom away jersey with my name on the back, and so that is my pick. I am also a big fan of the blue top with the white pants...i dont really like the all blue that they wear at home a lot.

The only guy we move up for is Willis from Ole Miss, but I think that the likelyhood of us trading down is much greater than us trading up into the top 10. The fact is that if DJ and Marv really want to RBBC then we do not need or want a guy like Peterson. I believe that should he be there at 12 we certainly take him because of the skills he has, but we arent moving to get him. We'll stand firm at 12 unless someone gives us an outrageous offer to move back into the late teens or early 20s.
-
I would also like the trade down but I do realize the unlikelyhood of it. I am a PUZ fan. I think that kid is going to be a pro bowl payer for years in the NFL and why not do it for the BILLS? I just feel like Willis is more of a freak athlete than great middle linebacker. I feel that sometimes people place too much emphasis on the 40 time and the vertical jump and other semi-important tests. Puz is a flat out great LB from Linebacker U and I do not see any risks in taking him at 12 but I would prefer it be later like 18ish. Plus if we trade down and get more picks we could have like 5 or 6 first day picks...NICE!

Oh sorry I must have missed those threads. Thanks

I am going to have to agree with Pepsi. Herm Edwards hit the nail on the head Firstngoal: "You play to win the game!" A losing attitude is not an attitude you want to have. Losing records get people fired and cut. We can win now and we should. There is never a reason to lose games. Thats why the NBA is failing. Teams lose to get more lottery numbers so they can win the first pick in the draft. Picking first is wonderful if you draw it from a hat, but when you win it by losing it sucks. I would much rather be picking the 20s or 30s every year like the Pats than picking first once, even when a dynamic player like McFadden might be involved.

Optimism for our young defense
The Cincinnati Kid replied to sarmanuscg07's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Youboty can play. McCargo can play is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. IMO Our D is gonna be pretty soild. I can see our starting secondary of Youboty, McGee, Whitner and Simpson being one of the best in the league maybe this year but certainly in a year or two. Our DEs work great together and are olny getting better. Our LBs are a small concern. We know we are drafting one in the first or second round, and we are going to have to trust the GM and HC that the guy they take can jump in start right now. Marv and Co. know they need an LB that can start right now so I am not worried about it. The DT that everyone says we need, to me is bogus. We got Tripplett, McCargo, Williams, that guy from Philly, and Anderson (who is not too good, but we got him). Thats four and half...maybe we take a guy in the later rounds and let him and Anderson fight for a roster spot. Also there is Hargrove who kinda played both DT and DE for us. I like where are D is going. I like where are offense is going too once we grad up Tony Hunt from PSU..or I guess Kenny Irons from Auburn. -
Updated mock from NFL DraftGuys

I could do without Pittman and Ginn and Troy Smith...the Cleveland Thieves -

What if Al Wilson gets healthy and is cleared to play? Would he be a guy the Bills would like to bring in if we decide not to take Willis or if he is already taken?
