I like the idea Pepsi. I think that would be really good for the Bills backfield and JP. Wolfe and either Hunt or Irons could be a potent backfield with the A-Train there to clean up any mess and providing insurance.

I still like Tony Hunt. He is bigger and played better competition in the Big 10. Wolfe seems like he could be a good addition to the Bills in the later rounds though Pepsi.

Youboty is most likely ready
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Billsvet, I see what you are saying, but thats the facts about football man. If you have special teams unit they are just like the offense. They need to be in camp and learning all of the responsibilities of thier position on the specialties units. If you are not there to learn and someone else is and they are doing a fine job with no reason to pull them, they are not going to be pulled in favor of a guy who missed the learning period. Youboty didnt learn so he didnt play. It is a simple as that. Contrary to popular believe there is so much more that goes into a special teams play than running as fast you can. There are plays both on coverage and on returns. There are strategies involved to make sure your best cover guy can be unblocked to make the tackle, there are strategies in the return game also. There is a special teams play book. The guy didnt play because of specialties. Guys like Greer, Thomas, Stamer, Haggan, Davis, etc are the reason he didnt dress. They were on the unit in week one and there was no reason to pull them. They were the special teams starters and Youboty was a special teams back-up. I cannot remember for sure but I am willing to bet that when Youboty dressed and played on the specialties someone on the specialties was banged up to the point where the coaches thought Youboty would be more effective, and once whoever he was filling in for was back to heathy, Youboty was benched because he was not a special teams starter. It has nothing to do with talent. Plus, maybe he is not a good special teamer. I assure you that I am not blowing smoke. I understand that a guy with as much talent as Youboty not dressing because of special teams is hard to grasp for some people but its the truth. There is no two ways about it. A third or fourth corner must be a special teams starter, and if that guy is not good enough for specialties, or if he missed the learning curve for specialties then he isnt going to play on Sundays. Special teams can change a game so fast that you must have a cohesive and coherent group that plays together week in and week out. That is why Youboty didnt play. Not becuase of any lack of talent. http://www.geocities.com/thekickinggame/ -
Ted Ginn could be slipping a bit
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ten Ginn is also a thief in addition to being a glorified punt returner. This is my post in another thread about Ginn Pittman and Smith from OSU: They are from Cleveland and went back to sign autographs. Those three jerks were asking for $50 cash per item signed at a local sports shop. So $100 would get you two things signed. What charity was the money going to you ask? Thier personal bank accounts. That is so shallow. These three dipsh-ts are going to be millionaires at 22 years old and they have to pull that crap? I hope all three are busts. -

Youboty is most likely ready

Here is my opinion, backed up with some knowledge... The reason he wasnt dressing is because of special teams and not his abilities on defense. Being a third or fouth corner you have to play special teams, but just like the offense or the defense, Special Teams is a unit and the more often you put the same people out there together on coverage teams or return teams the more time things go well. Youboty didnt play because at the start of the year when he was not ready due to missing camp for a very good but upsetting reason, he was unable to break into the special teams line-up and therefore he couldnt dress. It never was a question about his defensive abilities it was mostly about cohesion on Specialties. By the way...did you back it up with something? -
Pittman is a thief and I will never root for him. He is a jerk and an idiot. I would never cheer for Pittman is the Bills drafted him. Ever.

Which Bills player parties hardest?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I work at Champps bar in Rochester and last Training Camp the day Whitner signed he came in with McCargo Simpson and Eric Bassey to have something to eat and drink a few. They were cool and signed some autographs and Whitner wanted to get a signed jersey of his framed and put on the wall. They also were looking for directions to a couple of clubs downtown. -
What is the supplemental draft? I have heard of it before but I have no clue what it is...anyone with some knowledge?

Tony Hunt's highlights via Youtube.

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...b/tonyhunt.html Tony Hunt is bigger and ran for way more yards and 11 more tds than Jackson...the stats dont lie...
-
I know that people place so much emphasis on 40 times...but when was the last time you saw an NFL player in a game situation wearing a pair of shorts and a tee-shirt starting from a track stance and runnning 40yds as fast as possible in a straight line down an all-weather track? My point is just because a guy isnt the fastest dude at his position doesnt mean he cant play. Jarrett from USC...I hate the guy but he can freakin' play football and is IMO right behind Johnson as the #2 receiver in this draft...but he isnt as fast as Mecham so he is rated as not as good...if you take just the stats and multiply those by the intangibles like football smarts and instincts for the game then 40 times dont mean crap. I know you cant teach speed and that speed kills, but you cant teach a cut back either...some guys have it and some guys dont. I think T.Hunt is the back that can provide the most value when he is picked. I am hoping for Marv and Co. to use the second rd. 3 pick for Tony Hunt.
-
I still think Tony Hunt is the best guy to take in the middle rounds. Pittman is a thief and I would never cheer for that a-hole, and I think Lynch at 12 is the wrong pick...we need LB help first. Hunt or Kenny Irons. I dont know much about Jackson...and based on that I cant think he is very good.

Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State -- He's the type of linebacker you pencil in as a starter for 10 years and don't worry about that spot. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10097800 I want him.

Are the Bills really better or worse at this point?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We wont know till camp/preseason/opening day. I think that on paper we still have some holes to fill, but we have made some great moves. Getting Walker at DT is a plus becuase ends the thoughts of taking a 19 year old kid(too young to be in the NFL even if he did graduate from college) and Branch who by many accounts is in it for the pay check. Also, losing Willis to Balt. hurts the run game but helps the Locker Room...losing Fletcher hurts both. Adding the "American Beef" in front of JP was a good move. Dockery and Walker will start and be an upgrade espcially with McNally getting all they are worth out of them. I think that we will take either P. Willis of P. Pusluzny in Rd. 1 and either trade for Turner from SD or draft a RB in rd. 2 (just as long as its not that theif Pittman). I think we can address the 3rd qb role on day two as well as the desire for a better no. 2 WR(although I like peerless and why not Aiken?) I think that in the long run we are better off and I think that Marv and DJ have done some great things to move this team in the right direction after taking over a sinking ship that was abandoned by TD and MM/GW. I think we make the playoffs as a 5 or 6 seed and surprise some people doing it...like that prick Jay Bilas (GO XAVIER MUSKETEERS...how dare he diss my Muskies like that?) -
Chris Leak is a great option..so is Carson's kid brother...I think we have a guy in NFLE from Fordham i think...and Craig Ochs maybe from like Montana?
