  1. Read that story about D. Jackson. Hilarious. Learn to budget your money fool.
  2. I dont like telling the QB to "be careful with the Rock." I think one of a Quarterback's best assets is to be able to throw it where he initially deems it should go. Just like when taking a test, your first thought is usually your best option. If we give the mandate, then we are in turn creating a slower release, more time for the DBs to get into position and more sacks. Reacting is for defense. The Quarterback is the catalyst and needs to be the guy who presses the issue each and every day in practice and on gamedays.
  3. McIntyre would be the lead back. It was a separate thought separated by a "." and a new sentence. However, if you wanted to have both of them in an I formation in a short yardage situation and fake a dive to Fred as the fullback and then pitch to Spiller around the edge (ala Bledsoe to McGahee) then I am all for it.
  4. Oh and the whole thing about Jasper...he is on the team because he has obvious physical tools and potential...another guy that comes to mind is Rob Johnson, Trent Edwards, JP Losman, etc. Get off it. If he is someone that the coaches (who see him everyday in practice) believe can help this team he'd being doing it already. Like Chan says, "If it were that simple, we'd have done it already." I'm so sick of the Jasper crap.
  5. Spiller is not a bust because it is obvious he knows what football is and the general idea of the game. Maybin on the other hand does not know what football is and only understands that "there is a QB and I should try to side step people quickly and without getting touched because I am lighter than a feather."
  6. I think we need to do what we do. We can't play defense. We can't throw deep. We need to maximize what we can do. We can run the ball. We should. After we run the ball, we should play-action pass. This concept is totally missing in Chan's play calling. After we play action pass, we should run a screen. A tunnel screen, a tailback screen, a jailbreak screen, a tight end screen, a fullback screen, etc. Once we have done all that we should do it all over again. We should have Brad Smith on the field more because nobody knows what he can and cannot do in a Bills jersey. We should have Fred and Cj on the field together more. We should run a damn I formation. But I am sure Chan is on top of it. He is a good coach. He'll spend today and tomorrow reviewing himself and his play calls. I have confidence in this team and coaching staff.
  7. Im still a Fitzpatrick guy....Remember when Romo had a few bad games this year? Think they hated Brady after his 4 int day in BLo? So he didn't play well today or last Sunday, it happens. He is a professional and he'll bounce back. You gotta have faith in the the guys on your team.
  8. I thought it was great. Try telling your girl that if thing A happens then you will in turn do thing B. Have thing A happen under circumstances you didnt envision...You choose not to do thing B. How much trouble are you? Thats a really special moment for both of them. Get off it. These people are PEOPLE not just robots we watch on Sundays. They are REAL...
  9. I have no problem with her or anyone else reading to a classroom of children. Kids, especially little kids, really enjoy special guests visiting their classrooms. Like so many others have said, the kids don't care what she does or even know what it is.
  10. Id take collinsworth over simms any day.
  11. I dont see this anywhere...anybody have a link?
  12. From Chris Brown's Blog... Maybin is not a stud player in this league. This is why, from a guy who is around the team every single day. You can think what you'd like but those of us with football sense realize that while Maybin does have three sacks and three forced fumbles, they are not because he did anything great to make it happen. 2 - Hi chris The Bills considered Aaron Maybin a bust after two years, however he has been a productive player for the Jets this season. How and why did the Bills staff so seriously misjudge this player?? Go Bills Richard, Boca Raton, FL CB: I think it’s difficult for you to say the Bills misjudged Maybin. You fault the Bills for cutting him loose after two years, but you’ve decided he’s a playmaker after a few games? What has happened is Maybin is a pass rush specialist. He comes in on passing downs only and usually pursues from the back side. With other more respect pass rushing talent on the field with him (Calvin Pace) along with a strong inside linebacking duo, less attention is paid to Maybin allowing him to run plays down from behind. Personally I don’t think he’ll ever be more than a specialty player because he lacks football instincts. If he’s asked to read run-pass he struggles. In coverage he’s a liability. He tries hard and he hustles, but I still don’t think he’ll amount to much.
  13. I think its truly amazing that nearly all of our playmakers never had anything handed to them. In today's world where a 17 year old high school basketball player can be on the cover of SI and ESPN covers national signing day for recruits, this is amazing to me. This is why we are winning and will do so for a long time.
  14. I too think stevie has too much time on his hands...professional athlete, father of two young children...to have an instant of free time to think of a funny and easily done halloween costume is just absurd...Gosh, Get Back to the Film and Condition Steven! For goodness sakes!
  15. Really interesting post. Unfortunately the past does not mean as much in football. The turnover on our roster from just last year is significant. This is a new team. I like our chances to finish 10-6.
  16. I started a similar thread before the Giants game and the first poster said "There are 12 games left" and the thread died. SMH I think Fred should be the MVP or Peyton Manning. Go BILLS
  17. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. We are all saddened by the passing of this obviously wonderful person and football player. I remember hearing Jim Kelly talk about Kent Hull as his best friend and saw several pictures of the two together at Jim's hunting lodge in Elicotville. Every is talking about his character as a person before his accomplishments as a football player, and I think that is probably the way he'd want to be remembered. RIP Mr. Hull.
  18. You know, today's loss was tough, but I love the way this team plays. I am thinking we can win our home games as well. I think we can sweep both the Jets and the Fins because neither team is that good. I think the Jets are way overrated. We played the run well today and if we can do that going forward, especially against the Jets, we should be able to finish at least 10-6. GO BILLS
  19. Both Fred Jackson and Adrian Peterson entered the league in 2007, obviously Fred is little bit older, but they both came in during the same season. Fred has nearly 600 fewer carries than Peterson. That to me is nuts. Obviously, AP came in with expectation that he was going to be a workhorse and Fred did not, but I think this bodes well for Fred and the remaining years that he has left in the NFL. Yes he is 30, but obviously, as we all know, he does not have the same kind of miles on his tires as some other folks playing in his position. Just an interesting thing that I thought I would share.
  20. Aaron Curry to the Raiders.
  21. I was an 8-8 guy all off season. That said, I am now thinking 10-6 is very realistic. I am nervous about the Jeckyl and Hyde Giants and Cowboys both on the road as well as the Jets in NJ to close out a 3 game road trip. At San diego and at NE are going to be tough road games too. So, if we lose those five games and win the others (2 against Miami, Tenn, Jets at home, Den at home, and Washington in Toronto) we are 10 and 6.
  22. Yup. Here is the LINK. http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/flexible
