  1. I think the obvious choice is Levi. You don't draft a guy if you don't like what he has to offer, so Levi is the No. 3 QB. I don't know who the No. 3 WR will be, I was just listing the 6 guys I think will be on the final roster. The order they appear on the field is unknown to me.
  2. I don't think he is the Number 3 QB. WIth Chan's system and how he moves QBs, I think he'll have 3 true QBs dressed at every game. Levi, Thigpen and Fitz. Smith will be a #4 or #5 WR for this team. He'll be one of two deep guys on KO Returns and possibly one of two deep guys on PRs with Roscoe. Think about the reverse/throwback packages teams will have to account for with him and CJ or him and Roscoe on returns. It will absolutely make our Return game that much better. I say we get 4 kick or punt return TDs this year. We'll keep 6 WRs: Evans, Johnson, Roscoe, Smith, Nelson, and Jones or Easley. I think Jones will be the odd man out with Naaman, unfortunately. Smith makes us better because he is dynamic in many areas of the game. Its a really good signing. Offensive success in the NFL is driven by exceptional QBs, but on teams without Brady or a Manning, it comes from creating favorable matchups. CJ, Smith, Parrish, Evans, Johnson, Easley, and Nelson can do it if they're put in the right positions. I like what we have going on here on the offensive side of the ball.
  3. Knowing Hindsight, I am pretty sure he is fully aware of the expected results of this move. I feel as though he was just trying to point out that not everything goes as planned. Ocho's expectations are going to be similar Galloway's who was another aging speedster at the time of his arrival in NE. They'll play the games, and we'll see the results...the good, the bad and the ugly.
  4. ESPN annoys me. I watch it because I don't have NFLN. The second I do get NFLN Im off ESPN like I just found out she was HIV +. Schefter annoys me too. He talks like everyone out there is 6 years old. Some are, but they don't count.
  5. We just got out Brad Smith/Randel El! I love this move!!!!
  6. Maybe all those years on the West Coast for Buddy led him to a conversation or two with Billy Beane. Perhaps its a Sabermetrics approach to the NFL game that he is taking with the Bills. Extreme analysis of every scenario and impact of every play. Maybe he isn't as crazy as he seems, and maybe the difference between Poz and Sheppard is an average of 12 yards per game... Does that make a huge difference? I don't know. Read the Book..Moneyball by Michael Lewis. It'll change the way you watch sports.
  7. I dont think we should run anyone out of town. Poz was a good player for us. Its really too bad that he left.
  8. My heart sank when I heard the news. I really liked Poz. This one, more than any other FA leaving Buffalo in recent memory hurt me. He was the only one I really really wanted back.
  9. I think Fitz could get an extension if he plays well through the first month. If we beat NE he gets one the next day...I like Fitz. I think can be an above average QB for us for 5-7 years, but it won't happen that way unless he plays well in the first month of the season.
  10. I dont want to lose Poz. We can keep changing out players who are capable for players with potential. Also, does Maybin have to give some of the money he stole back to the Bills or the Season Ticket Holders?
  11. bills_red: are you sure about that? I thought it meant you already used your pick for that round that you selected a player in the supplemental draft. So if a player is taken in the 1st rd of a supplemental draft the team that did the drafting has already used their 1st round pick when the next draft arrives in April. Anyone know for sure?
  12. I dont think there is any difference between Orton and Fitz. Both are capable NFL QBs but neither will ever be a top 10 QB in this league. That said, Orton may have gotten more chances than Fitz because he played at Purdue rather than Harvard, but skill, smarts, and overall talent is pretty much the same. I like him as a Backup, but not for a draft pick. We need those. Personally, I like Levi as the #2 Qb, and possible successor to Fitz and ultimately Kelly. I think he has a lot of talent. The only reason he didn't make it out of Camp was because Chan and the guys were new to B-Lo and didnt want to get rid of the 3rd rounder made starter, the 7th rounder made spark-plug, and the 2nd rounder who had all the potential... You know?
  13. I attended the Bills game in Cincinnati last year and within the first 10 real-time minutes of the game a guy started shouting at my brother and I (i'm gonna F*** you two boys after the Bills get smoked....You'll be really F***ed! etc.) and my brother and I just laughed at him. After the third or fourth obscene sentence his wife took him away and they never returned to their seats. It was hilarious.
  14. Cool read. I agree with the author's point that the Top 100 list is stupid and a "who cares" type of thing. This is actually relevant. The fans are much more interested in who the worst players are, the "thieves" if you will. I noticed that a few of the guys on the list are guys that Bills fans on this board are calling for to come in a play RT for us. I was not sold on those ideas before reading this, and now I am 100% against Trueblood or Levi Brown for tackle. Thanks for posting.
  15. I dont understand why a team that is using 4 and 5 WR sets most of the time has fans DYING for a TE. Chan doesn't use one. So he won't go get one. Let it go.
  16. That Jay Leno Jaywalking was hilarious! Thanks for posting. As a history teacher, I am just gonna play this at the start of the school year and tell my students that they need to learn this stuff so they don't get laughed at by all of Leno's viewers!
  17. I got mine last night. I am excited about it. I like the style of it. Looks great for golfing.
  18. I don't think we should do anything but let Lee Evans be a WR for the Bills. To lose him would be crazy. He is too good of a player to just cast off. Maybe he isn't an elite WR but he is better than a lot of WRs in the NFL. I posted this question thinking that we would need to keep Evans, Parrish, Johnson, Easly, Nelson, and maybe Jones on the active Roster. that would leave a spot on the PS for Namaan if he is eligible.
  19. I love the idea. I was a huge JP supporter and I still am hopeful that he will be able to have a nice career in the NFL. He is a good guy if nothing else and what happened to him in Buffalo was not 100% his fault. As discussed there were some really poor decisions made while he was here. I do remember reading that JP was throwing with some of the Bills, but I believe it was in Buffalo prior to the players week long camp in WNY. He was visiting Lee I think. I posted the link somewhere after I read it on this board. I just went back to it and the site has taken the story down.
  20. Does Naaman qualify for the Practice Squad this season?
  21. I would live to see Drayton back in Buffalo. We have Mcge, Mckelvin, Williams ® and Corner right now. I think that getting Drayton back makes that position much stronger only because Corner is then our fifth cornerback. He is a very good Dime back, whereas without Drayton we have a young buck probably a UDFA in the Dime postion which makes its a weakness in my eyes. PLus, Mcgee hasn't stayed healthy lately. Just for depth purposes it makes a lot of sense.
