San Diego 2002 = Bills 2011
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Sanners's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The night is always darkest before the dawn. I think we'll turn this ship around. We can only go up from here. Hey, one more thing. We got Buddy Nix. -

Thank God. -
When you are picked 11th overall, you are supposed to be the talent around the other guys...see Peyton Manning.

Buffalo's Not So Special Teams
The Cincinnati Kid replied to sllib olaffub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
April, first off was not let go, he was not retained. After the 09 season, all coaches were told that they were free to pursue other opportunities. I have to agree with hindsight here. We had guys like Josh Stamer as our backup LBs. We drafted guys like John Wendling to be our backup safety when really he was a special teams toy. We never took anyone high who couldnt return kicks in some capacity. April had too much say over the roster, and I was not sad to see him go. -
Aaron Maybin only weighs 228lbs
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Chris in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched Maybin at practice last night too. I saw a guy getting blown up by Ed Wang and Mansfield Wrotto. I saw a guy who thinks making a play in piling onto a tackle that has been made by someone else. I saw a guy who has only one cheerleader (himself). I saw a guy who will be looking for work in about a month. Even if his salary is low and there is not much saving financially, the Bills would be crazy to keep him and release some other young OLB who actually has potential. Maybe just plain and simple is not worth a roster spot. -
Do we really need Lee Evans?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to playboy reese 2.0's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope you are wrong too. I am nearly 100% confident that he will be our starting WR along with several other WRs on opening day in KC. -
Moorman is still one of the better punters in the league and he is a tremendous person as well. Yesterday i watched him sign over 100 autographs for fans and he made sure he did not miss anyone. I know that is not criteria for keeping a guy on the team, but he is a stand-up guy and a good player. Lets just let him do his thing.

Aaron Maybin only weighs 228lbs
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Chris in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So my brother and I are at Training Camp today and he goes "Look at how big Maybin is..to bad he has no movement in his hips." My only reply: "Lets ask Shakira." -
Hopefully, we'll be able to get off the field/deny some goal line Tds this year...

I haven't been to practice yet, but I was wondering if CJ or Fred is the First RB during the reps/team portions of practice. Thanks guys!

2 Guys Completely Under The Radar
The Cincinnati Kid replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think those two are going to be contributors. Maybe Troup can do enough to kick KWillams outside where I think he is a more natural fit. I really like the way our D-line is looking on paper. We'll see come sept. 11. -
Brohm still locked out?

Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did it every game. Edwards, Fitz Brohm then Fitz Brohm Brown. Every single game. The only reason Brown didn't make the team out of camp was because Trent was a good practice player. The new coaches needed to see Trent in more live action. Brown was told that he'd be back if anything went wrong. Regardless of his job on game day, the last thing you want to happen, like it did to the Bills two seasons ago, is have your top two QBs go down in the same game. Remember when Fitz started, sprained an ankle, Edwards came in an Sprained an Ankle and then Fitz went back in? Brohm started the next week in ATL. Chan move his QBs around. Brad Smith was NOT brought in to be the 3rd QB. No way. He was brought in to be a play maker. He'll be a play maker. He will never be listed as the team's 3rd QB. -
Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the obvious choice is Levi. You don't draft a guy if you don't like what he has to offer, so Levi is the No. 3 QB. I don't know who the No. 3 WR will be, I was just listing the 6 guys I think will be on the final roster. The order they appear on the field is unknown to me. -
Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he is the Number 3 QB. WIth Chan's system and how he moves QBs, I think he'll have 3 true QBs dressed at every game. Levi, Thigpen and Fitz. Smith will be a #4 or #5 WR for this team. He'll be one of two deep guys on KO Returns and possibly one of two deep guys on PRs with Roscoe. Think about the reverse/throwback packages teams will have to account for with him and CJ or him and Roscoe on returns. It will absolutely make our Return game that much better. I say we get 4 kick or punt return TDs this year. We'll keep 6 WRs: Evans, Johnson, Roscoe, Smith, Nelson, and Jones or Easley. I think Jones will be the odd man out with Naaman, unfortunately. Smith makes us better because he is dynamic in many areas of the game. Its a really good signing. Offensive success in the NFL is driven by exceptional QBs, but on teams without Brady or a Manning, it comes from creating favorable matchups. CJ, Smith, Parrish, Evans, Johnson, Easley, and Nelson can do it if they're put in the right positions. I like what we have going on here on the offensive side of the ball. -
Ocho Cinco going to the Pats
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Bill Cowher's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knowing Hindsight, I am pretty sure he is fully aware of the expected results of this move. I feel as though he was just trying to point out that not everything goes as planned. Ocho's expectations are going to be similar Galloway's who was another aging speedster at the time of his arrival in NE. They'll play the games, and we'll see the results...the good, the bad and the ugly. -
ESPN annoys me. I watch it because I don't have NFLN. The second I do get NFLN Im off ESPN like I just found out she was HIV +. Schefter annoys me too. He talks like everyone out there is 6 years old. Some are, but they don't count.

We just got out Brad Smith/Randel El! I love this move!!!!

Buddy Nix Looking at Players other Teams Do NOT Want
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe all those years on the West Coast for Buddy led him to a conversation or two with Billy Beane. Perhaps its a Sabermetrics approach to the NFL game that he is taking with the Bills. Extreme analysis of every scenario and impact of every play. Maybe he isn't as crazy as he seems, and maybe the difference between Poz and Sheppard is an average of 12 yards per game... Does that make a huge difference? I don't know. Read the Book..Moneyball by Michael Lewis. It'll change the way you watch sports. -

I dont think we should run anyone out of town. Poz was a good player for us. Its really too bad that he left. -
