Fitzmagic Will get an extension
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Fitz could get an extension if he plays well through the first month. If we beat NE he gets one the next day...I like Fitz. I think can be an above average QB for us for 5-7 years, but it won't happen that way unless he plays well in the first month of the season. -
I dont want to lose Poz. We can keep changing out players who are capable for players with potential. Also, does Maybin have to give some of the money he stole back to the Bills or the Season Ticket Holders?
-
bills_red: are you sure about that? I thought it meant you already used your pick for that round that you selected a player in the supplemental draft. So if a player is taken in the 1st rd of a supplemental draft the team that did the drafting has already used their 1st round pick when the next draft arrives in April. Anyone know for sure?

I dont think there is any difference between Orton and Fitz. Both are capable NFL QBs but neither will ever be a top 10 QB in this league. That said, Orton may have gotten more chances than Fitz because he played at Purdue rather than Harvard, but skill, smarts, and overall talent is pretty much the same. I like him as a Backup, but not for a draft pick. We need those. Personally, I like Levi as the #2 Qb, and possible successor to Fitz and ultimately Kelly. I think he has a lot of talent. The only reason he didn't make it out of Camp was because Chan and the guys were new to B-Lo and didnt want to get rid of the 3rd rounder made starter, the 7th rounder made spark-plug, and the 2nd rounder who had all the potential... You know?

I attended the Bills game in Cincinnati last year and within the first 10 real-time minutes of the game a guy started shouting at my brother and I (i'm gonna F*** you two boys after the Bills get smoked....You'll be really F***ed! etc.) and my brother and I just laughed at him. After the third or fourth obscene sentence his wife took him away and they never returned to their seats. It was hilarious.

[closed]Maybin makes top 25 list
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cool read. I agree with the author's point that the Top 100 list is stupid and a "who cares" type of thing. This is actually relevant. The fans are much more interested in who the worst players are, the "thieves" if you will. I noticed that a few of the guys on the list are guys that Bills fans on this board are calling for to come in a play RT for us. I was not sold on those ideas before reading this, and now I am 100% against Trueblood or Levi Brown for tackle. Thanks for posting. -
Prisco's top 50 FAs...15. Paul Posluszny
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont understand why a team that is using 4 and 5 WR sets most of the time has fans DYING for a TE. Chan doesn't use one. So he won't go get one. Let it go. -
I got mine last night. I am excited about it. I like the style of it. Looks great for golfing.

I don't think we should do anything but let Lee Evans be a WR for the Bills. To lose him would be crazy. He is too good of a player to just cast off. Maybe he isn't an elite WR but he is better than a lot of WRs in the NFL. I posted this question thinking that we would need to keep Evans, Parrish, Johnson, Easly, Nelson, and maybe Jones on the active Roster. that would leave a spot on the PS for Namaan if he is eligible.

Here's A QB Question ?? In Lock out Mode !!
The Cincinnati Kid replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the idea. I was a huge JP supporter and I still am hopeful that he will be able to have a nice career in the NFL. He is a good guy if nothing else and what happened to him in Buffalo was not 100% his fault. As discussed there were some really poor decisions made while he was here. I do remember reading that JP was throwing with some of the Bills, but I believe it was in Buffalo prior to the players week long camp in WNY. He was visiting Lee I think. I posted the link somewhere after I read it on this board. I just went back to it and the site has taken the story down. -

Should the Bills re-sign Drayton Florence?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to mjt328's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would live to see Drayton back in Buffalo. We have Mcge, Mckelvin, Williams ® and Corner right now. I think that getting Drayton back makes that position much stronger only because Corner is then our fifth cornerback. He is a very good Dime back, whereas without Drayton we have a young buck probably a UDFA in the Dime postion which makes its a weakness in my eyes. PLus, Mcgee hasn't stayed healthy lately. Just for depth purposes it makes a lot of sense. -
Bills sell naming rights

The best name for a stadium has to be Great American Ballpark where the Cincinnati Reds play their home games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Ballpark -

I'll go with Eric Prydz's Call On Me -
Thanks for the write up. Good to hear things from him. I am 100% rooting for Fitz to improve on last year and really seize this team as him for the next several years. He is a good dude that the fans and players like/love. I know I want him to become a top 10-12 NFL QB this year and beyond (for Buffalo).

There are certain things that are just football. At this level, there are a lot of little things that the fans dont/wont know, but for the most part, lining up and running a post pattern is something every team does. Every team plays man and zone coverage, so the D can work on that. Linemen block, stuff the run, and rush the passer. They can work on those things. Technique is going to be a lot of what is done. You are right about the things that Dave W is going to want them to do, but that is a lot of real specific stuff, these "Team Workouts" led by players are going to focus a lot on the general aspects of football.

So, JP was there... http://www.wivb.com/dpp/sports/bills-players-begin-lockout-workouts

I was at a Bills preseaon game when I was prolly 13 or 14 and saw Ralph walk through the Jim Kelly Club. I was with my dad and he goes "Thats Ralph Wilson! Go ask for his autograph!" So, I went over and said "Mr Wilson, could I have you autograph?" I was ready with a pen and a Bills hat for him to sign. Without a word, and only a dismissive motion of his hand, Ralph just walked on by. I've had a bitter taste in my mouth about him ever since. That was prolly 2001-2002. I love the Bills more than anything, but that really sucked.

I like it. I hope they do some good work and really work hard together running drills and just being around each other doing football things. Its very exciting.
