I don't understand the assumption that Mike Pettine will want to be a HC. He's a good DC. That doesn't mean he wants to be a HC, nor does it mean he'd be a good HC. Quite frankly, I think he lacks some of the qualities necessary to be an effective HC.

Uh...teams and particularly owners don't want their best players to really play...there should be NO incentive to do so.

Injury prone? What a joke. Not smart enough to protect himself? DING DING DING. The Browns defense saw it on tape. And he didn't disappoint. If this is anything, let's hope it's a learning moment for our young QB.

It's actually not as front-loaded as the rumors might suggest (the home portion of the schedule). However, his 55 yarder with TONS of room to spare might indicate he's up for the challenge. It's just a matter of "putting it through the break." Or may be it's about finessing it and playing the break. WTF would I know? I'm no kicker. Anyways.

Exactly. Surprised that these plays happened and weren't called? Of course not, happens quite frequently. But--without question--these were NOT isolated incidents. So, surprised that these played happened and weren't called...and neither were the dozen or so OTHER plays just like them that also weren't called? Yeah. I kinda am. Then I consider it's a the Patriots* going against a (relatively) small market team, and as a fan of a small market team, it makes me sick.
