It comes down to the coaching staff if they believe they can turn him into a player. Honestly I don't think any QB is worth drafting until the 2nd. We have so many needs as it is I would go BPA. However, if we take Buddy at his word and he believes there are 2-3 Franchise QBs you have to take one. I think they go with the athlete with the most upside if their grades on QBs are similar. I am assuming Geno Smith is gone before we pick. I think Manuel can play in any offense and from reports is a smart person so I don't believe learning a new offense is all that big of a deterrent especially if he is going to sit for the year. Accuracy (career comp. %): Manuel - 66.9%, Barkley 64.1% and Nassib 60.3%.

If the Bills had the #1 Overall pick
billieve420 replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I go OT Eric Fisher we need strong o-line to protect Kolb. Move Glenn to RT and I think he becomes a pro bowl player. -
It is all one big game I am sure scouts are feeding misinformation to other teams as well. OBD has been on lockdown after the whole phone prank scandal. We signed Lawson and it flew under the radar. Kolb being in town was another thing that wasn't reported until late. I mean you have Mort saying he is hearing Nassib. You got Mcshay hearing it is Barkley. I think it is OBD putting those rumors out there and then come draft day surprise. Also, Manuel has been invited to the draft I assume his agent has some assurances he is getting picked if available.

I do believe the Bills are targeting QB with their first rd pick whether at #8 or trading back. I think all the Barkley and Nassib talk is a smokescreen. The Barkley comparison to Joe Montana at the luncheon was laughable. This is just my prediction but I think the real target is EJ Manuel. I think we can all agree that none of these QBs are finished products but they specifically singled out Manuel. Last year Buddy was selling that Glenn was a better fit at guard and after the first round finished, stated on Colin cowherd that Jonathan Martin was best player not drafted in the first. When given the choice to pick either player he went with Glenn. I think the upside with Manuel is too much to pass up on even if it means sitting him for the year. He is a better passer than Kapernick coming out and compares favorably in my opinion.

The game doesn't matter it is more about the practices. It is all a projection anyway. I don't think this draft has a clear first rounder. I think the value will be in the 2-3 round. Note Joe Flacco's performance a few years ago. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/1/26/3916512/super-bowl-2013-xlvii-ravens-joe-flacco

This is probably the best thing for Mario. Hopefully he gets pissed and wakes up before taking out all his frustrations on the guy lined up in front of him

Percy Harvin requests a trade
billieve420 replied to Billsrhody's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pass on Harvn the migraine issues would be enough to scare me off let alone all the off field issues. Guy is going to miss time and then you are stuck with the unknown trying to figure out when he can get back on the field. -
Rookie WRs usually take time to develop. I think they just need a guy to keep defenses honest. Hopefully, the coaching staff can get the kid up to speed quickly because we need either one of these guys to step up this year Easley, Graham, or Clowney.

Cut Kelsay right now so we can free #90.

Johnny Hammerstick's Mock Draft
billieve420 replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who is Johnny Hammerstick? I only pay attention to mock drafts from people who get paid to waste their time writing them. JK actually pretty good mock draft I could live with most of it. I think Vinny Curry may slide some due his combine and slow 40. I am hoping someone like Mercilus or Branch with a little more speed on the edge are available when we pick in the 2nd round. -
The Bills should go all in on Mario Williams. Houston's defense has played well in his absence and coming off a injury may not want to shell out top dollar to keep him. Obviously the Bills will have to overpay but is a no brainer in my opinion and fills our biggest need.

Make sure one of those LBs can cover a TE worth a damn. It is painful watching TEs running wide open constantly.

Standard offer it appears this year is $20 off for 6 months for a total savings of $120. I made my annual call to Retention stated that I would like to cancel the Ticket due to increasing costs and I could not afford to spend that much. They came out and offered $20 off for 6 months without any haggling. I probably could have gotten more if I pushed the envelope but it was a fair offer so I accepted.

I would like to see the 1st team offense put some points on the board. Every preseason we seem to struggle and it carries over to the regular season. In addition, I would like to see how the Defense plays without Merriman in the lineup and if can they can continue to build on last weeks performance.

Does the NFL want to eliminate kickoffs?
billieve420 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the way our special teams have been playing since Bobby April left maybe this isn't a bad thing. However, I can still envision Mckelvin attempting to bring it out and me screaming at my TV to take a knee fearing he may cost us another game. -
Lions just signed Stephen Tulloch to a 5 year deal. May help our chances in landing Barnett. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/31/lions-sign-stephen-tulloch/

Ok....let me ask this.....if Luck declares
billieve420 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Michael Lombardi at NFL.com is reporting that Carolina may stick with Clausen and not draft a QB next year. If Luck declares that probably wont prevent them from selecting him but they may be open to trading him for additional picks. If that becomes the case I would do whatever is necessary to grab him. Lee Evans and our #1 pick for the rights to Luck. I believe Steve Smith is a FA and their WR group needs a serious upgrade. AJ green and Lee Evans would be a good 1-2 combination. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81d6e4ed/article/playoff-field-set-but-some-teams-can-already-call-it-a-season?module=HP_cp2 -
ESPN reporting Gabbert received a 1st round grade from the NFL Advisory Committee. Scouts Inc. has him as their 20th overall prospect. It is not completely impossible for him to slide a little depending on which other QBs declare and how many are picked in the 1st round. No one thought Clausen would drop and he was considered a sure fire top 10 pick last year. http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/37118/gabberts-successor-not-necessarily-a-given

Curious how people would feel if the Bills tried something similar with Maybin and try to get the monkey off his back. Ideally this game should be an audition for players going into next year. If players can't cut it they need to be released next summer. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/columns/story?columnist=cimini_rich&id=5969869

We have been awful at drafting TEs the last couple of years. If anything look to grab a proven one in FA like Zach Miller or Owen Daniels. This draft should be primarily defense with the exception of a right tackle.

I want 1 more win this season against Mr. Perfect Tom Brady and the Pats. I think the curse will be lifted off this franchise once we finally beat them.

PLEASE come out Andrew Luck
billieve420 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I would be more scared if he decided to come out and the Bills had the #1 pick. The Bills would somehow manage to screw it up and surprise all the experts by bypassing Luck and picking another QB. We then get to enjoy another 10 yrs of misery courtesy of Ralph and his merry band of idiots. -
Damn it is almost lunch time and I just threw up in my mouth. Please tell me this is a long overdue April Fools joke.

Outside of the Starting 5 and Jamon Meredith there is no offensive linemen worth keeping either on the roster or the practice squad. I hope the Bills FO will take a long look at the waiver wire when cuts have been and bring in reinforcements. Last thing I need to see is Kirk Chambers making this team again. Any injuries and we are totally screwed.
