  1. His last day in studio was October 29th and his final show will air on Christmas Night.
  2. Wow, didn't know it went to a monthly.
  3. I gave up my subscription several years ago...the magazine was getting thinner by the week, the stories were dated and the cover photos, once the crown jewel of SI, were starting to look like the National Enquirer. All print media, newspapers, magazines, journals, etc. are going the way of the square wheel. I hate to see it, but it's just the way technology has evolved, or devolved, depending how you look at it.
  4. Yeah, that's really Pegula's style...
  5. Umm, yes. I have for the last 20 years. DTV use to be a fine company until ATT took over. I've been fortunate in that, in these 20 years, I've annually received ST at a reduced cost or free. I could be wrong, which is entirely possible, but I thought I read recently that the NFL can sell, or maintain, the streaming rights to ST starting in 2021.
  6. NFL/ATT will also enlist the help of the beer barons here. A main source of their revenue, bars, is hurting now and without the limited NFL/ATT "exclusive agreement," bars will further suffer. Bars have made Sunday afternoons relevant if you want to see your team's games. What was usually the slowest time of the week, bars have now become an integral conduit to your team's Sunday afternoon games...and what item do bars like to sell most? Not chicken wings but the high profit margin associated with alcohol, most notably beer. I have a friend who was very involved in this at one time; it was the beer barons that screamed to the NFL not to "open up" Sunday afternoon games to regular cable but keep it on a system that many folks can't/won't get (DTV). And when the NFL's big sponsors, here Big Beer, talk, the NFL listens.
  7. "When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us." M. Levy
  8. Still a band I put on regularly, saw them in 1979 in Hampton, VA
  9. Romo is the clear choice among today's analysts but us old timers remember the great Al DeRogatis, who teaming with Curt Gowdy, made a great pair during the AFL days and into the early 1970s. https://youtu.be/RW5GnZCxqIw?t=354 Another great color man, in the NFL, was Tom Brookshier. Teaming with Pat Summerall, pre-Madden, Brookshier had much of the insight, sprinkled with humor that Tony Romo displays today.
  10. 1973, went to the regular season opener against Jets...my first "big league" game in any sport. Never forget walking into Rich and seeing the...ahem... bright green AstroTurf. Bills won that game without scoring a touchdown, 9-7, on the strength of three John Leypoldt (RIP) field goals.
  11. The pride of Oneonta, New York.
  12. It lasts longer? I find the grocery stores, and even Ace Hardware, sell a lower quality feed. Been getting Wagner's and Kaytee from Amazon and Home Depot. I usually give it a couple of days before I fill an empty feeder as well.
  13. I'm going through 30 lbs. of bird food every two weeks...one feeder. I'm spending more on their food than the dog. It's reaching a breaking point soon.
  14. It's the "Aloha" for Western NYers.
  15. Would hardly call his response an "outburst" and I'm sure money is not an issue with Fitz. His wife (he wears his wedding ring when he plays ) is a good friend of Harvard alum Mark Zuckerberg and was an original investor in Facebook.
  16. Yes, it made The Today Show on NBC this morning.
  17. Watching Spain trend on Twitter and other fanbases, especially Chicago's, salivating.
  18. RIP Tony Lewis
  19. Did you see the game last night? Did you notice the weather conditions? 52 yard FGs are rarely "very makeable" in the type of conditions played in last night and probably 50-50 under perfect conditions or in a dome. People treating the Bass miss like it was a chip shot... No, you were right...the defense should have stopped a THIRD AND TWELVE play and given the Bills offense the ball for a chance to win the game.
  20. Not to be Debbie Downer, but if you're going by past years, remember the last time the Bills started 4-0... 2008: The 4-0 Bills fly into Arizona only to be demolished by a Cardinal team that took out Trent Edwards and knocked the living snot out of him and he was never the same...ever...again. Team finished 7-9... The NFL is a week-to-week league and we've been high for a month. You're only as good as your last game. Last night stung, a lot, but it's in the rear-view mirror and the ship has to right itself against Mahomes and company or we're going to think the sky is falling and continue to fall until our next win. The Bills were exposed last night, pure and simple. Porous defense, anemic run game but with a gunslinger that can beat you. We're not the 1990 Bills or even the 2008 squad...we're somewhere in between...and only time will tell.
  21. From the aerial shot, it looked like two Bills shoved Norman out of bounds and that he had a clear field ahead of him for the TD.
  22. Not quite. I watched it on ST live here in Virginia. Correct. The game is on CBS nationwide.
  23. While less than optimal, this looks like a do-able solution.
