Has anyone had that Pittsford Farms Dairy from Hard Knocks?

I grew up in Charlotte and I can remember when an Abbott's cone was 15 cents...I'm sure they're over five bucks now. -

The Once & Future King, John Facenda
Ned Flanders replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup, Raiders-Skins was Facenda's last Super Bowl, and he delivered what I think is his most memorable line: "On came Marcus Allen, running with the night." Facenda was recognized at the HOF, but agree, he needs a bust in Canton. https://www.profootballhof.com/news/2021/06/john-facenda-named-2021-pete-rozelle-radio-television-award-winner/ -

If you're old and over 50, Kevin Gallagher and @Ol_TimeFootball are two of the best follows on X. Heck, if you're under 50, check them out too, if you can put down your Madden controller... -
Listening to Beane the other day on WGR, what struck me is when he said that this is the first time he's had a player hold out or hold in...I think he takes great pride in that and he's pissed about the current situation, especially since Cook was the first player this off season they tried to extend. Maybe the framework of a deal is close and each side needs to create a scenario that saves face...who knows. But if this isn't resolved by the weekend, I think it's going to get real ugly, real fast. I hope I'm wrong here, but the longer this goes, the more the likelihood of serious ill will developing between Cooke and Beane, and that's not good for either side.

how is Rochester? Im considering moving there from NE
Ned Flanders replied to Pete's topic in Off the Wall
Spent all my formative years in Rochester. As I always say, it's a good place to be "from." During the 60s and 70s, your father and your friend's fathers worked at Kodak and the area thrived in the post-war boom...when I left in 1985, the Big Yellow Box employed 55,000 Flower City residents...now it's down to a trickle of that but Rochester has seemed to bounce back relatively well from the glory days of manufacturing. I keep in tune to some of the community pages on social, and as others have said, look to the eastern suburbs for a better, and safer, quality of life. -
I'm old and it's lights out around 9:30...so I'll catch it tomorrow or later in the week. With all the video and on the ground reporting, i.e. Sal C, Astro, etc. yeah it might be different seeing guys in the dining hall or the dorms, but I feel anything we need to know these days is pretty much reported in real time.

Every year they trot out some fashion that's worse than the last season's...glad to see that they're at least consistent. -
The "Sandberg Game" remains one of the best regular season games of all time...I was watching with two Cardinal fans who were going absolute bonkers after his HRs.

You are correct. They don’t take Confederate money. 😄

Do you still watch the NFL Hall of Fame inductions?
Ned Flanders replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I’m around and not doing much, I may tune in, but I won’t make time to watch. -
Who's Elam Fairing? Whoever he is, I'm glad he's doing well in Dallas

Astro is the hardest working man at camp. Thank you, kind sir.

Yes, that's what I meant...two games with the throwbacks. For some reason, Nike can't make a blue throwback jersey.
-
So, we have two throwbacks coming, home and road. The red helmet against the Jets in the finale. And what sounds like a winter white-out in October. The Bills have one of the top five kits in the league...hate to mess with it...and I have no hope Nike will come up with something tolerable in October.

Add Rochester native Chuck Mangione to the list.

Marv Levy, the countdown to 100 years old! (August 3, 2025)
Ned Flanders replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Christmas Day 1993, on the eve of what would then be the coldest game in Bills history, the team put out a call for people to come clear the stadium of snow for the next day's game. Many showed up, for the maybe $10/hour shift. most really needing the money and many without proper winter attire. After practice, seeing the dozens of people clearing the stadium, Marv went into the Bills locker room and rounded up coats, hats, and gloves for the many workers without. I went to the game the next day and it was indeed a bone-chilling cold...and a hard fought division clinching win against the Jets. While the game was indeed memorable, the biggest take-away for me was the thoughtfulness and generosity Marv exhibited the day before.
