  1. I fully agree with this, but I don't think it is the Bills intention to not push EJ. EJ is by all accounts an incredibly hard worker. They hired two more offensive coaches because EJ was asking so many questions. He doesn't need anyone to push him, he pushes himself. With regard to the backup position, Thad played well last year. Especially considering he barely knew the playbook, the coaches or even his own teammates. The FO and coaching staff had to believe he would get better. Honestly what other choices did they have? Vick wanted to play for MM in NY as his old OC. McCown was going with Lovie. Shaun Hill maybe The problem is a lack of decent options in this league. With respect to the draft, after going all in on Sammy, the rest of the draft needed to address OL, LB and other areas and build around EJ. They bet big they would be a playoff team, the backup QB position seemed to be ok after having three guys start a game last year. Thad let them down big time
  2. Ponder would be best but I think the Vikes would be smart to hold onto him. I like Chase Daniel but he has a decent contract and doubt he is cut. Matt Scott and Trent have already been cut
  3. I am actually a little surprised. He was a third round pick not long ago and has shown flashes of being a decent player. I'm surprised someone hasn't offered a conditional 7th that could turn out to be nothing.
  4. I noticed a few days ago I was at 9,999 posts so I decided to wait and really think about what I wanted to say on this momentous occasion. Seeing as how the main board is a cluster!@#$ of negativity at the moment, i've decided to post on OTW today. TBD is a great outlet for a person like me. I love coming here and discussing football, life and funny stories. Even the Peter Pan joke, which i got caught the other day, is great. I love this community and I go here every morning and evening and spend wayyyy too much time on here during the day trying to get my fix. I have learned a ton about football, the NFL and life from posters here. Many on this board have helped me get through personal problems and grow as an individual and I am forever grateful to them. (You know who you are) I want to thank everyone for being here and making this a great place to escape the world sometimes and just talk about football. Although I've gotten into some heated arguments here about everything ranging from whether or not the Hamdan Fan Club made the board crash to if the Bills method of winning was sustainable to serious issues like depression, anxiety and UFO's on the ocean floor, I love it here and I love Bills fans. Now back to the regularly scheduled programming of hot for teacher and EJ bashing. Go Bills -Captain Hindsight
  5. I dont think the community needed Bon Jovi to come together. The simple fact the team sells out more games than not in the middle of a 14 year playoff drought tells me all I need to know about this Community and their love of the Bills
  6. I'm gonna pass here
  7. Sure he had input. I don't see how that is relevant to what happened yesterday
  8. He was mad about the practices, not at Marrone. That decision was more likely Whaley than Marrone anyway
  9. This is all about creating accountability and respect. Its been Marrones mantra since he got here. LIke I said earlier i loved the move today and I hope they show up Saturday and bust some heads. This team is close and for the first time in 15 years we have the talent to win consistently. Someone needs to change the attitude and culture of losing and beating ourselves. Will his tirade change the way the team responds to adversity? I have no idea, but I'm glad he said "get your **** together" instead of "its hard to win in the NFL." Change the attitude. Change the thinking.
  10. Jimmy Haslam was trying to call Marrone to congratulate him as new HC of the Browns. Marrone is well regarded in this league. Look no further than the staff he has assembled. People want to work for him. That says a lot
  11. I have no problem with happened today. In fact, I loved it. About time we had some attitude in WNY You want to unite a team? Sometimes you need to create a common enemy. Maybe Marrone is doing that
  12. you and I live close lol i live off Garnsey!
  13. Everyone in the NFL now knows they can get in his head. No chance this kid starts week one. It would be an unmitigated disaster *grabs popcorn*
  14. Watch any Bill Belicheat presser and come back. See how you feel about that answer then.
  15. You should rewatch some games
  16. Look no further than last year with the Packers. Rodgers goes down and this playoff team goes from Rodgers to Seneca Wallace to Scott Tolzien in 6 days. They proceed to finish 8-7-1 after starting 5-2. That is with a super bowl winning coach.
  17. When I hear a troll under a bridge
  18. Ah yes but the difference between Warner and Tebow is Warner can complete a pass
  19. This is about right Meanwhile some kid named EJ would be on the bench and wed be screaming to give the kid a shot! I actually think quite the opposite. They put a lot of trust in him to run a hurry up offense. Very few protection errors and no delay of games I can remember. EJ is by all accounts a sponge. If the kid keeps asking, you keep teaching
  20. Money wasnt the issue with Byrd. He wanted to play for NO. He said so in an interview before he was a FA. I think it was on ESPN right after the tag dadline To your point, the dead money hasnt kept us from signing anyone, not sure how it has hindered us
  21. I give him a higher percentage that 20% but I am concerned. His mechanics look better this year and he is still young. I expect him to improve as the year goes. But I must say that no tds in 3 games worries me. Manual has the tools, just got to out it together
  22. all three
  23. The. Baggage argument is rediculous. These guys are in the business of winning. If they think a player could help them win they will take a chance on him. The league is full of examples of this Ray rice, Vick, roethlisburger, TO, anyone with a criminal record. No GM thinks Tebow is good enough. That's why he is a broadcaster
