Chris Simms thinks Stidham is more talented than Tua
mannc replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you are wrong. The pistol offense they ran at Oregon was a terrible match for his skill-set, especially after they refused to let him run, his senior year. I think he’s going to be a really good pro. -
Chris Simms thinks Stidham is more talented than Tua

You should be. He’s going to be the best QB in this class, and he’s walking into a very good situation in LA. He’s what Josh Allen would have looked like if he’d started 4 years at a major program. -
I’m more than a little disappointed that no one has cued up that epic video of a liquored-up Baker being chased and tackled by the cops...

Oh, I get it. The people who left Kaepernick out to dry for three years are in a tough position right now...doesn’t mean I can’t laugh at them.
-
Interesting. I don’t recall JJ Watt (or BOB) speaking out on Kaepernick’s behalf before now. Smells like disingenuous opportunism to me...

A laughable take. Herbert is ten times the prospect Osweiler was. -
Chris Simms thinks Stidham is more talented than Tua

So guys who go higher in the draft are always better than guys who go later? Come on, you know better than that. You act as though it’s an objective fact that Tua is a better QB than Stidham when neither has played more than a couple of snaps... -
Chris Simms thinks Stidham is more talented than Tua

How is it stupid talk? Tua is injury-prone, undersized and has yet to take a snap in even a preseason NFL game, and Stidham has barely played a series in the NFL. He was a good college QB at a top program and has good tools. Simms has been right far more than he’s been wrong, especially when it comes to evaluating QBs. -
Probably. I just wonder if sometimes the publicity can work against a guy like Oliver, with a DA who doesn’t want to be seen rolling over for the rich and famous.

People would be shocked at the things a good defense lawyer can do to undermine a DWI charge...

No, he’s being processed right now...

Who’s on the Buffalo Bills Mt Rushmore?
mannc replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kinda hard to leave OJ off. He’s the only Buffalo Bill who was unquestionably the best player in football, which he was for at least two or three seasons. -
Just looked at Brady’s 2019 stats, and you’re right. Not a terrible year, but well below his standard. I was basing my take on the games I saw him play, where he looked very limited in what he could do. As we know, Belichick doesn’t wait for guys to bottom out...
-
Stidham will not be as good as Brady was last year in certain areas, but he’ll also be able to do a lot of things Brady wouldn’t or couldn’t do. Brady was very limited.
-
Brady was pretty awful last year. How much worse could Stidham be? At least he can move and won’t throw the ball into the ground at the first hint of a pass rush. I’m pretty sure Belichick did not want another season of that.

Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy on Jake Fromm

Not buying it. At UGA, he played week after week against teams like Alabama, Florida, LSU, and Auburn—all packed with NFL-caliber DBs. He’s not playing against future insurance salesmen. -
Report: Bills we’re taking Dugger at 54 if he was there

What was their plan for Dugger if they had taken him? He’s not beating out Poyer or Hyde any time soon... -
Tyler Bass, kicker, might be Bills' best pick
mannc replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is interesting. I did not know that so few drafted kickers became successful with the team that drafted them. (Maybe that’s why so few are drafted, despite the importance of the position.). You would think that kickers who were great in college would almost automatically succeed in the NFL because what they do is essentially the same both places, especially for guys who kicked at major programs in front of NFL-size crowds. I would think the adjustment would be greater for guys like Bass, who kicked at smaller schools, in front of smaller crowds, presumably with less pressure. -

Place kicker is the most underrated position in football. A great kicker can be the difference in 2-3 games per season—the difference between making the playoffs and being home for New Years. Other than QB, you can’t say that about many other positions. It’s no accident that very few playoff teams have below average kickers. -
If Zay had put up 1000 yards receiving in OAK last year, this board would have melted down 10 times over.

You mean, like Austin Jackson, the Phins’ new franchise left tackle?

Rd 5, Pick 167: QB Jake Fromm, Georgia
mannc replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that is hyperbole. He wasn’t exactly playing against a bunch of stiffs in college. He played against teams stacked with NFL talent most weeks..
