I think the preseason with starters just showed that we need a lot of work before the season. Without preseason do they even realize they need a wakeup call ? Preseason don't count but how can the team actually realize what is working and what is not without some action against someone else besides the same ol same ol every practice. Preseason serves a very important purpose IMO

Allen with the 1st unit need some reps against another team NEVER understood the mentality of sitting starters/QB till the season starts. They are still working stuff out and need the kind of input that can be gained by playing against someone else besides the Bills D over and over again

I stopped watching ESPN about a decade ago.... for all the reasons listed I can get all the football / hockey info I need through the forums and the multitude of online journalism thats focused on what I'm intersted in and no longer have to listen to ESPN blather on about stuff I'm not interested in

Everytime Hamlin makes a splashy play or gets a game mention for performance you can bet the farm there will be a reference to that fateful day. Now imagine if Hamlin were to have an all pro season... you can bet it would ad naseum... regardless, its a powerful story so we know they are going to play those cards every opportunity they get. We are losing him no matter what. If he performs well he will get paid more than we can afford, if he plays like last year we are letting him walk. We need to draft our #2 so we can have some salary control.

When I read about Sherfield and his troubles trying to get playing time ahead of higher draft players in Miami and Arizona, I felt JA and the BIlls Coaching would see it if he demonstatraed it in camp/preseason, and he would get increased playing time this season. Looks like he is on track for exactly that
