  1. Well that's a completely different conversation.... However after 2 years we can cut him for cap savings... or cut him next year for a mere $1 million hit according to https://overthecap.com/player/star-lotulelei/2282/ so its not as horrible as it sounds we can get out early if its that bad
  2. Darius is an obvious headcase who is still getting into trouble so lets not even bring that into the conversation. I agree Lotulelei has been a concern......but if I read our stats correctly.. 3.35 ypc 95 yards a game this preseason. I'm not sure how much of that is 1st string 2nd string or 4th string but that's a positive sign for run D https://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?group=D&cat=R&yr=2018&lg=NFL
  3. Lotulelei is a gap eater not a penetrator.. He's going to be invisible all year long.. It will show up in our run defense stats YPC but none of that matters if they can pass at will.. so hopefully our pass d has some wrinkles we have not seen
  4. They will next year.. No NFL team will be cutting or trading quality OL it just does not happen. We may pick up a long in the tooth serviceable vet who has a year left in them but that's probably as good as it gets this year. Newhouse I heard was the LT...
  5. Jerry Sullivan is that you, or are you Bucky? .. This is a complete grasp for a conspiracy theory to hang your hat on. I'm really only concerned with the OL and so much of that is from unfortunate circumstances....
  6. 2 days ago I would of said no way.. Today I'm thinking we are most definitely drafting top 5. granted things could turn out better than most of think, but I'm just not encouraged with the way our OL was literally man handled like they have no business in the league
  7. well if she goes psycho on him or he does something he should not like cheat it will be a very uncomfortable situation... This is a very thin line to walk yep... could be a very bad thing to have to face the mom and dad if things go sideways
  8. WR is not an issue for us IMO, and Incognito had a deal in place but reneged, and that would of not mattered as he has clearly gone off the rails. Woods was unfortunate... but I do agree, since my hindsight is 20/20, we really need quality interior OL / C He traded up for Watkins when Mack was sitting there. Now tell me again how great Whaley was for us..
  9. Worst OL I have ever seen in my entire time watching this team, and weve had some bad ones. Defense has not impressed even a little... Yeah im not confident at this junction
  10. He's number 2 if were talking bathroom movements
  11. wrong duo your confused with
  12. Ok but repeat what y ou said above into a classic batman cliff hanger ending
  13. writes itself don't it
  14. It look like 8 to 12 quarters of TT play
  15. A pair of impressive scoring drives does the trick without any blatant boneheaded mistakes in the non scoring drives
  16. Nope not square 1 we are beyond square one but it does pretty much shut the door on Allen starting week 1 unless Peterman also stinks it up as well. If both stink it up maybe then we are back to square 1 I guess this does not apply to spelling but its still funny
  17. Its a combination.. Neither trumps the other IMO... together they form a larger picture. The combines is mostly pure analytics, but the combine has turned lower rated prospects into 1st rd busts but has also found some hidden gems just the same I would agree the baseball analytics are definitely cleaner for interpretation based upon exactly what you are saying.. Its a game mostly of individual perfromace where the data can be dissected in a more cut and dry way. but its still very useful in football its just has to be scrutinized and combined with scouting and game film much more
  18. I kind of see a different player. I see a guy ahead of the curve already.. Impressive in his ball placement and pocket awareness, outside a few mistakes which any rookie is going to experience. However this weekend will be the big test of course The eyeball test is much different with Allen.. EJ had decent stats but never looked good, never looked comfortable. Allen has decent stats but actually looks like he see the field and can dissect the D some and make adjustments when necessary.
  19. analytics will get the data right 9 out of 10 times IMO.. and is still a very useful tool.. I'm sure analytics played a part in the data the bills used to justify Allen as the pick. Also analytics measures more than just stats.. Not sure if everyone understands that. There a plethora of ways to break down numbers that don't necessarily follow the raw stats. but I think it goes without saying there is more than just data on every player.. How many 1st rd QB bust have there been... How many successful QB's with sub 60% (within a few % points) have gone on to have successful QB careers over the last 2 decades?... Like you (the OP) said there are plenty of individual case by case scenarios that need to factor in. SO the best scouts GM's coaches can use data and the eyeball test / film and more to form the full picture and to put players in the best spots to succeed.
  20. I only follow the bills.. I've never really cared about watching any other games... Never really interest me.. Once the teams I have emotional attachment have played their game or have been eliminated (Sabres / Bills) I'm done... I just cannot watch a sport if a Buffalo team is not representing. No interest no matter the sport
  21. No doubt, just look at Hughes 1st seasons with Buffalo. Easily his best years with us and that was because Mario was commanding double teams on the opposite side.
  22. I don't think its even a question, a man like Mack knows its Bleu Cheese or bust. His Momma didn't raise no fool I'm sure
  23. Well he could take off, circle the airport 2 or three times and then land again, that would be a good sign eh!
