thinking tom brady is the coolest, smoothest dude in town would (and should) be an unpopular opinion here, but women making good managers? i seriously hope not.

i forgot to mention that my friend and his brother are both big syracuse fans as well. they like basketball much more than football though. my friend was indifferent to the marrone hiring. i had to tell him about the pinstripe bowl because he didn't know about it. i'm guessing that his brother didn't know about it either but i can't be sure. it might have been on the local news there.

if this meeting happened closer to syracuse, you might have run into my friend from auburn. he lives in los angeles now. his brother is still there though. he's a music teacher. (the brother, that is. my friend is a sommelier.) i guess it's possible my friend might have been there if he decided to take a trip home or something. he's a good guy.

would it help if he prefaced his remarks with, "obviously"?

i definitely remember people making the case for him. the meat of their argument was that he wouldn't take crap from anyone (agents, players, i suppose) and would will the team to glory. it was a laughable and confused position.

i have no problem with it. one can't hoist coach schwartz upon one's shoulders if one is not properly rested.

i initially read it all because i felt bad about all the criticism "the pipe" was receiving. i ended up liking it! how can you not respect a man (or woman) who ends his/her letter of advice to terry by basically saying s/he wants to get with kim. that's pretty sweet! also, it's pretty cool that s/he refers to him/herself as "the pipe." pass on, the pipe, pass on!

if frank becomes the next head coach, you know the commentators are going to mention the comeback game literally every single time the bills are trailing. and since we're always losing, that means we're gonna hear it a lot. it will be this generation's "fitz went to harvard and wears a wedding band." i can hear spero dedes now, "frank reich...of course famous for leading the bills' comeback against the oilers...looking for another miracle comeback here..." it will be insufferable. that video of steve christie and reich jumping up and down after the kick will become as ubiquitous as the shots of niagara falls and the anchor bar dude tossing wings in hot sauce.

i think ralph is resting fairly comfortably. it's not like anything was preventing him from rehiring polian in the last 20 years if he so chose.
